    Hi,
is that possible to mix to decline curves as a one solution. for example mix between Hyperbolic and Exponential curves ?

yes there are known methods to combine hyperbolic and exponential curves into one DCA, particularly for unconventional tight gas reservoirs

Please how do we determine the qi (the gas initial production rate) knowing the pressure only?

Thanks for tuning in Musab. You can get the code and gas production data I use in the video at topdogengineer.com/decline-curve-analysis-rate-time-forecasting/. You will learn a lot just developing the template. Hope it helps!

You mention minimizing the loss between arps and your data for the best fit line, so why not just include this loss function in your code as opposed to having to manually alter each arps parameter. It almost defeats the purpose of writing code at all.
