Me and my husband were arm reach from stage we were hurt but got through it because of the forever friends we made through sugarland ❤❤😊😊love you Jennifer and kristian
I live in Wyoming and there are moments where the wind isn't there and within seconds we are running into the house. The weather can change in an instant, color and all. I think Sugarland being blamed was wrong.
Yes. It was an act of God. I've been to many concerts in Indianapolis. Dozens. They often delay for weather but the freakish wind that night couldn't have been predicted.
I lived close to the grounds when this happened. I remember how unusual that storm was. The kids kicked up and got really strong far in advance of the storm.
I’m from Indiana born and raised there! I went to Indiana State Fair most of my childhood never felt afraid or scared but I still can’t believe this tragedy happened! RIP to those lives lost! If I’m not mistaken there was another tragedy at Indiana State Fair years ago? Involving the Indiana State Fair Coliseum! I’m referring to gas explosion!
Whenever tragedy strikes everyone wants somebody to blame, and its easy to say we'll just blame this on the band, its their fault for not cancelling the show, well the fans there saw the storm and should have known something like this could happen,so they should have either taken shelter somewhere or just went back home so they are just as much to blame for this as anyone.
you people forget theres also venue workers, local workers, sugarland workers, and also sugarland themselves whose lives were at risk. the only ones to blame is sugarland. and ofc fans knew that the storm could prob cause something to go wrong, but not the whole stage collapsing. average person doesnt even know how stages like this are built, and most likely just thinks it's just stationed like that. sugarland is the only blame who couldve prevented those people from getting hurt
What you cared about MOST was performing as much of the show as possible before the storms were to begin at 9:15 pm. Perform the bulk of the show = you get paid in full, even if the concert is cut short. So, you rolled the dice, the storms came in earlier than anticipated, and seven people lost their lives. Certainly, the State Fair officials should have just cancelled the show (your thoughts be damned), with ISP making the ultimate decision from a public safety aspect, but you cannot deny your culpability.
I was there when it happened and I can definitely say they never warned us to evacuate or to maybe back up or anything, nothing. and the clouds were so dark it was really unbelievable that they wouldn't do anything about it
Well if you investigate what happened, and know the Organizers wanted to postpone it until after the storm but Sugarland said they wanted to go on stage on time, 830, they didn't want to wait until the Storm passed..should have waited, so yea i blame them.
True, but if you do research, you will see that Sugarland were not properly informed on the intensity of the storm. They were never made aware of the expected wind, lightning, and hail. Overall, nobody was properly informed until it was too late. The event organizers were actually on their way to evacuate due to the storm, but got their as the stage collapsed. For me, the only way Sugarland should be a part of the lawsuits is if it was their stage. Cause I know sometimes the stages are part of the grounds and not brought by the performers and sometimes they are stages brought by the performers.
Why was it even set up during high winds? The manager an all staff should've knew better. No concern for peoples safety, I wouldn't be no where near something like that especially at high winds
I was there that night. earlier that evening it was a really nice summer evening. We knew there would be storms later on that night but we didn't know it would be anywhere near as bad as it was (although you can never tell with Indiana weather) Just about the same time the wind started was when the stage fell. But they should have evacuated everyone when they saw the approaching clouds get darker and darker. I was 7 at the time and even I could tell the approaching storm looked really bad so the people who were in charge definitely could tell too.
Why it took her long for at she shouldn't even at in when a in was a very bad stroms in the first.place. The people got hurt very bad But I noticed she when back.
Jennifer feit guilty what happened and she when back to in so she got away with it. Just because she give them a free coneret. Just to make her laugh and at not right. Because I feel very bad the people got hurt and kill.
And this is why since that incident they haven’t done anything. It seems like she has a black heart. I use to love the band. But now. I see her and them as a waste of money. Money is the root of all evil. And that is the only thing that she cares about. I was a fan of theirs. But I’m no longer one.
Yeah smiling ear to ear while talking about the tragedy is a little despicable. I guess its hard to be upset when you and the company your band hired dodge any responsibility and got paid for the show anyways. Like you guys give a shit about little ol indiana! Im sorry but just the smiling and light heartedness creeps me out, 7 people died while attending your show! You should've cancelled it at the first sight of bad weather and you chose to wait till the last min, well it was a min to late. Sorry if this offends anyone but I don't care this happened in my home town and the companies involved have hardly taken any responsibility for the incident.
Yeah. I made that comment a while ago and was pretty angry when I wrote it. My initial feeling and reasoning led me too really feel that the staging companies should've taken full resposiblity fr everything including the deaths. I may have made some strong accusations but I believe there may have been a few good points made. I really really dont think that it was any ones intention to hurt any one and I certainly don't think its personal to any one who represents the company in its defense etc.. I'm really sorry about any negative things I said about this person.
well even with rock on the range, when we went the weather wasn't even bad but being in a steel area they delayed the show due to weather even if it just rained a little after the storm cell passed. Point is safety was the number one priority and it doesn't seem like that was the approach here
she looks like she is happy about it, it probably didnt matter to her because all she lost was money, she could atleast say sorry for the lives her concert took.
They turned the tragic loss of normal " " people into as if Sugar land could've been out there so it would be more tragic then cuz they were celebrities.
They weren't saying that at all. She was asking Jennifer how she felt because she very easily could have been killed herself. She wasn't asking her as a celebrity she was asking her as a person
Wy did Jennifer blame on the people When should blama on Sugar Land not people,s Slot of people got hurt and kill The reason why Jennifer give them free concert because she feels guilty what happened . Because she went back. And she said the she blamed on the people,s. At not very nice . I can't believe she say what.
crazy to think people actually blame sugarland when they could have been the ones who were killed or injured.
Wow they have a heart of gold so sad for those who died

I remember this tragedy - my mother was so concerned and interested in this and then she died 10 days later.
RIP MEAGAN.... Turpin high School ❤️ ❤️ Eli too, my brother ❤️❤️ I'm sorry it took me so long!
3 beautiful ladies. Such sadness.
her tone is soooo cold.
Right …. Wtf
What do you want her to do? Burst into tears? Put on a nice show for the cameras? She's obviously very nervous and upset about talking about it.
I agree…. “I wept…”.. that’s it? That’s all you have to say about it?

@buffylow68 I read about that. Halloween 1963 gas killed 74? One kid came out of coma minus 2 parents and JFK in December 1963.

@@unoriginxlityNot to mention they did a pre evacuation notice, telling everyone that if a storm occurs where to go.
I remember this. Quite scary to see. :(
did the band hang so much heavy speakers equipment light show to be do he’s y to have played a role combined with wind that caused it
If it were a metal act, we wouldn't hear the end.

I had a stroke reading that. You are an idiot if you think Sugarland was responsible.
