@@Aki-Ho The entire modern wave of math rock is influenced by TOE. They've been around for 24 years and are basically the GOAT. I used to spam MP3's of TOE, Downy, Acidman, The Back Horn, Cornelius, Seagull Screaming Kiss Her Kiss Her, and Number Girl on my huge IPOD while delivering flowers in like 2005. Japan has a wildly eclectic and large music scene outside of Math Rock too. If you like TOE I gotta recommend a band that toured with them The Mercury Program and their album A Data Learn the Language.
Toe is a band that transports you. For me, their stuff requires a quiet introspective mood but can be incredibly moving. Definitely night time music. Try "Premonition / Desert of Human" Then "Ordinary Days" Finally "Two Moons"
Another Japanese band "paranoid void" is also a mathrock band for Prog fans. Try their live vid "null 【LIVE : one take session 】Official Music Video / paranoid void -" or "paranoid void - ゲシュタルトの箱庭 / 世界の全ては live at 西永福JAM (Official Live Movie)".
@@shammerHammer it got me too. it'll still get me from time to time lol. its hard to put into words how amazing it is, so much energy/emotion/passion all in one.
some videos of them I really recommend are these tbh. I love their drummer so much and just every time I hear a new song it hits. ruclips.net/video/jDHmg8Mb9wo/видео.htmlsi=mTOKpIemRW5Emb3Z ruclips.net/video/J43DI4Jn-Gc/видео.htmlsi=eh1D8mSOmrYN_AKi
Toe became an instant favorite for me when I first discovered them. And it didn't take much for Takashi to become my favorite drummer.
So glad you covered this song, probably in my top 15 songs of all time for me
same bro the drums are so beautiful
I always get recommended reactions to toe, and i love them . toe is just so good. thanks for the video
Glad you enjoyed!
Thank you Dean.

Try "Premonition / Desert of Human"
Then "Ordinary Days"
Finally "Two Moons"
when they perform in a daytime setting it just feels a different way
Hear You is such a banger of an album. If you don't know already, TOE has been posting on social media the past few weeks and is working on an album.
Joyous news
Ayo! More 'mathrock'

you should check out the live performance at The Regent. when they played this song, it feels WAY more emotional IMHO.
Dude I literally cried during that one. Out loud. No idea why. it just got me.
