Jrue's value is misunderstood by so many. Particularly in this type of series. I agree with Chuck from TNT. The reason you'll be tired in games like this is that you're playing physical defense from beginning to end. The only thing that matters is that you win. Jrue does small things that turn into big things.
I'll never forget the Olympic team that struggled to win. The moment Jrue showed up, everything changed. After Durant, he played the second most minutes. The US Olympic team had only offensive players. They needed defensive players. That's Junior Holiday. He gives you 15 to 20 points and plays elite defense. Plus, he always is big in moments.

If you think the smart foul was a shooting foul your not familiar with the new rules. It was a rip through. Jrue made contact pretty much as soon as he caught the ball. No player would try to shoot that shot unless they knew a foul was coming. The rule stops those trick fouls that harden would thrive with.

Nice to see the adjustments. You have to watch your own film because the Celtics do. The know where every players shot release is, the way they run, attack, dribble, they know how Giannis spins and every way you do things. You have to shot awkward angles to avoid the shot contest.

Newsflash: refs ain't that bad. They really aren't. If you have 3 complaints after a game, that's 23 other damn good calls. There are outliers (Wade 2006), but 9/10 times you can point bad players (Tatum) and bad plays (Smart rip-through), wayy before the refs. They don't magically miss calls more for you than them; it's called fandom. Focus and root for your team, and maybe they'll play better.

To any experienced ref, it's a pretty quick spot. And lack of overturns falls under coaches wasting challenges, or the point I made about luck not magically shining in the other teams favour; because that's not how chance works.

IMO Boston is such a great team. Watching it felt like the Bucks were playing amazing and then check the score and Boston is right there within a possession all game. Shooting those two 3's leading by 1, and in the Bonus was just plain dumb. don't blame the refs you just knew the bucks were going to take advantage of that. that's when the game was lost because up until those two shots the Celtics were in full control.

Pivotal point in the series. Celtics need to dedicate themselves to 3 things imo. 1) Get Giannis out of 1-on-1 situations. Late help defense is just giving him and-1s. You either need to people to slide and press early, or to keep out his hands in the first place. 2) Keep Giannis out transition. See a long rebound, don't go for it but get ahead of the problem. Giannis is smart, he won't try and bulldoze a wall on a fastbreak; you've got to get ahead. 3) Either shoot better, or get over the Lopez/Giannis barrier. The Bucks can't shoot a lick rn, and it's frankly embarrassing to see all these bricks. Either try and trap Giannis and Lopez in motion whilst getting floaters and paint jumpers, or don't shoot 40% from the field.
I have a simple take. If Tatum scored 12 pts (already way below his average) instead of just 10 pts, the Celtics would've won the game

If you let Giannis go for 40 again, and the Bucks roleplayers actually make shots, the Celtics are getting spanked. You can't both allow Giannis to get forty, and double-digit assists, *and* whatever shots Jrue/Lopez/Portis make on their own. As it pertains to game 3 specifically, you're 100% right.
