I think his chest been crushed not much before Episode 3, in the mission when separatists capture Palpatine ans Episode 3 begins when Palpatine is rescued.
To be fair, he didn't run away in this particular scene, just lured Obi-Wan away from his troops. Why would he wait for Obi-Wan out in the open to engage him again instead of jumping into his ship otherwise?
I love seeing how the fight choreography evolves through the show. In seasons 1 & 2, it was all just snappy, quick movements and a freeze frame. But once we got to season 3 here, they started implementing little things from the live action films that just even though they're subtle, really help it feel more authentic. You can definitely tell by just the number of times people just twirl their lightsaber either in between attacks or whenever they break off for a second. And I could go on about how it evolves even more all the way through to season 7 but that would take too long and this is only season 3
Another instance where the writers had to be sure that Grievous and Anakin didn't come face to face because of their exchange of dialogue in Revenge of the Sith.
It’s interesting how we can see anakin’s fighting prowess change over time. In the beginning of the war, he was probably equal with ventress. By this battle, you can tell he’s the dominant fighter, and by the end of the war, he’s far and away stronger than ventress and was closer to dooku’s level.
Obi-wan: I'll take on Grievous. You take on Ventress. Anakin: But I want to see if he's as tall as I expect! Obi-wan: No! You're not allowed to meet him until we become live action again! Anakin: Aw... I don't like being live action. I lose my charisma when I'm live action...

In another fight he kicks obi-Wan to the ground and says the story of Obi-Wan Kenobi ends here instead of continuing to attack a defenseless Kenobi. In another duel, he saber locks Kenobi and kicks him again only to stop moving and allow Cody to shoot a fuel barrel thrown by Obi-Wan, stopping Grievous for the moment so Kenobi can run. In another fight he actually finally gets Obi-Wan in a position of helplessness in a season 7 deleted scene but decides to place his sabers over his throat and laugh instead of killing him. WukFanatic no they got him right. As his chest was forced crushed he lost most of his warrior abilities if you will. And now takes less risk and takes a cowardly approach
I think his chest been crushed not much before Episode 3, in the mission when separatists capture Palpatine ans Episode 3 begins when Palpatine is rescued.
I honestly think this grievous is just as good as the legends version
To be fair, he didn't run away in this particular scene, just lured Obi-Wan away from his troops. Why would he wait for Obi-Wan out in the open to engage him again instead of jumping into his ship otherwise?
Earlier in the War Windu used Force crush out of anger and it severely weakened him.
1:27 that was a brutal unarmed combo. A throw by the face followed by thrown into the roof and then punched on the way down
3:04 when ventress got tired of fighting defensive and went all out
I love ventress‘s suave departure
Another instance where the writers had to be sure that Grievous and Anakin didn't come face to face because of their exchange of dialogue in Revenge of the Sith.
Sometimes grievous uses all 4 lightsabers against Obi wan, sometimes he only uses 2. Jeez dude make up your mind
If it's 2003 Grievous, He'd only need 2 to kill Kenobi. However in 2008 and ROTS, couldn't beat him with 4.
When he uses 2 he wins, when he uses 4 he loses, logik
@@phillipwalling7470 He couldn’t kill kenobi at all, kenobi kills him in ep 3. Stop with this power rating nonsense it’s annoying
I like how anikan and grievous just keep missing each other, only meeting in ROTS
It’s interesting how we can see anakin’s fighting prowess change over time. In the beginning of the war, he was probably equal with ventress. By this battle, you can tell he’s the dominant fighter, and by the end of the war, he’s far and away stronger than ventress and was closer to dooku’s level.
"no one can fight toe to toe with Obi Wan"
General Grievous: hold my beer
2:24 looks like obi wan lost the high ground
Ventress: "We just destroyed the Republics production of Clones!"
Darth Sidious: "... You what?"
3:14 what a legend
The way Anakin fights is awesome. Once he goes beast mode it’s game over
So what DNA is that? Blood, Semen, Hair, Skin?
Blood
Semen. Lots and lots of semen
Oreboy64 to make sure it’s all correct and thorough data, probs all 4.
1:33 Your clone army is dooOOOoomed
I was genuinely terrified that the clones would open fire and start getting slaughtered by Ventress when I first watched this as a kid
Name a better relationship than kenobi and general grievous
Grievous and Ventress 👀
Kenobi and Ventress🗿
Your Jedi Arts will make a fine addition to my collection.
omfg the plot armour. greivous could easily have killed obi at 1:20
Phoenix Fire hes constantly trying to crush people with his feet.
Or kick people around
+MultiMarcoMax whatever you say
+Phoenix Fire Why did Annakin want to kill Asajj Ventress ? I'sn't straight up murder against the Jedi way.
Shonen Hikada why is that relevant? because it isnt.
1:08 grievous was fucking throwing kenobi lol
Obi-wan: I'll take on Grievous. You take on Ventress.
Anakin: But I want to see if he's as tall as I expect!
Obi-wan: No! You're not allowed to meet him until we become live action again!
Anakin: Aw... I don't like being live action. I lose my charisma when I'm live action...
this was one of grievouses good fights in the clone wars.
Grevios is funny and badass at the same time lol
3:12 That clones move was 10/10 badass
I love how as soon as obi wan starts using the force, grievous almost always retreats
He kinda has to because at that point he’s basically lost; they’re not cut off from it due to surprise and intimidation anymore
@@ourempires6457 exactly. Kenobi was a greatly disciplined Jedi master, so he never really got cut off from the force around grievous. That’s why they were known to be rivals during the war….
The way Anakin blocked her force push- it was incredibly unbelievable.
1:38 kenobi force pushed grievous all the way down the hallway! 😮😂
They just loved to tease us with Anakin and Grievous. Numerous times in this show, they were in the same area, but then Anakin would go to a different area before they have a chance to meet and fight. This, on the Malevolence, that episode with R3, the episode with Eath Koth, and the one with the gungans where he ran after the evil guy while Grievous was landing and then got traded for each other. Literally went right past each other but Anakin was mostly unconscious.
Grievous: "hey i could just stab Obi Wan with my second Lightsaber"
*proceeds to grab him instead, start talking BS on him*
1:55
Ventress uses the same move Ashoka uses against maul. Maybe Anakin learned it from Ventress and taught Ashoka?
Possibly but I think it is more like how individuals with two lightsabers fight against individuals who only have 1. I have a feeling there will be some similarities in the fighting style in that regard.
Ventress actually looks a bit cute at 0:12.
+Cybermat47
...You're weird.
+General Grievous and you're a robot spider.
Cybermat47
Please, cyborg spider. =P
Lol she looks so happy
3:15 real smooth clone poses
Love these battles
1:30 Grievous has the chance to kill Obi-wan but instead he decides to tell him the obvious if he wins the duel.
Yes. Always happens lmfao. Grievous has beat Obi-Wan in a duel like 5 times in this series and always talks about it at the end LOL
First time he stops after Obi-Wan is on the ground, slowly raises his sabers and Obi-Wan leaps away. Here he gloats about how Kamino is totally doomed and gets force pushed away. RIDICULOUS LOL
Man grievous had so many chances to kill obi wan
this scene among others should be titled "Obi-Wan-Kenobi: world's luckiest jedi"
I love it when Obi-Wan said,"Define easy, General"
Damn..now after Bad Batch Episode 15 all this was basically..for nothing. RIP Kamino and RIP every Soldier who fell, trying to defend it
these scenes in clone wars make me wonder how obi wan defeated grievous so easily in the movies
Grievous's organs were crippled by Windu right before ROTS
@@Jaerek only in 2003s CW. This takes place in roughly 21 BBY. AotC took place in 22 BBY (a year earlier) and RotS took place in 19 BBY, 2 years later. 2003 Clone Wars is no longer canon and hasn't been since early 2008.
The clone catching the capsule was badass.
Two things that always happen, bad guys get the cool tech and they always get away
so much better animated than star wars rebels...
how fast is kenobi swinging his lightsaber around :0 i wanna learn that too
In the next episode of Star Wars the Clone Wars, watch as Anakin and his clones are going to commit another war crime by executing an defeated enemy
this is my favorite episode in Season 3
0:47 hello there
Anakin: “Actually, I plan to let the clones execute you right now.”
Ventress: “Not this time.”
Me: “not this time? You’ve been executed by clones before Ventress?”
Wel, that certainly explains why she was willing to fight them even when she completely left the Dark Side.
Bruh she was just saying not that time she wasn’t implying that they’ve done that 😂
It's funny how Grievous has to mention to Obi-Wan in Episode III that he's been trained in lightsaber combat when this scene is showing that they've dueled before.
Clone Wars really takes every chance it can to remind you that Anakin is a total psychopath
