OK let's do it right this time!! The place where I was born and brought up. Love Keighley and the people. I try to visit at least once a year but with Covid, haven't made it for a bit. I gotta get up there this year and pester the publicans of Keighley for a while!
when did the Cavendish pub closed down did they remove the craves to extend the pathway at Church Green Where's the Jobcentre gone that was that used to be by the market
Nothing wrong with parkwood flats there ok plus have been done up since i lived there when i worked at mcdonalds on cavendish street. Was best of both worlds best community from both :). Both were amazing and no bother.
If you hit the space bar and pause it the street location will appear in the lower left of the screen. BTW the pronunciation is NOT KeiTH-lee, the GH is a guttural sound, as all English words with those letters in them were originally pronounced.
@@shidy121 Difficult question since it depends on your own personal interests, but within reasonable distance of this area you can't go far wrong with York. Or if you're into nature, the Lake District.
@@002lisamarie In my experience no, like I said if you don’t know anyone your in for a hard time plus it’s very isolated once your in kly it’s pretty hard to move out

Another fantastic walking tour - well done 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Very enjoyable stroll on this fine day.👌
Much appreciated, thanks!
I liked the old bus station as was quite rustic with the big double deckers and hoppers my grandma called them.
A gorgeous day for your walk.

You should have visited Cliffe Castle and Parkwood. They're great walks in Keighley and Utley, Long Lee, High Field areas xx
Funny nobody goes to Devonshire Park you literally walk past it to get to cliffe castle
Great channel .

Is the Jobcentre still the jobcentre or has it gone elsewhere. There use to be two one for looking for work and the other for cashing your giro?

My mum called the war memorial "old mans park" i dont know if that was just my mums calling it that or that was its proper name?.
Where cash generators is that was a book shop for years, had books signage on the outside.

What was your honest opinion of Keighley?
It's not somewhere I'd recommend for a holiday or day trip, but the surrounding landscape is stunning and the locals seem friendly.

Keighley looks dead, always busy in the 90’s
that cant be keighley, theres no crackhead shoplifters and feral foreign youths intimidating anyone
