Hey, great video! Good job getting your new revenue stream. I just want to let you know that according to your scale ticket you were not over weight anywhere. When you are in combination and have a CDL A that 14,000 GVWR on your sticker means nothing essentially. It goes off your axle rating on the door sticker which if you add them they will always be over the GVWR, should be some where around 15,200 or 15,300 so you were perfectly fine the way you were setting. Just food for thought, keep up the hard work and stay safe.
I actually have been running like that. But got into a debate with someone who pulled up documentation. And said that
GVWR 14k
5500 front axle
9750 drive axle.
But according to laws have to abide by lowest number. Even know my axle rate can take them.
Which to me it’s confusing.
But I’ve just always went by axle ratings
First time checking out your videos, good stuff !!! keep on doing ya thing 👍👍
Appreciate it bud. I’ve been going a while. I don’t post like I should. I just do my best to keep it real.
Thanks man!
Who load those vehicles into your trailer?
Good stuff Brad, liking the channel
Hey Jay
I appreciate that man!!
Just some FYI. Diesel is a tad under 7# a gallon, water is 8#.
Really…. Thanks for the correction.
Crazy that water weighs more!!
Great info !! Keep trucking
Yessir. Appreciate the comment man.
Good video bro 👌 1 chain 1 binder or 1 chain 2 binders thanks
I use both ways. If I can do 1 run all the across I use 1. But if I can only do 1 corner I will use 1 chain/ 2 binders
Where the hell u sleep with all the crap in the back?
Good job Sir! I really appreciate that information, very useful. I look forward to seeing more of your videos! Thank you!👍🏾✌🏿Ken!!
In the back. Everything goes into the front seat it’s 2 bags and some pillows,(Clothes. Laptop bag). Slide seats forward. BAM
I appreciate that Ken. I really do bud. Thank you for the comment.
thats a great rate ! I'm always struggling with the weight ratings, but my biggest thing is stopping, my 3500 just doesnt seem to want to stop those heavy loads, big 22gn trailer
Mine use to do the same. My trailer has disc brakes. Totally changed my stopping power
@@TRTHotshot yeah i'd love to change mine over to disc, do you add that or order one with them ?
Good to see you still going strong, I met you long time ago at Road Ranger , thanks for telling me about open roads.
Salute to your Success Chief...
Wow. That’s badass. What you doing these days. I love it when I talk with ppl I ran in to.
How do you take care of the 4 states( nm,ore,Utah,ky) that requires a different permit?
You can pay their yearly fees. Or you can stop at the weigh station and pay. If you don’t run through there a lot then it doesn’t make sense.
Great video
Thanks bud
Hey, I saw your first trailer you had 10k axle’s being CDL were you still able to make good $$ with those before getting the 12k’s? is it a really big carrying difference? My truck is a 2017 ram 3500 Laramie. Thinking about doing som local Texas runs to get started until my authority clears.
You will be fine with 10k axles. I ran my first two set ups with 10k. 12k gives you a little more weight to carry right over the axles. No matter what just get a CDL a setup. That is where the money is.
Sounds like your going to have a good truck. 17 Ram is a good truck!
@@TRTHotshot ok cool thanks bro look forward to bumping into you out there my authority goes active tomorrow. Had a unfortunate event take me out of a semi but it was a blessing in disguise cus it opened the door for me to start this business 🤘🏾🤘🏾.
Well congrats brother. You have your own authority. Scale it. Get into another semi. I’m leasing a couple guys on next month. Everything I make I’m putting towards a semi. I want to find one for about 20-30k. Slowly scale it.
Nice video, I’ll give it a subscribe 👍
Appreciate it bud!
How MANY sets of scales did you Skip on your way to kentucky ?
Lol I don’t have to skip scales. I do everything by the book. Well as best as I can. Lol
@@TRTHotshot Thank you !
