Lynzi, The Push could have been as big as the Beatles were in their time, every bit as talented all around. Ren is a multi instrumentaist, extreme lyricist, great producer and director. You have so much more to see in this group.
@@leewoodard5871 Have a right to my opinion and I stand by it. The Beatles were not that talented until they met the likes of George Martin. Most of their starter songs were seconds. I want to hold your hand? Not a brilliant piece of work.
Romain's usually on lead (electric) guitar but sometimes plays acoustic guitar or bass. He can play ukulele and mandolin too. Gorran is fairly equally split between bass and acoustic guitar and Ren plays, well... everything! lol. :) Ren also did all the audio engineering and production for the band and often directed and edited their videos too! :)
I think at first Ren was doing bass because no one else knew how. But later on, Gorran also would play bass. Ren has said he loved playing bass for them. Ren is singing Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix, but Romain is playing the guitar part for Hendrix. .Champagne and Reefer by Muddy Waters. Yep. I'm old.
Niiiice, I haven’t seen anyone do this one yet, and I really love it. They have all played bass, I’ve seen Ren say he enjoyed playing bass with them though 🙂. They have amazing voices, Romain’s is beautiful and can be haunting, Gorran has a tone that makes it really suited to older music, and Ren has crazy range and a sound that’s so unique, it lights up my brain 💥. Enjoyed your reaction
The big push Loves mashups. This happens to be a mashup between Buddy Guy Jimi Hendrix and Muddy Waters. They do such awesome Work together they are so tight with each other they know each other's next movesmoves. I dig it thanks for your reaction.
Check out their LiveNation show from April 2020 (during lockdown). It's Ren, Romain, and Gorran (no Glenn), hanging out on Gorran's bed in their flat. They chat a bit, joke around, and play Bongo Bong (cover), Radio (original), Slow Down (original), Come Together (cover), and All My Heroes (original). It's about 25 minutes. ruclips.net/video/gCK15U2QVJY/видео.html
They all play multiple instruments except for their drummer. They all take turns as lead vocals between songs as well. One of the most versatile bands on the planet. I hope they get back together one day, even for only a handful of shows (all depending on Ren’s health).
Been loving your channel. I forget, have you ever covered larkin poe, or rising appalachia? Or robert Randolph and the family band? If blues/indie is your bag, you'd dig them

Not from a single song. Like a lot of The Push's stuff it's a mash up. "What Kind of Woman is This" by Buddy Guy, "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" by Jimi Hendrix and "Champagne and Reefer" by Muddy Waters.
With you saying you're on your way to a gig, it got me thinking. You've mentioned in your last couple of reactions that you're half British and having watched a few of your live performance videos, it got me wondering if you would ever come over to UK and do some gigs. I'd definitely come to see you perform. I'll keep my fingers crossed 🤞 😉

Ren, Gorran and Glen all play bass. Gorran also plays harmonica. Ren and Romain also play piano. Ren can play a bit of drums. They switch around a fair bit. This is a mashup of songs by Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters and Jimi Hendrix. Sounds like one song, right?!

Romaine is a brilliant lead guitar. While Ren is a good guitarist, he can sing and do other instruments so Romaine normally does the lead guitar and ren fills in other instruments. Gorran also plays bass so you see him sometimes on bass, typically when Ren is having a strong Rythmic presence on guitar. Any strong bass seems to be played by Ren.

Buddy Guy - What kind of woman is this
