I love how Miyamoto is so happy. He's so inspiring to me and I look up to him. I wish more people in the world would be happy like him. It will be a sad day for Nintendo when he leaves. :(

Pikmin 2 multiplayer was severely underrated. It was so fun, the only problem was that the yellow marble win condition allowed you to win without even interacting with your opponent. Me and my friend always ignored them and went for each others' marble. Nothing like getting a stack of cherries for 5 roulettes in a row.

King Kong is a synonymous in Japan with large apes. The Donkey comes from the actual animal. It´s a way to call someone stubborn (we use the same here and Brazil: "That guy is stubborn like a donkey or mule").

Miyamoto invented Donkey Kong (this was actually a translation error, they thought it was Monkey Kong - like King Kong and used the 'D' making it Donkey by mistake) - Rare did Donkey Kong Country years later as a third party developer for the Super Nintendo.

Honestly, you say that we only play Nintendo games for the sake of nostalgia, if we wanted nostalgia, we'd play older console games like NES or SNES, or 64 for the kids born after '96, playing a Nintendo game is purely about fun, its pure fun plain and simple, there's no over abundance of frustration due to competition or fast hack and slash elements, now don't get me wrong, some of those games are my favorite, but Nintendo still knows how to make a truly fun relaxing game that's all.

I agree that, one that truly loves games shall play everything. However, games aren't just about fun. By saying that you're limiting games to toys. Games are about emotions and experiences. Sometimes they're fun, but not necessarily.
well pikmin is nearly complete and there is a new mario games coming in december, as well as a new zelda (if your refering to wii u version thats in development too).
Not to mention how the graphics aren't even that bad in the first place. Look at 0:11 through 0:15! That's pretty good. Looks like the Nintendo haters can't rest until they've complained about every single thing.

there are games with virtually no gameplay whatsoever, it's just cinematics with choices along the way. I have no clue why anyone would "play" that.
