    Damn you got it figured out! I’ve studied this to get to mgm gold. Basically I need that bilt rewards offer to come back. Would almost be worth it to do a bed run to get to 10 nights. I was gonna go the Wyndham earners business card but I believe they squashed the mgm status match. Although I hear certain properties are still honoring it.

    • @EthanPatrick_CreditCards
      @EthanPatrick_CreditCards  Год назад +1

      Yeah, MGM has killed most of the status match benefit between them and Caesars. And I wouldn’t count on another Bilt promotion for a while honestly.
      You could try earning status with Hyatt! With the Hyatt card you’ll get Discoverist which matches to MGM pearl. The card give you 5 tier nights toward status and 2 more for every $5k you spend on the card. The bonus is 30,000 Hyatt points after $3k in spend, or probably around 40,000 points if you spend $5k. With that you would have a could of free nights with Hyatt plus 7 tier nights. That’s probably only get you halfway to explorist, which matches for MGM.
      With the chase sapphire preferred bonuses and maybe one or two chase freedom card bonuses you could get enough chase points to transfer to Hyatt for some more free nights. That might get you the rest of the way to explorist for mgm Gold!
      I know that’s a long play but if you want mgm gold that’s definitely a potential strategy haha. With a lot of free travel involved!

    great video ethan! i recently got the Wyndham business card and will be going to Vegas this weekend to see what perks i can still with Caesars Diamond and trying to match at Hard Rock. i will probably also get MGM Pearl but that doesn't seem to be that useful.

      Nice! My dinner at the Hard Rock/The Mirage was really good, and I’d recommend either the steakhouse or the Japanese restaurant there at the property. I was able try some Wagyu beef for the first time with that!
      The Caesar’s Diamond was a bit tougher to use right away but you should definitely get it while you’re there. You can match to the cruise lines right away with that as well!
      At least MGM Pearl get you free parking if you’re able to get it. And between that and Caesars you’ll basically be able to park anywhere on the strip for free which is really nice!

      i was able to use my celebration dinner credit with no issue. i loved not having to pay any resort fees for the whole trip. i also booked one night at Caesars with my Chase Sapphire Reserve through the Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection which gave me a $160 food credit. i was able to get the resort fees waived when i checked out at the desk so i got huge value from my stay at Caesars.
      i was only able to get Unity Legend when I tried to status match at The Mirage, which included a $50 food credit.
      i can't wait to plan our next vacation either at Atlantis or with one of the "free" cruise offers!

      There’s so much I could say! Here was my rough itinerary:
      Bath - Gainsborough Bath Spa (Hyatt). Possibly my favorite property in the whole trip because of the included spa. We explored Bath and many surrounding areas. Would highly recommend visiting towns like Wells and Glastonbury, and a trip to the Cotswalds.
      Manchester - Hyatt House Manchester stayed here mostly to explore the castles of northern Wales. Rented a car here, used trains and buses for the rest of the trip.
      Dublin - Hyatt Centric Liberties. Flew in on Ryanair. Great location at the heart of Dublin. We took of bus tour to the cliffs of Moher. Highly recommend!
      Edinburgh- also flew Ryanair. Stayed at the Rosette House. It was cute, but not as fantastic as the other Hyatt properties. We visited Edinburgh castle and the royal mile.
      York - I needed an Airbnb for this because there were no Hyatt properties. Explored the castle walls, the shambles and the beautiful York Minster.
      London - Hyatt Regency Churchill. Great property, not the most convenient location but not far from the tube. Explored the city, there’s plenty to do!

      Haha well said. I'm interested to see how things turn out with MGM and Marriott... for now my recommendation for cruise offers is to go with the Wyndham Earner Business Card and status match through Caesars. And cheap Hyatt nights just aren't feasible with MGM. Gotta love the ever-changing game.

    • @Love2Cruise
      @Love2Cruise Год назад

      @@EthanPatrick_CreditCards Haha Fair enough. Don't hear many talk about the Wyndham Earner Business Card. As someone who likes to cruise (2 to 3 times a year), this seems to be a no brainer card to hold. Even better than AMEX Plat and its CPP OBC offerings.

    • @EthanPatrick_CreditCards
      @EthanPatrick_CreditCards  Год назад

      Yeah it definitely doesn’t get the attention it deserves. But I think you’re right that if you like to cruise then this card makes complete sense to get at least for a few cruise offers.
      One last tip I have for you that I didn’t mention in the video is to look into the founders card. It’s like a $400 business owner membership, but I’ve heard it also gets you to Caesar’s Diamond as well. I don’t have it but it’s an option if the Wyndham card doesn’t work out.

    • @EthanPatrick_CreditCards
      @EthanPatrick_CreditCards  Год назад +1

      From MGM Gold to Caesars Diamond is actually still good! That’s how I got Caesar’s Diamond, and I helped 2 other friends do it just last month.
      However Caesars Diamond to MGM Gold is dead. I think a lot of blogs have not made that distinction very clear though. So yes, I was able to match my MGM Gold to get Caesars Diamond.
      Keep in mind the Caesar’s status is a sort of 1-time, trial status that expires at the end of the year, and in order to get the big benefits like the $100 dinner, Atlantis stays, etc. They said you need to earn 100 tier credits.
      But if all you want to do is match to the cruise lines then this will be good enough. You won’t need the 100 tier credits.
      Hope that helps!

      Hey Ryan, no worries, I'm happy to help break it down! You can actually match your Hyatt status to MGM online: world.hyatt.com/content/gp/en/rewards/other-partnerships.html
      You'll have Discoverist Status if you own the WOH card, but you'll need to get to Explorist if you want to get the majority of benefits i mentioned in this video. However you can still match your discoverist to MGM Pearl status, which will get you free self-parking at any MGM property in Vegas.
      Once you've matched your status from Hyatt to MGM online, you can walk in to any MGM casino property, and go to the 'rewards desk' or 'players club desk' and they will give you a physical membership card.
