@Daniel Heidenreich Humans are no more. All replicants died of black scrawl in Nier Gesthal/Replicant except for Yuna being the only one which was reunited. Even though she died of illness later prior to Nier Automata.
I actually cried. When you see “data has been lost” you know someone else sacrificed themselves to help you. Dozens to hundreds of hours sacrificed to help you, a total stranger. To help you never admit that life is pointless. The single singer becoming a chorus as we become united.... Simply beautiful.
@@h.2077a Your save data is used to help someone else in that segment of the credits fight. Your data could be the ship that takes the blow that saves another player from dying. It's beautiful.
This ending was self healing. I’ve always been a person who would deny help whenever being offered. Sometimes, people reacted poorly when I rejected help. While playing, I had that same mentality and just kept going on my own until I gave up. This game made me realize that it’s okay to reach out for help. Thank you whoever you are that sacrificed their save data.

It's a beautiful gesture that you can give up all your progress to help a complete stranger at an ordeal you'll never witness. I did it gladly. Amazing game.
If there's any hope left for this messed-up world and the sad species that claims dominance over it, that hope will come from people choosing to be good to one another... not for profit, not for gain, and not to be thanked or applauded. Just to know that we did something for someone. Powerful feeling, that. One could of course get overly philosophical and ask whether it's truly selfless if it makes you feel good about yourself, but... well, so what if it's not truly selfless? It's still a kind act and might just help or comfort someone else, right when they really need it. Being allowed to feel good about making a choice like that seems like a pretty reasonable (and very cheap) reward for choosing to be a human being.^^
Just got this ending.. Not gonna lie when the other players data came in to help and the choir starts kickin', the goosebumps and tears cannot be holded.
To think that toyotaro would think that after such adventure we would not give up all our efforts to help a stranger after many came to our aid, Mankind, is not so bad after all, i became a helper, if one day you see "LMV'S data was lost" dont worry pal, i chose to be your guardian

There was a BUNCH of data put in there, pre-release, for characters from the series and from the developers. the best thing is that you don’t have to sacrifice yourself. maybe you’re not ready and maybe you’ll never be ready. look at all the other people around willing to help you - just keep going on your journey and keep your save file until it’s your time to go
Late to the party. When I had previous players help me I was crying and it was all I could do to keep my stuff together. I sacrificed my save immediately and I hope I helped someone, you have my help and my love. This game warns you, the people you help you might dislike. It also taught us we are all family 💗
man I cried so much during this whole sequence, it was very touching and felt like I was being part of something else much bigger, many others were by my side fighting for a common goal: hope.
I agree! Thanks for helping me in the credits. Thought it would never end because I kept losing but you and others helped me see a brighter future. Which truly I believe was the point of the game. That peace and love exist but you have to fight for it.
Maybe that sacrifice was for show, a way to prove that you won't be ungrateful for those who you already lost, even though their names are fading from memory by the second. Maybe doing so would just perpetuate some lie or give another person false hope. Maybe the one I help won't even know I was there, nor will they notice or care if I get discarded like dust in the wind. After playing NieR: Automata for such a long time, and having my own journey, I came to my own answer to these thoughts: I don't care. I'll help, even if it is meaningless in the end. I won't be helping others by pursuing a truth I already know, but at least by making my sacrifice I'm willing to try and get others to reach that knowledge as well.
Not going to lie, I cried when my helpers came for the first time, and when I replyed the game and saw that there were still people out there helping others, I cried again.
I loved this ending, how masterfully crafted it was. But there is one thing that bothers me. Eventually, someday, someone will be the last player to receive help. After him there will be no one, all will be gone and then the next one will be alone, fighting for himself just as A2, 2B or 9S in an empty land since all of the saved data will be erased as the rest protected those who came before. Unless of course the company has some backup and people can still get help. I know it is a sad thought, but it came to mind and I can't shake it off.
I feel so bad because back when I played this game, I wanted to keep chapter select to go back and play my favorite parts of this game so now I came to this video to see what it was like to delete your save data and the different dialogue you would get so I'm about to go and be a helper :))
Omg. I came to watch this after finishing the game (I had already helped, wanted to see what could happen in my second playthorugh), and even years later I believe you were one of my helpers! After I realized I found your name and message familiar I had to leave a comment. So thank you! :)
Dang, I just saw my name here on the video the very first time and I am glad that I could someone :) this game is of the best games in history imo and nothing comes close to it! And the fanct that the game isrepeatedly asking to be sure if you wanna help is one of the best moments for me.
Wow this is beautiful, I stopped watching at the 12:20min mark. I have yet to see ending E and don’t want to be spoiled. Once I found out you could lose your save data I got worried, I decided to take a break and finish it up tomorrow 🥺 and once I see the ending, I’ll definitely help someone after.
so at 16:10 can the birds be thought of as one, two, three, four and five, while the one going to A2 is zero? seeing as they, from the beginning, stem from the same root? knowing yoko taro i wouldnt be surprised
The first time I got here I choose A2 to fight, so this is surprising. There's so much I lack doing in the game like all the fishes, all weapons, all archives and more (which I don't want to say here). But don't worry, I'm planning on deleting all my data after I finish it properly. Just like a character from One Day At a Time would say: "Not yet, mi vida".
I just finished doing my part for the effort. Felt a bit silly as I accidentally skipped the final cut scene I'm here to catch up with but... just felt appropriate.
He'll never see this, but I want to thank Shuang for coming to my rescue, and for being the first to die. Eight others also died for me and I missed most of their names. But I blame the Square Enix credits for suddenly turning the difficulty dial straight past 11 and straight to "Touhou."
in my first time playing i sacrificed all my data to become a helper, and god i felt so good for doing that, knowing that i'd be helpful to someone is amazing then i played again and did 100% in everything: quests, weapons, unit data, fishes, endings, etc i dare to say that now i have really beat 100% of this game i'll miss this game so much
I just completed the first ending a and deleted the game because I wasn't having enough time to play all the endings till e.. so do u guys think what I did was okay? Well I just wanted to play ending e but to play that u have to play all the endings a b c d but there's no point in playing those because it's just the same gameplay from different perspectives of the other characters like when i finished playing ending a I was really hyped to play the ending e because of its dark story.. but in order to play that I had to complete ending b in which there is the same gameplay as ending a but in ending b u r playing as 9s so it was no fun.. and I deleted the game.. but still deep down.. I wanna play the ending e.. but I don't have much time so can anyone please explain what actually happens in ending e
I only played 63.1hrs of this game and got to [E]nd with the unknown players helping me finish when I was pushing beyond my limits of hell. Balling with tears man I never cried this much before. I gave up my progress to help another without hesitation. Even if I haven't 100% the game. . . Oh well. I do still regret not picking this game up 6 years ago too. This isn't the end for me yet as I will be starting a new run again and probably another or even a 3rd one. Striking for 100%! If you're doing that in today 2023 I wish you luck! o7
Hey um I do not understand. at 16:41 in the video it will ask to delete save data. but in my case it ask me to save data then bring to title screen. WHY? in my loading save menu I saw I got A B C D E H ending. but it didn't ask for deleting my save data. why? edited: the game is too hard I decided to cheat. me single handed lone woft getting to the end without dying which not result in save data deletion. by the way, I played this game a long time ago and got ending A and after thinking that ending B is the same except you play as 9S perspective of view. I decided to quit. after many years and today in 2023 I have no other anime game to play. pretty much running out of anime game. I decided to continue where I left off in nier automata.
OH FOR FUCKS SAKE. HOW COULD I NOT SEE THIS. The part where the six spinny other players get taken out by the hacker bullets. THIS IS YOUR FRIENDLY UNITS DYING IN THE OPENING TUTORIAL. THAT'S WHY THEY JUST STAND THERE AND TANK THE LASERS AND DIE. THEY'RE DOING THIS FOR YOU SO YOU HAVE TIME TO REBOOT. THIS IS HOW YOU REMEMBER IT.
Someone helped me to finish the ending credit, so I did my part too to help others. I feel regret yet I am happy to be part of the community. This game is so sick! I love Nier Automata ❤
the funny thing I only died a couple of times not to quest or enemies but my curiosity seeing what I could do where I could jump to. and the destroy chip. at the end my message is it was a hard time but you you are not alone
Señor Cat Be thankful to your helpers. These helpers represent real people who struggled through the game, just like you(if you actually played the game). At the end they gave up ALL their save datas to support you at the ending "[E]nd of YorHa"Credits.I also deleted everything, call me idiot or something, but the game thaught me very important things you have to experience on your own...
When I got to the choice, I didn't want to delete my data. I was on PC, so I alt-tabbed and backed up my save before choosing to help. But... when I went to play again, I found I didn't have the stomach for it. I put the game down for a couple of years. Eventually, I picked it back up again, and I looked at my save data. Remembered what I did. I deleted the save without ever playing it, and started again from the beginning.
Idk why the concept that others are willing to help you to get rid of their data made me emotional and then you have to make the decision to help them. When the game kept saying “Joe” deleted their data while playing the game. I started tearing up. Damn this game hands down one of the best games ever

man I cried so much during this whole sequence, it was very touching and felt like I was being part of something else much bigger, many others were by my side fighting for a common goal: hope.
I agree! Thanks for helping me in the credits. Thought it would never end because I kept losing but you and others helped me see a brighter future. Which truly I believe was the point of the game. That peace and love exist but you have to fight for it.
the best game that i play in my pitiful life
Maybe that sacrifice was for show, a way to prove that you won't be ungrateful for those who you already lost, even though their names are fading from memory by the second. Maybe doing so would just perpetuate some lie or give another person false hope. Maybe the one I help won't even know I was there, nor will they notice or care if I get discarded like dust in the wind. After playing NieR: Automata for such a long time, and having my own journey, I came to my own answer to these thoughts:
I don't care.
Glory to mankind
I loved this ending, how masterfully crafted it was. But there is one thing that bothers me.
Eventually, someday, someone will be the last player to receive help. After him there will be no one, all will be gone and then the next one will be alone, fighting for himself just as A2, 2B or 9S in an empty land since all of the saved data will be erased as the rest protected those who came before. Unless of course the company has some backup and people can still get help.
I know it is a sad thought, but it came to mind and I can't shake it off.
I guess there are a minimum of data from the developers themselves that doesnt really erase itself. Its the only logical explanation.
I feel so bad because back when I played this game, I wanted to keep chapter select to go back and play my favorite parts of this game so now I came to this video to see what it was like to delete your save data and the different dialogue you would get so I'm about to go and be a helper :))
you can still play the game from the start
This game ending and the player's choice at the end tells much from the core nature of one person than any personality test ever could.
It physically hurt to see that save data go ;-; And also, the Japanese audio is soooo cool! I love how the pods sound.
The Concept of this fight breaks my heart. I LITTERYALLY LAUGHED FOR 3 OR 4 MINUTES, PURELY OUT OF HAPPINESS.
it has been 3 years... I am still not over this game, I will never recover from the experience of it...
I thought Pod would only delete one save file
I was like „Ha! Jokes on you, I have another safe file!“ and then he deleted everything QwQ
And the fanct that the game isrepeatedly asking to be sure if you wanna help is one of the best moments for me.
that time when the pod said all black box is offline i cried
After we accept help where The solo chorus changed to a group singing was so beautiful.
Me giving up on my save data without backup, just to help some random dude :'(. Yup I'm doing my part
I did the same and now I realized i fucked up
Well that’s life. To give up everything for a complete stranger.
What an iconic way to end an already iconic game
I just finished doing my part for the effort. Felt a bit silly as I accidentally skipped the final cut scene I'm here to catch up with but... just felt appropriate.
He'll never see this, but I want to thank Shuang for coming to my rescue, and for being the first to die. Eight others also died for me and I missed most of their names. But I blame the Square Enix credits for suddenly turning the difficulty dial straight past 11 and straight to "Touhou."
How I can get help? I have one "tyriangle" , but in the video there are 4-5 "triankles"!!!!
How to prompt the delete the save files part? It just brings me back to the title screen. wtf
We're all in this together, I'm here with you, we can do it.
in my first time playing i sacrificed all my data to become a helper, and god i felt so good for doing that, knowing that i'd be helpful to someone is amazing
then i played again and did 100% in everything: quests, weapons, unit data, fishes, endings, etc
i dare to say that now i have really beat 100% of this game
i'll miss this game so much
KAT
I've just started playing nier recently and hell yeah glad i came here 😂
this is meta at its highest form.
The lowest form is that 4th wall breaking Deadpool shit
Estou fazendo esse final mas essa ajuda nunca aparece oque eu faço?
If you're doing that in today 2023 I wish you luck! o7
I never felt so happy to have all my save data deleted!
i was playing with xbox game pass and game didnt connect the internet damn i couldnt get this ending
best ending credit scene of all games
Thank you all for helping me in the credits! I realized i was not good enough and then you all helped push me through! 😊
I wonder what it like to be the first player to try this ending due to the fact no one yet tried to delete their data.
God tier ending. So emotional. So deep.
Tetsuya Nomura: I want a piece out of that cake
I’m at this part but no one to help on Xbox so I can’t get past the square nex half😢
3yrs. 10months.
And all I did was spend an entire day AFTER, spawning help.
never forget what one mind can do for all of us.
who disliked this video dammit.
10 years old kids who lost their data
@@tuanz8009 lol I'm 12 and I wouldn't care if I were to loose my data cause it's fun to help others!
@@jd_minga177 I'm like, 11, so I lack the cognitive ability to even get ending [W]
BRO THIS GOT ME. CRYING
Pod 153 = Pod Ichi-Go-San
Pod Ms Strawberry?
OH FOR FUCKS SAKE. HOW COULD I NOT SEE THIS.
The part where the six spinny other players get taken out by the hacker bullets.
THIS IS YOUR FRIENDLY UNITS DYING IN THE OPENING TUTORIAL. THAT'S WHY THEY JUST STAND THERE AND TANK THE LASERS AND DIE. THEY'RE DOING THIS FOR YOU SO YOU HAVE TIME TO REBOOT. THIS IS HOW YOU REMEMBER IT.
Shiiiiiiiit
Did you lost your data?
Yesterday i finished ending C and D and finally ending E this game is a masterpiece thanks you square enix for this game ❤
Did this game teach me to face my eventual death with dignity and grace !!!
i fucking love video games XD
You data get deleted for real ? So u have to lv up again and so on ???
Anyone else sad that Pascal lost her memories? No, Just me? Okay...
Btw it’s him not her, and yea it was sad but it was the best option for him instead of suffering
I cried while playing this
why is the end credits scroll way UP!? is this game so mind bending than black mirror?
Someone helped me to finish the ending credit, so I did my part too to help others. I feel regret yet I am happy to be part of the community. This game is so sick! I love Nier Automata ❤
It was painful to sacrifice my save file but it was worth it in the end
We shall remember the heros that sacrificed their hours and hours of data
the funny thing I only died a couple of times not to quest or enemies but my curiosity seeing what I could do where I could jump to. and the destroy chip. at the end
my message is it was a hard time but you you are not alone
stupid trophy ..... any one help me please I can't get help 😢
this ending reminds me of the end credits of undertale true pacifist run
Wait how did u get those multiple ones?
Do u wait for a while or die a lot?
I think you get them from dying.
Cause I died so many times where I became triggered
Señor Cat Be thankful to your helpers. These helpers represent real people who struggled through the game, just like you(if you actually played the game). At the end they gave up ALL their save datas to support you at the ending "[E]nd of YorHa"Credits.I also deleted everything, call me idiot or something, but the game thaught me very important things you have to experience on your own...
you're offline, if you're online you can accept help from people.
How does this deleting saves feature work, exactly?
What if i don't get killed or hit? People is gonna keep their data?
They just ask you if want to delete your save, you can always say no
When I got to the choice, I didn't want to delete my data.
What now se cosígue lo del min 12:06¿ please...
"being alive is pretty much a constant stream of embarrassment." Yoko Taro will bn seen as one of the intellectual greats 100+ years from now.
Some psycho named themselved 2b and when i read "2b data has been lost" i thought i was gonna get a bad ending lol
I didn’t do it to be honest but once I get everything thing I wanted done I’ll go back and gladly do it :3
Idk why the concept that others are willing to help you to get rid of their data made me emotional and then you have to make the decision to help them. When the game kept saying “Joe” deleted their data while playing the game. I started tearing up. Damn this game hands down one of the best games ever
i lose all my saves :( omg i cant believe :( the money i had side quests the endings :( but im playing now again
