We also put together a small FAQ for any questions you may (or may not) have. We'd like to be as transparent as possible to avoid any potential confusion, so if you have any questions that haven't been asked here, feel free to do so in the comments! Wait, didn't you crowdfund for Lumi before? Why are you doing it again? We underestimated how expensive it would be to produce an animated pilot. Typically, an 11 minute episode can cost from upwards of $100,000, and with our first goal being well below that range ($25,000), the scope of the project ended up being much larger than the crew and I had expected. With the $25,000 we raised, we managed to finish the pilot's storyboards, animatic, and voice acting by allocating those funds into preproduction. There's still a few more parts of preproduction we need to finish, such as audio engineering, placement, and animatic trimming, but we're hoping that with this crowdfund, we'd be able to continue where we left off from the first one and jump into finishing the pilot. While finishing the pilot is the main priority, we also want to make sure the team is paid fairly and well, two things I overlooked when setting the original $25,000 goal. While $80k may be a huge jump from the initial goal, it's something we're determined to finish! Why did you switch to BackerKit? Why not make another Kickstarter? We switched to BackerKit to avoid confusion between two projects on the same platform. While it's common to crowdfund a project more than once on Kickstarter, we felt it best to avoid any conflict between both this and the second one for new and old backers alike, and figured this would be the best option. We have no intention to alienate or shut out our previous backers, nor do we intend to forget who helped us get to this point! Even though we've switched platforms, this does not mean updates on Kickstarter will stop, nor will messages or surveys stop being sent. We fully plan to continue updates on Kickstarter every month and will continue to do so simultaneously throughout the BackerKit's launch. If we backed the previous Kickstarter, does this mean we need to pledge again to receive our rewards? Can we pledge to add onto previous rewards? If you pledged to the previous Kickstarter, your rewards will be the same as they were for the first one and you do not need to pledge again. However, if you'd like to make another pledge, your rewards from the first crowdfund will be bundled together into one simultaneous reward from both the BackerKit and Kickstarter. (ex. if you put a pledge into the artbook for the first Kickstarter, and put a pledge in for a plush in the BackerKit, you will receive both!) If we previously backed the first Kickstarter, does this mean we won't get our rewards? You absolutely will still get your rewards! We've recently teamed up with Gene Goldstein of Jellybox to help us fulfill rewards for both the current and previous crowdfund. He will be managing reward fulfillments and shipping while I'll be working as an overseer for both physical and digital rewards. We apologize for how long it's taken to manage those as before, I was doing this completely on my own. I'm very grateful to be lent a helping hand throughout all this- it's taken a weight off my shoulders, that's for sure! When should I expect the rewards for the first Kickstarter/BackerKit to be delivered if it's successful? As of the time of writing this, we are hoping to get listed rewards out by late 2024 or early 2025, though dates and timeframes are subject to change. Manufacturer and shipping delays can happen, and as much as we'd love to find ways to prevent it, are unfortunately outside our control. We will be sure to keep backers updated of the situation if anything is subject to change. I don't want to use BackerKit. Are there other ways I can support Lumi? i just stumbled onto this video and im already pretty excited about your project! i hope it gets more attention, i wish you all good luck :) i’ll share this to my friends, i hope it helps at least a little bit
This show has so much beautiful potential, the characters seem interesting, the voice acting is done well, the art style is an eye blessing, the plot is perfect, and the animations are smooth! GREAT JOB SO FAR!!
I can’t wait to see what goodies you have in the Backerkit! This show looks so adorable and promising. I feel like this would be a major comfort show for me. I will be supporting you guys all the way!
Very much so! There’s a lot of work that goes into making cartoons, and Lumi is no exception to that. It’s been a very humbling learning experience and it’s something I’m grateful for to further expand my knowledge on.

Hello Even. I have a question. Is it really a lot of hard work to create this cartoon?
Very much so! There’s a lot of work that goes into making cartoons, and Lumi is no exception to that. It’s been a very humbling learning experience and it’s something I’m grateful for to further expand my knowledge on.
@@starteas Thank you.
Lumi is what WISH should have been.
