If you Change the guys player types you can get better pluses on each line, what works best is a sniper, playmaker, power forward combo and I assign it to them based on there attributes to get the most out of them. Also gets the guys higher point totals and more growth
U should try and mix up the types of players on each line, for example, don’t try and have 3 snipers on one line, mix it up so u have a good mix. Maybe that would work?

Fire ur coach and look for a coach with the best team fit %
You need to watch the chemistry, it’s getting key in the playoffs. And the players certainly get more points, it‘s not all about the rating.
For your next franchise mode you HAVE to assign echl players to the ahl. Players like ukko-pekka luukkonen and Mac hollowell aren’t in franchise unless you do that and they can be a major part of that team
The lack of sim luck is insane. That team should be making deep runs each year. Could the mediocre 3rd D line be the reason?\

I've never had a right handed goalie sim well for me, I just refuse to draft them at this point. Idk maybe it's just a anecdotal thing.
You gotta shuffle the lines when the team is on a skid. Don’t be afraid to change goalies either

I think you should look at extending your players before their contracts expire? I've found in NHL 20 that they are much more lenient with their years being increased and the dollar amounts being lowered. It helps get ahead of their ratings going up? Obviously you do this in a calculated manner.

Love my Wings, i hate how unrealistic this team looks though. I changed Pietrangelo, and Ovechkins contract to be longer so it prevents a easy gateway and seems like they wouldnt hit FA anytime soon.
RAISE THE ATTRIBUTE BAR IN THE SETTINGS TO 10. That is one of the reasons why no one in the league is getting 100+ pts, and that’s why your team is not getting past the 1st round.

Maybe try to get some elite coaches and an elite goalie. However, I understand it’s easier said than done.

You need to watch a few franchise modes by 2BCProductions. He knows how to build a line up based on the individual player types and stats so that the team sims well. It’s not all about having the highest overall players. If they don’t sim well together, it’s all for nothing.
Do whatever it takes to get Dahlin or McDavid. Maybe he will be the guy you need to bring it all together.
I would trade Larkin Wright and veleno are good enough 1,2 centres and you need the cap space

Trade Larkin and Raymond. Raymond doesn’t shoot enough and had poor stats for his rating. Draisaitl and Wright are good enough centers that you don’t need Larkin and his salary. Go after some TWF and some forwards that have high shot counts even if they are lower rated than what you’re giving away you’re centers should carry the lines. Another high 80 or low 90 dman would help too I think your goalie is just getting pelted out there

So cheese, why don’t you do a authentic GM mode. Zero chance you could build that team. You should do Fog of war also and only have player roles and player types visible
Time to move on from Askarov. He does not play like an 89. He plays like an 84. Almost everything else is fine. Maybe put Brannstrom on the power play

After watching almost all of the wings series franchise mode. It is confirmed NHL 20 franchise mode is an absolute waste of time. It's not "unlucky" dude. It's literally just franchise mode is a waste of time.
I hate your franchise modes only because these are not realistic in any ways. Don't cheese the system and u can actually have some viewers

The reason you never win is because you stack your team too much. There is no reason for Veleno and Mantha should play third line. The third line should consist of 83 and 84 overall players.
This comment doesn't work. Just tested, no salary cap 4 years and won the stanley cup and Presidents trophy last 3 years. 3rd line consisted of 90 overalls
