DOVII UNLEASHED! 240 GALLON UPDATE!
In this video I’m removing the divider in the 240 Gallon Aquarium. Our Dovii has been separated for some weeks now, so we really aren’t sure what to expect. We’re also added to the aquascape to give the aquarium a fresh look. This video will demonstrate the challenges and successes that comes along with keeping large aggressive fish. There has been a recipe I follow when it comes to keeping Dovii in a community tank and in this video I’m exposing that. If you have any questions please drop them down in the comment section. Big Ben! What’s up brother! You’re right in regard to normally seeing Dovii in Solitary setups but it’s really a myth to it. These fish have been kept in community setups for decades. It just depends on the objective, is the keeper trying to keep a pair, trying to breed, or don’t want to put in the effort to properly make this work. It’s work but it’s worth it. I love the Dovii and have been keeping them for 10yrs and always in a community tank. This guy has been with his tank mates for 3yrs. If for any reason I feel he’s getting too aggressive and all over fish are at risk, he’ll get his own tank but I believe patience and understanding is the key.

What’s up Bro. Yea the video is old but the Female Festae is still about. She’s been spawning with my big male Dovii that has since chilled out. They’re in my 800 gallon pond currently. I have hundreds of fry from those two.

Lol Brigg Johnson….. how many of my videos have you watched….? Because the real supporters has watched how I manage to keep the fish together without losing a fish to aggression…. The Dovii has been in my community tank for 3yrs……3yrs! Of course there’s things that has to been done to keep aggressive fish. I’ve put out plenty of videos talking about this. The Dovii, the Buttikoferi, the Atabapo pike all had to be divided for some time. But just like the Dovii they acted right and everyone is still living together peacefully. Your comment said “This is funny” you know what I think is funny, how a man tanks the time to be so misinformed and ignorant to leave a hate comment with lies on a creators video…. A lot of estrogen being displayed hear. 🤣
@@TheFishCorner your reply is comical...the only estrogen use is evident of your crying right now like a 12 year old chick ...the point was you attempted to explain there being any aggression in the tank despite the number of predator fish species you had....you even went as far as to say the Dovii was kept in its place by your other fish ...at which point I said the Dovii will eventually try to kill everything in your tank...you then expressed your reasoning of line of sight decour and equally aggressive fish...fast forward to the present your dividing the tank and saying possibly getting a larger tank ...cool...this still has to be done to offset the aggression in your tank..but like you say you have to try ..and again good luck with that ...no hate bro just logical thinking and experience with Dovii and predator fish ...I actually enjoy your videos BUT just realize this your experimentation can result in one of your fish being killed ...🤫
I have 2 dovil and 2 red devils,2 black stripe pike chilids in an 125 gallon aquariums.They all get along, the one big red devil is the boss, the dovils hold there own

Thank you. This is an old video so I don’t remember. But I had two red ear sliders. Two Florida soft shell turtles. One African side neck and one Mississippi map turtle.

What ph level do run in that tank? i keep mine at 7.0. i used to have a male jag for years, introduced a female had to separate in tank . Male jag eventually passed, now the female jag is with a tricolor shark that is bigger than the jag. Nice combo they get along great. Btw the male jag was so aggressive i had trouble cleaning the gravel without being ambushed

I gotta question is there anyway to fix scratches on a tank. And can you fix with fish living in the tank.I bought a 85g it’s was homed to a lizard and scratched up my tank all four sides of the glass if anyone knows PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME OUT. I would love to look at my tank without scratches and I don’t how to take off the scratches in the best and Safeway way to do so.
What’s up bro. I don’t think there’s anything you can do about a scratched glass aquarium but an acrylic aquarium can be buffed out to remove scratches.

U have a big aquarium 240gal. but ur fish it could not swim nicely because u have big stone and wood. If I have an aquarium like that 240gal. I'm not gonna put anything so that my fish can swim widely and nicely and also u can clean easily. My aquarium is 180gal. no stone/wood at always coz I like my fish to see them swimming left to right.
Eventually you’re gonna have to take that Dovii out your tank I promise you
Whassup bro I had 3 males dovii and 1 female dovii and a flowerhorn male and a female flowerhorn and red devil male on 240 gallon tank it's was 8 ×2×2 but now I only have 1 male dovii and 1 female dovii the male dovii kill rest of fish now the female is always hiding in a cave she doesn't wants to get out cause of male dovii is around idk what to do cause it's seems that female dovii is not growing or eating alot like the male dovii any tips on what can I do

Lol. You listen to too many other people. I’ve been keeping Dovii in community tanks for 10yrs. My current male Dovii has been in a community tank for 3yrs. So when is he supposed to kill everything? And what am I going to be doing while he’s killing everything? Watching it happen? That’s dumb asf. As for the rock work and plants…. This my tank dog. This is what my vision. You don’t like it. Don’t watch it. My tank hella raw. 🎩 What you want to see all Dovii tanks look the same? Can’t stack smooth round rocks. And if you can’t provide adequate space or decor for your aggressive fish. Keeping aggressive fish probably won’t work. 🧠

No disrespect taken. One of the rules to keeping aggressive fish is providing plenty of hiding spaces and visual barriers. The fact that I have all the decor in the tank is the reason I’m able to successfully keep fish together that everyone says can’t be kept together. This is a big a$$ tank the decor doesn’t get it the way of the fish nor does it pose an issue. It’s exactly the opposite. The fish love it. So that’s what matters. Everyone’s tank doesn’t have to look the same, so you can appreciate the differences in art and imagination or not but this is my canvas so it’s going to reflect my vision. But again, no disrespect taken, stay blessed.
