I liked the first one (of these two), but I loved this one. Thanks for your review.I like your theories and ideas, and am mad about your voice. Which one do you prefer? You mentioned Radiohead paired greatly with this and that is how I felt with Godspeed You! Black Emperor way, way back in 28 Days Later.
Jimmy's doing the finger trick as above as below satanic symbolism for real you people think its fake got news for ya its not it real ther putting this symbolism in here for reason mocking us Christians an God almighty the baphomet aka Satan statue does this Jimmy's doing as above as below wake up repent be born in Jesus name because satans real so is Jesus are lord an savior you all will see soon
i think another important moment after Samson eats the berries is that he wipes his fingers on his loin cloth rather than just leaving it on his fingers like a wild animal
Yes he starts eating food and wear cloths is a sign he is becoming human for sure. As the infected only eat animals and humans. It’s possible not sure if it showed that Kelson made or gave him the cloth but it’s more significant him remembering the past and the berries to eat
@willd9298 It's shown that the cloth is left folded in the place Kelson and Samson got high so it's implied that Kelson left it there trusting that Samson would know what to do.
@sapperbloggins3859fact??? Really. I’m not aware of any human population, past or present, that ate only meat. The closest examples are groups whose traditional diets were animal-based because of ecology, season, or pastoral life, especially Inuit in the Arctic, and some pastoralist groups such as the Maasai, whose idealized traditional diet centered on milk and meat, but included the other food groups.
It was absolutely amazing!!!! Hearing him say “Moon” “I don’t have my ticket” & “Thank you” Blew me away. I could watch a whole movie just about Sampson. I want to know how he’s able to have rage sex. I think baby Elsa is his. I want to know how he’s was able to survive as a child and become the alpha. I would have given the movie a solid 10 if it was 20-30 minutes longer, more infected chase scenes and jump scares and I hated that the doctor died. I also liked jimmys performance I didn’t want it to end BUT it would have been satisfying to see Sampson rip his spine out and roar once he was nailed on the cross. It was a solid 9/10 7 months ago I was worried where the franchise was going but sitting through that had huge payoff
@lbabytutorials4852 Samson was a pre-teen when he was infected, When kids go through puberty they experience growth spurts. so rage infection acting like a steroid on a boy going through puberty turned him into a mountain.
I love biology so that whole arc was really interesting to me. Made me think that the virus sends your brain into “fight or flight” mainly the “fight” part, and as we saw Samson hallucinating a man in the woods as a threat, it proves the virus just makes you perceive everything that doesn’t move or act like you as a threat, and makes you want to attack the threat. The antipsychotics made Samson see the world without the fog the virus causes for the first time in years.
I hope Samson reads all of Kelson’s work and starts treating other infected with the same method he was treated with. I think it’s so interesting that the Infected treat Samson as if he’s uninfected after his treatment.
I agree I also think Samson might search for his daughter if he can recall things he did. Will the island people attack him or accept him. I see Jim as the one more likely to take up the doctor's work. Lot of good ideas where the story can go.
I was hoping that the immunity Kelson gave Sampson might be transmittable the same way the Rage Virus is. We do see him get bit several times on the train so I'm hoping it's the beginning of the spread of the cure the same way the virus spread.
Samson and Doc Kelson's friendship was my favorite part of the movie! I like how Samson realized Kelson made him feel better and knew to come back to him to feel better again.
In every review everyone keeps saying that Jim doesn't hesitate when his daughter asks 'Should we help them'? But he does and she has to ask again. It's as if he's weighing up his daughter's safety over being the good character that we know he is
My theory is that Selena passed away in the second wave of the infected and Hannah Might have died too, and so he hesitated because he doesnt want to lose his only daughter/his last 'gift' from Selena.
I would not call his reaction a hesitation. It could equally be him thinking "oh no here we go again" or in shock at infected being on his doorstep, or just taking in the moment. To me there is no hesitation or more importantly 0 reluctance in the way he answers, it's earnest and sincere.
@wolfrexo9966They died 100%, if they didn't the infection would have been eradicated in a couple of years. They mightve gotten nuked or killed by the goverment of france idk
This is a little dishonest I actually went back and watched it again and there is less than 3 seconds between her saying it twice. He doesn't hesitate, she doesn't give him time to look through the spyglass
I think the ending of the first movie plays into the perception message of this film. The jimmies jumping around like crazy doing ninja flips and dispatching all the zombies was Spike seeing them like they were power rangers, dressed in bright colorful outfits and coming to his rescue. I don't think they were actually flipping around like that. It was a stylistic choice to show us how Spike was seeing them, just like Jimmy was seeing Samson as a huge demon.
The director would fire you for saying zombie! they hate that its an infected person with a immense amount of rage hence the "rage virus" and attacking babies.
Sometimes these performances are forgotten because we dislike the characters, but Jack O'Connel also deserves an oscar nomination. The unhinged mindset bleeds through the screen
One unimportant fun fact you missed is that Kellie (the girl Jimmy that survived with Spike) was seen carving a "K" in a tree as they were waiting for Sir lord Jimmy to talk with the doctor, which was prbably her carving her name !! She was such an interesting character too; She didn't show remorse during killings, did try to push Spike to join them because he had to, and did believe the doctor was Satan, but at the same time she did see Spike as the kid he was and protected him, as well as that name carving scene andbnot trusting sir lord jimmy.. I wonder if she was like half-sane while partly believing the manipulation of the Jimmy's.. or if she was fully aware of the truth just couldnt do anything with it as she was forced to stay with them abd it was the safest option for her and this was just how she coped...
I think her carving the first letter of her name is her starting to shed her Jimmy skin, and her intention, to become Kelly again, almost an act of remembering who she is, or rebirth, to keep it in line with the theme of the life cycle of the moth, she turns from a Jimmy into a Kelly, Samson turns into a human (inside his train cocoon), etc.
I feel for Sampson, immediately after regaining his humanity he must face yet another zombie horror; opiate withdrawal. DaCosta was brilliant. Shame the Marvel system stifled such a brilliant director with The Marvels. I wish we could have seen a version of that movie actually through DaCosta's eyes.
I agree, I think with a few more efforts like this under her belt she will really solidify herself as an incredible director with a unique vision, BUT I don’t think there is ANY version of “The Marvels” I need to see… 🙃 Honestly her as a director was what initially had me unsure about this film, even though there were elements of both the “Candyman” remake and her take on “Hedda” I liked. I am now a huge fan after this. Excited to see what she does next.
@BradleyRegister I agree 110% with being a fan after all her incredible work. I will say that I wish she had more control over The Marvels because I believe there was a great story underneath the stripped down most basic, lifeless, cookie cutter plot. There is a compelling story of 3 female characters, all out of their normal environments, learning to get along and work with each other to defeat a strong enemy. The idea of a young character who is a superfan and obsessive teenager coming to grips with the fact that our idols and heroes might not be who we think and hope they are in the real world. The now grow woman who was the daughter of that same superstar hero whose mother was best friends with the hero, who was abandoned by her and had to deal with watching her mother die while being alone could also be super compelling. The main hero and all the baggage she brings from being an absolutely trash human being forced into the literal perspectives of 2 people she has harmed the most is incredibly compelling. That is such a cool idea that could lead to unique character growth for all 3. Instead, we got a plot contrivance that only swapped their physical location and somehow not their actual perception, the most compelling possibility in the film. What a squandered opportunity, director, and cast.
@jeremysmith4620 ok, I think you sold me, I can see the opportunity for some really great storytelling here. Considering your angle it truly is tragic we got the garbage story we got. 😐 I feel like unfortunately this is probably the case for a few other post-“Endgame” (Disney) Marvel movies… even though (and I guess I’m in the minority here) I thought there were PLENTY of missed opportunities in “Endgame” as well… 🤷 Daredevil (though not a movie) comes to mind. Boy, that was a great show before Disney got their hands on the character, but maybe I’m getting a little too far off track now. 🙃
Interesting angle mentioning opiate withdrawal too. I have been through that nightmare a few times, but I hadn’t put that together until you mentioned it… now I’m wondering how I didn’t connect the dots myself.
Was just coming here to say the same 🤣🤣🤣🤣, I had a like 3 second delayed reaction to it lolol, also haven't watched this movie yet, but been talking about it with a buddy who has seen it, and I still call Dr. Kelson or Ian by the name voldemort, good old Thomas riddle... the bastard
No one is talking about the Savil references and it’s what makes the movie so good for me. Like in the 90’s Savil had never been exposed and his whole shtick was his charity work. The irony of him being the “son of Satin” and dressing like a terrible person … so good
The first time I noticed how odd and potential bad saville was in around 2001 with Louis Theroux documentary. But he was only properly exposed i. 2012. I was 14 when I saw documentary so couldn't quite picture how bad he might be
Nobody talking about the savil references and deeper meaning behind why he was chosen because it's over their heads. People who was pushed to us as good were actually the opposite. Everyone helped him because they all were in on it . Hidden in plain sight straight devil worshipers.
@Frostwolf_103he was a child when he saw his dad get infected! He couldnt rationalise what happened and mistakenly thought he was satan leading the infected…. Just a really messed up kid
That NHS line cracked me up while also sat next to my mum who was in the NHS (catering assistant when I was little and then she used that expertise to serve food in the frontline to doctors and nurses during the pandemic) she hates hearing this but she truly is a badass, love ya mum❤
Saying the frontline when referring to covid like your mum was on hamburger hill or some shit is so absolutely ridiculous that i had to comment. Your moms not a badass she gives food to ppl. Shes a cafeteria lady, give me a break. As long as your mom wasnt morbidly obese or so old that she shouldnt have been working in the first place then she was at almost no risk from covid.
You missed who Kelson was taking to the bone temple at the beginning of the movie, it was Sampson's baby mama, he got her from the train. Also when Sampson ate that blackberry it showed him wiping his fingers on his sarong, which ultimately is another symbol of his transformation, cleaning his fingers.
Id really like to see Samson take over the bone temple. Maybe find the bunker and remember books. Id like to see him understand he cannot return to humanity because hes still contagious, but would be happy to know humanity survived and took in his (possible) child.
I love that theory i wanna see the opposite where the human pass fully and samsons the last of his kind endlessly remembering and fighting to live like a true savage.
Honestly there’s no way any other movie from 2026 is going to top this one for me. All the scenes with Dr Kelson and Samson were peak cinema,as a huge fan of Iron Maiden that scene was super fun and Ralph clearly had so much fun doing it. And they brought back the iconic song from franchise that was missing in the previous movie. I hope Samson comes back in the third movie and spike tells him he is a father. (What if) the history repeating itself is that Spike takes Samson to the island to reunite him with his daughter and some woman falls in love with him and ends up giving her the virus causing an outbreak in the island similar to 28 weeks later because he’s still a carrier like Alice was.
Fun little fact. The water centre at the beginning is a real swimming pool called Richard Dunns in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Which closed down in 2019. Was surreal seeing a swimming pool I spent hours in as a kid on the big screen. Even the no children beyond this point sign was original.
@firstlast542imo there is some the "humans are monsters" but it's way more nuanced. Like you said, there are a bunch of themes in bone temple and tbh I think humans tendency to inflict harm strangely isn't the first one that pops into my head.
Jim truly represents hope. After raising his daughter and becoming a genuine mentor, he is shown as someone who has learned from his experiences and now passes on knowledge, especially History, rather than merely surviving. In that sense, he embodies a powerful symbol of humanity and rebirth after the catastrophe. With Spike finally managing to escape the Bone Temple area, he becomes a key witness to what was happening there. He can reveal to Jim (and his daughter) everything he knows about Kelson, particularly his research on the Alpha. This opens up a major possibility: Jim could take over these discoveries, claim Kelson’s intellectual legacy, and use his notes on a treatment aimed at reducing the effects of the virus. A rebirth then becomes not only symbolic, but potentially real.
26:14 Kelson wasn’t going to treat him and try to cure him. He felt fear from him. The deal was to play the part of the devil in order to not be killed. And when he realized that Spike was there he chose to save him at risk to his own safety. Knowing that this would lead to injury or death for the head Jimmy, he wasn’t willing to save Jimmy the same way he saved Samson. As the ability to speak is what doomed Jimmy. A monster without a voice being able to be saved. A child being forced to be a monster being able to save. But a man forcing others to be monsters cannot be saved. As both Samson and Spike are not monsters there are children who are innocent forced to do awful things.
Jimmy was telling Kelson what the cult of Jimmy was up to after receiving the powder in the face attack. It is possible that Kelson thought he could do something even for Jimmy, but when he understood that he was torturing masses of people to death as his main occupation, Jimmy needed to go in order to save countless innocents, and also save Spike.
I love horror & usually never bothered by anything but I had to look away during the barn scene and the screams kept going in my head that night. It was impressive on the actors part. Maybe they researched what victims screams sound like to prepare? Idk but it was very unsettling.
My only complaint was when the doctor was dying he didn't tell spike or the girl about his discovery of the cure, he could've atleast marked it just incase someone came across it
It would have killed the vibe but also omg right? 'Memento Mori, Spike - also I have potentially partially cured the infection, my notes are in my hideout' Maybe Samson will collect them? He might not be able to do anything with them but he could get them to somebody who might
Both her and Spike were born long after the initial outbreak, no they didn't have any formal science education. Remember that scene where Kelson tells Jimmy Crystal about the virus and he seems confused?
@esanchez9633 Would there be a chance with Jim (or even Selena making a comeback possibly), being a somewhat educated figure in the post apocalypse, running into the now-conscious Samson and getting ahold of the cure?
@esanchez9633your telling me all this zombie shit is caused by bugs and bacterial n shit? Lmfao he didn’t have a clue, he was still mentally a child in the form of a destructive maniac.
I have been a huge fan ever since 28 days later. After 28 weeks later, I didn’t think they would ever make another movie but I am so glad they did 28 years later was good and the bone temple is totally wild. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
They didn't eat the vicar in the first movie. They infected him, and then he literally did start leading them in a very odd scene that may suggest something metaphysical was indeed going on.
One of the main reasons I believe bone temple is one of the best movies of the year is due to its ability to hold more weight and interpretation on multiple watches. Even though the movie is very graphic, part of the reason it is an effective in conveying what it wants to portray is the excellent storytelling, script, as well as the amazing acting from the actors. There is so much to gather from the details and the sheer amount of emotional depth in every single one of the character motivations.
Acceptance & Forgiveness are potentially great themes for part 3. We have characters like Sampson and Jimmy Ink who have been manipulated and twisted by something terrible their whole lives and have been given a chance to atone. I can definitely see Cathy (pregnant woman) coming back and causing a rift between Jim and Spike when she reveals what their ‘group’ did to hers. We also have yet to see how baby Isla is doing and if her origins have caused strife amongst the islanders.
I found it interesting watching Samson clean himself in the river, almost like he was washing away his sins. I noticed Jimmy not only was like Christ being crucified but he was also stabbed in the side, contrasting what the Roman's did to Christ as well.
Full circle indeed. The ending of this movie mirrors closely the start of the first movie where Jim meets Selina and runs into Frank and his daughter while trying to flee the infected. This seems especially true for "history repeating" and makes me wonder if the tide of infected will be replaced with a different and new horror.
Another important thing about the moth is that the majority of people would swat it away or crush it - whereas Kelsen was passive and showed his peaceful nature and respect for life.
I imagine Samson will find that pregnant lady that ran off, remembering that his own "infected child" was taken will probably help her, they travel back to Spikes Island. Which will then play on the hope because the island will see Samson who was infected, and now he isn't. He will be reunited with the child that was taken from him while he was infected.
I can't get over Jim teaching his daughter and it's so laid back... Yet, if the infected attack, it's at considerable speed! I found that scene with those two very tense. I'm sure they know how and when they can relax but I sure as heck couldn't!
One thing that disappointed me about this film is that the character of Spike, who is really supposed to be the protagonist, is almost 100% irrelevant to the story. He kills Jimmy Shite by accident, which itself is unlikely, but if he hadn't, nothing really would have changed anyway. The character can only be redeemed if they let him do something in part 3.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's a romance between Spike and Jim's daughter in the next one - it seems like a hopeful outcome from all the horror endured during the 28 years.
4:20 This reminds me of the Green Flu Virus from L4D as the virus in the game "Isn't bring back the dead" as he said said in the beginning of the video 1:32 as it makes who's ever infected by the Green Flu sees everyone around them as a Demons and can't help themselves but attack anyone who isn't infected with the Green Flu virus.
One thing to mention... there are opium poppies on the British isles, Kelson could've actually replenished his supplies of pain killers, imagine teaching Samson how to grow his own? That would've been an interesting conclusion... bringing a little civilization back to the hordes.
Just a throw away idea and sorry if this was already commented, but at the very end where Jimmy is strung up and left. He weakly cries "I cant hear you anymore, father" which I interpreted as the substance that the Doctor blew into their faces at the start of the final dance sequence having an effect on the potential psychosis that more than just the infected are dealing with in this new world. Thinking that cloud was the same drug cocktail or similar used on Samson and showing he and others too are victims of psychosis extending beyond just the rage virus as an immediate cause.
I picked that up too. Dr Kelson is shown researching antipsychotics. Since the powder wasn't "explained" I felt it was meant to infer that he blew the powder on Jimmy and the Fingers to make sure anyone hearing the voices would get "medicated".
is it just me or anybody thinks Samson didn't kill Sir Jimmy, rather he freed him? Think about it: he sees the doctor (which he identifies as good), wounded, he sees another person wounded and crucified. Anyone who hadn't testify to the scene, would think they were both striked by the same person. Ergo, if Doctor is good, and he's been almost killed by an evil person, who also wounded this other person, this said other person must be good as well. So I'll save him. Cause how on earth Samson could have known Sir Jimmy was evil, therefore worthy of his punishment? I think he saved him. And I also think Sir Jimmy survived. His wounds weren't that serious; the camera even shows that his tummy wound has stopped bleeding. Sure, if he stayed there, on the cross, he woudl have eventually died (blood to the brain?), but if he was saved, he probably survived, I think. Sure, it's possible that the wound was just a symbolism for Christ's wound on the cross...
Jono's scene was to show that people can get infected just by being sprayed with saliva/rage fluid. On the train, Samson was also sprayed, but didn't get infected.
Oddly admire how they did this, allowing us to follow the first movie to get a feel of the world, where as the second movie gives you a run down of what's happening with everyone. Can't really blame them for pulling an Avatar move and splitting a long movie to get the narrative across, unlike Avatar they did it better though
I knew something was afoot with Samson in an early scene; Samson has just killed a human, and there’s a scene where he’s eating the victim’s brain: but, as he does so, a sort of wistful, far-away look comes into his eyes as if to say, ‘there must be more to life than this, surely! This is rubbish’. Next thing you know, he’s seeking out Dr Kelson and his amazing morphine therapy again. I think Samson, even though he’s infected, somehow knows that Dr Kelson is a friend long before their new relationship develops.
Seen this with my son on Saturday and boy we were not disappointed we’ve been waiting patiently for bone temple and it delivered🔥 the Samson train part was crazy!!!!!!
People keep referring them to zombies, they are not dead they are infected, zombies decay but infected age, Samson was infected as a kid and aged and later cured, you can't do that to a zombie.
Jimmy’s pose at 18:03 is that of balphemet. (Know I spelled that wrong. It’s the same demon that is in the shining, jack is in the same pose at the end of the movie in the picture frame. Thinks it’s the devils pose or something like that, can’t remember what it’s called)
Bingo you got it buddy that entire movie Jimmy was doing the secret signs. Very intentional by the creators. Someone on that set is into the dark stuff.
I'm usually of the camp that is disinterested in the human dynamics in zombie films. (walking dead). But i really enjoyed this story because it wasn't ordinary soap opera human interactions, that we can see in any other film, but with zombie cameos. The characters are not something you come across much and is a refreshing take on what people can be after years of acclimating to the environment.
I wonder if there will ever be a movie or spin off revolving around the curing of the infected, with the focus first being set on the recovery of Kelson’s medical journal (in which he wrote the ingredients for the cure)…
My favorite quote ive heard involving the past is that "History doesn't repeat itself , but it does rhyme." Gave chills the first i heard it , because it is the right way to see the past. We can't literally have the third reich again , but there are aspects of that regime that would be too similar to leave to chance
@webkino38 deus vult! my point stands, we cannot have a crusade that is the one that happened in 1099 or any of the ones from the past. that's my point, that it's not the literal part, but more so the ideas. ideas tend to be more enduring and especially bad memories of events are something humans are more prone to remember and IIRC it's because bad things that happen to us are more consequential to our lives than things that are good. a good example is winning the lottery or losing it all. if we lose all our money we have nothing and is so terrible, that the consequences are more pronounced whereas if we spend some spare change on a 2 dollar ticket and win 500 bucks it's great, and we'll remember that it happened because it was _of some consequence_ however when we have a traumatizing thing happen to us or something very painful we have a stronger tether to that moment to try and keep in the back of our mind to not repeat the actions that led to the bad event/thing.
I'm guessing in the the 3rd film Jim will come across Samson and continue kelsons work. As their is similarities in jim and Samson. They've both woken up, been "reborn" (however you want to put it) into a world they no longer know.
I wasn’t interested in seeing part 2 until I saw the end of part 1 which pumped me up for this film. Saw this opening weekend with the boys and was blown away. Really really enjoyed it. Amazing theater experience.
Outstanding video about a truly outstanding film!!! I had carefully avoided all trailers and reviews until I got to see it, and that really paid off, what a treat!!!!
@GrieverXVII can't wait for 28 minutes later... They have to show us the chaos that happened which they only let us hear for a few seconds in this movie...
It was a solid 9/10 7 months ago I was worried where the franchise was going but sitting through that had huge payoff
i thought the moon, as a sort of rebirth too, but in a wolfish/ werewolf sense. as it was a full moon when he spoke his first word post-infection, so in that sense it's an antithesis of the werewolf cliche whereby a full moon would strip werewolves of their humanity. in this case, it actually had him regain his humanity, i think this is especially fitting because of that animal theme, i.e. he is called the alpha, an alpha of a wolf pack.
What's better, 28 Years Later or The Bone Temple?

You mentioned Radiohead paired greatly with this and that is how I felt with Godspeed You! Black Emperor way, way back in 28 Days Later.
In the comic jim gets arrested for killing the soldiers. Maybe he will somehow help spike get off the island.
It's all free mason satanist hidden symbolism Jesus is the only way an truth
Jimmy's doing the finger trick as above as below satanic symbolism for real you people think its fake got news for ya its not it real ther putting this symbolism in here for reason mocking us Christians an God almighty the baphomet aka Satan statue does this Jimmy's doing as above as below wake up repent be born in Jesus name because satans real so is Jesus are lord an savior you all will see soon
SANTAN HAS WON.....ITS HIS GREATEST TRICK.....TO MAKE FOLKS THINK HE DOESNT Exist
The trauma Spike and Kelly will have when our OG main character introduces himself as "Jim" will be a funny scene
right like I was thinking about it and was like... wasnt he Jim too? xD
you know I did not even think about that. Shows you how dense I am😂
literally goes to show how the UK was so random that you could never assume what a group or person will be by their names XD
😂😂😂 damn
i think another important moment after Samson eats the berries is that he wipes his fingers on his loin cloth rather than just leaving it on his fingers like a wild animal

I hope we see more of Samson m, hell Samson vs an alpha would be epic!
@willd9298I loved Sampson so much I could watch a movie only about him
I feel bad for Samson waking up to horrific oral hygiene
😂😂😂
tbf its england...
Fun fact: People who only eat meat have perfect teeth without brushing, look at any tribe that eats primarily meat
@sapperbloggins3859 correct. sugar, corn fructose and preservatives are what totally obliterate teeth.
When Samson spoke, my jaw was on the floor. Then when he spoke a full sentence in the train, my jaw somehow dropped even lower. This movie was crazy
and by the original soundtrack started playing my jaw was already on the floor and it couldn't go any lower
It was absolutely amazing!!!! Hearing him say
“Moon”
“I don’t have my ticket”
&
“Thank you”
Blew me away. I could watch a whole movie just about Sampson. I want to know how he’s able to have rage sex.

It's a movie about a man who spends 28 years trying to make the ultimate Metal music video.
Lmao and the entire opposite of metal MUSIC playing?
…..So metal.
lol I seen this in Dolby
And succeeded. All I could think was, "this party was worth everything."
Laughed my ass off....
I can’t think of a better way to spend 28 years.
Fiennes is really in his renaissance these days. The Menu and now this? He's just incredible as layered, complex, deep characters.
He's literally so good. This makes me want to go down a Ralph rewatch binge.
He was overrated in that ball of crap. Clearly he needed money.
You're a layered complex deep character!
“The Return” unfortunately kinda flew under the radar, but I really liked it and I thought he was great in it.
Ignoring conclave is crazy, lock in twin
"sorry, I don't have a ticket" is unironically the hardest line in Zombie cinema and in 2026.
No matter how many ai bots spam this movie was "guuud" everyone knows it was complete trash
@AmericaFirstxgroyperare you okay
@AmericaFirstxgroyperI'm not ai buddy, I'm american.
@AmericaFirstxgroyperit was good. You're name says everything lmao.

I hope Samson reads all of Kelson’s work and starts treating other infected with the same method he was treated with. I think it’s so interesting that the Infected treat Samson as if he’s uninfected after his treatment.
i mean i love samson’s character but wouldn’t he have the intelligence of a 8 year old?
@marcusr7444 An eight year old who can read
@marcusr7444 this is a good point.
The dead body Kelson was cleaning, who the hip bone belongs to, was the infected woman who gave birth in the last movie too.
hip bone → thigh bone
thigh bone → knee bone
knee bone → shin bone
shin bone → ankle bone
ankle bone → foot bone
I think it was the baby from the first movie’s mother
Glad to hear no AI❤
That alone worth a sub
These glad for no ai comments are just as bad 😂
it's exactly what an AI would say 👀
@mhutch5082how?
Literally no difference
@MadMorphMovieClubwhat ever happened to the kids from 2007 movie ?
@wolfrexo9966They died 100%, if they didn't the infection would have been eradicated in a couple of years. They mightve gotten nuked or killed by the goverment of france idk
This is a little dishonest I actually went back and watched it again and there is less than 3 seconds between her saying it twice. He doesn't hesitate, she doesn't give him time to look through the spyglass
I think the doctor having a conversation with Jimmy about him hearing voices in his head gave him the idea that the alpha drugs for psychosis
This movie elevated a zombie flick so far I can't imagine anyone will top it in this genre. Outrageously smart
You're correct
The director would fire you for saying zombie! they hate that its an infected person with a immense amount of rage hence the "rage virus" and attacking babies.
@vendiesel1963jimmy said zombie in the movie lol
I hope people who were cold on the last one, go see this. What a film.
so good
I wonder is Samson is going to reunite with his child? Remember the infected that gave birth to a baby from the previous movie?
I forgot what happened to that baby?
@angelcity007 Spike gave it to his family before he left the island
I heard Jimmy Crystal say “I want my mum” when he was crucified upside down
Sometimes these performances are forgotten because we dislike the characters, but Jack O'Connel also deserves an oscar nomination.
@MadMorphMovieClub Love this interpretation, thanks for your reply dude :)
I think she did believe in st nick but knew jimmy christo was a sham… she would lightly challenge him many times
@pablo4yu Jimmy Crystal....SIR LORD Jimmy CRYSTAL
I feel for Sampson, immediately after regaining his humanity he must face yet another zombie horror; opiate withdrawal.
DaCosta was brilliant. Shame the Marvel system stifled such a brilliant director with The Marvels. I wish we could have seen a version of that movie actually through DaCosta's eyes.
I agree, I think with a few more efforts like this under her belt she will really solidify herself as an incredible director with a unique vision, BUT I don’t think there is ANY version of “The Marvels” I need to see… 🙃
Honestly her as a director was what initially had me unsure about this film, even though there were elements of both the “Candyman” remake and her take on “Hedda” I liked.
I am now a huge fan after this. Excited to see what she does next.
I don't feel for Sampson, he'll also find he's evolved into a hulk, is immune to Rage virus, and has a monster dong. 😂
I feel like unfortunately this is probably the case for a few other post-“Endgame” (Disney) Marvel movies… even though (and I guess I’m in the minority here) I thought there were PLENTY of missed opportunities in “Endgame” as well… 🤷
Daredevil (though not a movie) comes to mind.
Dr Voldermort killed me at 9:39 just to know . I didnt expect that piece of entertainment. Thank you
No 4 real thank you 😂❤
Was just coming here to say the same 🤣🤣🤣🤣, I had a like 3 second delayed reaction to it lolol, also haven't watched this movie yet, but been talking about it with a buddy who has seen it, and I still call Dr.
2012. I was 14 when I saw documentary so couldn't quite picture how bad he might be
Epstein stuff
This does remain unclear how Jimmy got influenced with that, besides feeling betrayed that faith abandoned him
Nobody talking about the savil references and deeper meaning behind why he was chosen because it's over their heads.
This movie immediately landed itself in the “very special to me” category of movies. Moon 💚
Howzat.
Hows that.

Sick. Get help
You missed who Kelson was taking to the bone temple at the beginning of the movie, it was Sampson's baby mama, he got her from the train. Also when Sampson ate that blackberry it showed him wiping his fingers on his sarong, which ultimately is another symbol of his transformation, cleaning his fingers.
and eating fruits and berries, non raw human brain... Which made me think of veganism as a form of humanity.
Im wondering about Spike taking over the dr spot because of what happened to his mother
😮😮😮😮
Wow! You just scripted a whole new movie. Better get to Writing.
Unfortunately that’s not saying much these days. Not many good ones made
Yeah but awards rigged
@ContentviewerandyYep, I’m surprised Trump hasn’t bought his Academy Award. Before his death though…. Triohy
@ekunina5410 presented
With Jimmy dead, I’m really interested to see how they’ll tie in Jim’s conclusion arc, Samson’s ending, and the father/son reconciliation.
I have a young son who is just learning to speak and one of his new favourite words is moon. That scene really resonated with me.
Love stuff like this, very cool fact. Thanks
How many times did you pee in the pool? Your dna might be on film now
@MinoritiesRlazycountless! Although it was a council pool so the cocktail of DNA would be on mutant level!
Wow!
Me too plus my daughter lives opposite
7:10 Jimmy's memory got warped here, he called them "Teletummies".
A television in their tummies, think about it.
@azazelreficulmefistofelicu7158 I know, that was so brilliant about his explanation, it made perfect sense!
What impressed me on the first 28 movie is that they showed humans are the real monsters in most cases.
In an apocalypse definitely
that message sort of worked 20+ years ago but today its so tired and trite, thats not all BT was about, total surface level reading
@firstlast542imo there is some the "humans are monsters" but it's way more nuanced. Like you said, there are a bunch of themes in bone temple and tbh I think humans tendency to inflict harm strangely isn't the first one that pops into my head.
Perfect summary
Just look at governments left & right. Satanic
I watched this movie before 28 years later.
I didn’t stop watching and it is my absolute favorite movie ever.
Incredible movie.
You also forgot to mention when Dr. Dies hes spirit elevates to the sky and Jimmy spirit gets taken away from the Devil or Demon.
I love horror & usually never bothered by anything but I had to look away during the barn scene and the screams kept going in my head that night. It was impressive on the actors part. Maybe they researched what victims screams sound like to prepare? Idk but it was very unsettling.
What a freaking awesome couple of years it's been for horror.
@esanchez9633You're correct. The only people that would have any aptitude at this point would have to be in their forties or older.
"If you thought the first movie was controversial," shows the third movie in the series.
17:31 I’m gonna argue this is the best scene in the franchise, it’s entertaining and funny and true to the characters. I absolutely love it
One of the main reasons I believe bone temple is one of the best movies of the year is due to its ability to hold more weight and interpretation on multiple watches. Even though the movie is very graphic, part of the reason it is an effective in conveying what it wants to portray is the excellent storytelling, script, as well as the amazing acting from the actors. There is so much to gather from the details and the sheer amount of emotional depth in every single one of the character motivations.
I sure appreciate the "no AI" note.
A little thing I noticed, his daughter heard them before he did. She's young, so sharper, but clearly taught and trained well to adapt.
It was stunning. Horrible, exciting, sad and tender in equal measures. I loved it.
I've seen Iron Maiden live four times. I couldn't believe this scene; I sang along to the whole song. I love that album!
This movie is like night and day compared to its first part. Now the first part is worth the set up.
when Sampson is attacked on the train, it’s also made clear that he cannot be reinfected
and he seems to retain the hyper fast reflexes and strength he did when infected. He kept the benefits and lost the bad symptoms.
I've never seen any of the 28 series films, i've spent my fair time down the wiki rabbit hole, but this film with Samson got me hooked
Spike is a good character this movie was about evil ones
Who said he supposed to be main protagonist?
no, hes the main character of the first one since thats his coming of age kind of journey. The main characters of this movie are samson and dr kelson.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's a romance between Spike and Jim's daughter in the next one - it seems like a hopeful outcome from all the horror endured during the 28 years.
I got chills when Jim says to his daughter when she asks if they should help, "Of course we do". Excited for the final chapter.
Great review.
It was a phenomenal movie. I'm amazed at how good the 20 years later trilogy is becoming.
This one was great. I didn't know what to expect, but man you nailed all the existence within it.
I didn’t like the first movie but after hearing this made me rethink my whole approach at how I looked at the movie ngl
This movie is a total new perception on zombie fantasy
amazing video. usually i hate when videos are only about recaps but you managed to put in clues and foreshadowing for it to not feel boring.
I wonder if there’s an extended or directors cut because it was great.
I really liked the kelson character. Such a nice kind and gentle character i love that.
That Iron Maiden Scene was PHENOMENAL 🔥
My favorite!
12:42 Censoring the word naked is wild!
I’m looking forward to seeing it. Is so good to see that Garland has returned to the franchise his writing style is just poetic
That makes 0 sense
Ooh, there is a third movie!!! Yaay! I loved the Bone Temple the most.
Samson doesn't kill Lord Jimmy though, another infected does.
is it just me or anybody thinks Samson didn't kill Sir Jimmy, rather he freed him?
@emmylou-ks1md so that Crystal guy was somehow infected all along? Why he not transformed? And what did he saw on other people faces?
Movie was amazing, love how they didnt make it a typical zombie movie. Cannot wait for the 3rd movie.
Theres been a few war references I though was interesting. The reference to remembering after the world wars, the Poppy's in the field
Haven't got to watch the bone temple yet. But dang, the doc died. He was awesome.
I love your thorough movie breakdowns. Thank you.
You 2 must have had a great time looking at Samson's dingaling
People keep referring them to zombies, they are not dead they are infected, zombies decay but infected age, Samson was infected as a kid and aged and later cured, you can't do that to a zombie.
Jimmy’s pose at 18:03 is that of balphemet. (Know I spelled that wrong. It’s the same demon that is in the shining, jack is in the same pose at the end of the movie in the picture frame. Thinks it’s the devils pose or something like that, can’t remember what it’s called)
It's the same pose at the end of The Shining.
Dont forget sampson isnt alone because he has met spike before so there is a chance for a reunion of sorts
sampsons going to be happy when he finds out the spike saved his child. which the child will be alpha at birth right?
@Hawaiianskater3a half breed maybe?
I wonder if there will ever be a movie or spin off revolving around the curing of the infected, with the focus first being set on the recovery of Kelson’s medical journal (in which he wrote the ingredients for the cure)…
Your captions are killing me 😅
I would LOVE to see a video from you about the Iron Lung movie. Hopefully you got to see it in theaters 😊😊
My favorite quote ive heard involving the past is that
"History doesn't repeat itself , but it does rhyme."
Gave chills the first i heard it , because it is the right way to see the past.
We can't literally have the third reich again , but there are aspects of that regime that would be too similar to leave to chance
We can definitely have another crusade.
@webkino38 deus vult!
my point stands, we cannot have a crusade that is the one that happened in 1099 or any of the ones from the past. that's my point, that it's not the literal part, but more so the ideas.
ideas tend to be more enduring and especially bad memories of events are something humans are more prone to remember and IIRC it's because bad things that happen to us are more consequential to our lives than things that are good.
a good example is winning the lottery or losing it all.
if we lose all our money we have nothing and is so terrible, that the consequences are more pronounced whereas if we spend some spare change on a 2 dollar ticket and win 500 bucks it's great, and we'll remember that it happened because it was _of some consequence_ however when we have a traumatizing thing happen to us or something very painful we have a stronger tether to that moment to try and keep in the back of our mind to not repeat the actions that led to the bad event/thing.
@webkino38 pointless combat in the name of gods love is a thing of the past and stupid
I'm guessing in the the 3rd film Jim will come across Samson and continue kelsons work. As their is similarities in jim and Samson. They've both woken up, been "reborn" (however you want to put it) into a world they no longer know.
Wait it got a squeal already damn they pulled some lord of the rings shit and filmed them back to back
I wasn’t interested in seeing part 2 until I saw the end of part 1 which pumped me up for this film. Saw this opening weekend with the boys and was blown away. Really really enjoyed it. Amazing theater experience.
For a movie not streaming yet it’s crazy to have clips of it already.
Good ol piracy tricks
I've never been more excited for a recap, I've been waiting for this since like December LOL
Outstanding video about a truly outstanding film!!! I had carefully avoided all trailers and reviews until I got to see it, and that really paid off, what a treat!!!!
was terrible. obviously its personal preference, but its just such a far cry from what 28d and 28w was..
Hahha same here. Worth it.
@GrieverXVII can't wait for 28 minutes later... They have to show us the chaos that happened which they only let us hear for a few seconds in this movie...
It was absolutely amazing!!!! Hearing him say
“Moon”
“I don’t have my ticket”
&
“Thank you”
Blew me away. I could watch a whole movie just about Sampson. I want to know how he’s able to have rage sex.
It was a solid 9/10 7 months ago I was worried where the franchise was going but sitting through that had huge payoff
i thought the moon, as a sort of rebirth too, but in a wolfish/ werewolf sense. as it was a full moon when he spoke his first word post-infection, so in that sense it's an antithesis of the werewolf cliche whereby a full moon would strip werewolves of their humanity. in this case, it actually had him regain his humanity, i think this is especially fitting because of that animal theme, i.e. he is called the alpha, an alpha of a wolf pack.
Lovely review
