@@CarolynBaker-u4s I’m sorry to hear that. Sounds like the property has declined since I last stayed there. Were you able to get a refund on the room? If not, I would contact Choice Hotels. Maybe you can get at least enough rewards points for a future free stay somewhere else.
No pool, but it was a decent stay for an economy motel. However, in the summer you can go across the street and wade in the refreshing, and shallow, river at Oconaluftee Island Park.

It was pretty decent for the price. I would stay again.
It was worse I had ever stayed in. No hot water. Bathroom would not flush.
