You saved my daughter's day♡ Our daughter is Autistic and in Kindergarten, and had her 1st ever semi-formal Daddy Daughter Dance. Sometimes she cannot tolerate her hair being messed with, and even brushing can sometimes lead to a mini meltdown due to her sensory issues. She's improved remarkably over the last 2 years, however. I am always having difficulty trying to find styles for her that are casual, decent, quick and able to keep her hair out of her face. I was looking through your videos for a style that looked semi-formal or even a sweet casual looking style. We did a rope braid side pony style thanks to your tutorials; which I only had to watch once and it looked perfect. I'd never done a rope braid (I can't even french braid lol). Now I probably can, thanks to you. She watched the videos with me and she actually let me do her hair, no issues. No jerking, no meltdowns, nothing. She was so calm, and I took pictures of the back and sides to show her once we were done, and she absolutely loved it. Smiling and she even said "so beautiful!". She's only partially verbal (was non-verbal not long ago, and is dramatically improving more than just using sign) so that was amazing. I am still tearing up over it. She truly looked so beautiful and had such a wonderful time ♡. I really think now maybe she might let me do her hair more often. I just had to tell you how much your videos meant to us for this very special moment for her. Thank you so very much.
I'm letting my hair grow (from a short bob) and it's approaching clavicle length! Looking forward to trying this and messy buns! Would be perfect for me at work; I'm "hot natured" and often work under heat and humidity with my tiny patients. If it's not going to be short, it's going up - LOL! Read you daily, buy what you recommend, and enjoy all your videos - and those beautiful boys and their stories. Thanks for being a working mom😊
I absolutely love this and I am hopeless with my hair. Totally learning this for Christmas Day as I'll be cooking for many and this will be a nice alternative to my usual scrunchy-in/I'm-a-cooking-mum hairstyle :)
