I think this is one of the first head nod approvals I've seen from Matt on a Taylor. You know that when he gives the nod of approval, it's a great guitar!!!
V-class bracing does something to improve the sound , just can't point the finger on what. I think it gives guitar more note sustain and balance with better intonation. I own 414 -R , wasn't planning to buy it, but the deal was too good to pass up, paid 1500 bucks (tax included) for it, during pandemic in NYC. Beautiful bear claw spruce and Indian rosewood back. brand new in the case. Couldn't let it go for that price. no matter that last year i bought 4 guitars and now have 10
An absolutely perfect song for an absolutely perfect guitar. I've drawn so much inspiration from your style of playing over the past couple weeks. As soon as I'm able to afford this (which won't be anytime soon haha) I'll be taking a trip out to purchase one of these beauty's.
Aaron roosa Thanks a million Aaron! It seems easy for a guitar this nice to really pull the best out of the player. I trust any guitar on this level would be a great source of inspiration. Definitely come see us when you're ready, Cheers!
I've never commented on any of these types of blogs before. I'm considering an 816 so I'm browsing RUclips. Love your style. Bugger I live in Australia or I'd be pestering you for lessons.
David McAloney I own Martin's and Taylor's I have 2015 816ce and it the best sounding and so easy to play my Martin's can not touch it it is really that good
Wonderful playing, wonderful sound, on this performance and the sound, are you picking making contact with strings with nails or flesh of your finger ? Regard, Danny...
I have to ask... because I play a very similar style of music... where do you draw inspiration? What finger style players do you listen to? Love the music! Greg
KevinT747 This tuning is open D maj. The open tuning seemed to accentuate the qualities I liked best about this guitar... Great sustain and good thumping low notes. Very strong overtones as well! Thanks very much!!

I can't compliment your guitar playing enough. Is there anything you can't make sound good?
Roberto Rodriguez Thank you so much! I'm typically not as much of a Taylor guy, but you can't deny the way this one sounds!
Cheers!!
@@eddiesguitars I see that you play lots of fingerstyle on your reviews. What's your favorite brand?
nice song!

This guitar sounds very similar to the Martin D45 to my ear.
Hey man, mind telling me what the first two chords are? Sounds sweet :)
What tuning are you playing in? Drop D?
Sounds so rich and piano-like. Good player/guitar combo.

DADGAD tuning brings out low register sound out of that taylor, which is usually lacking in standard
Think must cost at least 4000 bucks !?
fantastic guitar, this dude can play as well as he he can grow a beard too.
Very tasty !
Too many overtones ,, unless you love that Taylor sound like me!!!! Lol
