Hi, I am interested to find out is there ever a need to change the acid free used in the storage of textile and costumes? What is the indicator to change?
I have an old embroidery Sun Bonnet Sue collection and the gauzy material is compromised. What i treat the material with in order to reinforce it. I'd like to incorporate it into a quilt but I'm not sure how to work with or reinforce the gauzy fabric. My first instinct is to back it with fusible interfacing. Any advise or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
