You're such a genuine dude, you don't sound overly professional but you definitely sound like you know what you're talking about.
I Sculpt i could see him having an educational kids show
I started my first 10 gallon reef tank after watching your videos. Thank you for giving me the resources and knowledge to start my tank!
Are Zoanthids a safe topping for pizza?
Try it
Definitely
NO
Yep like pepperonis
LOL
He sounds like he's about to inform me about number 15: Burger King foot lettuce
@Jett Johnathan liar
I like that you are incorporating more banter into your videos
I have to say your older videos are better than your newer ones I've been a long time sub over 3 years now and I'm rewatching older videos
Great information for a newbie such as myself. When I am at the point of adding corals to my tank I am going to follow your suggestions. I have always like to the looks of zoas so that was the first coral I had planned on getting. The Toadstools was a new thought so I will look into them as well as the Elegance. Thanks for taking the time to put this information together!
Do you blink?
True
i cant unsee this now
He blinks when you blink. That's why you can't see it
XD Bravo
He's reading off something which is why it's hard to blink. Hard to unsee now. Informative video tho.
This is seriously one of the best aquarium videos I've every seen!! .... Your comedic timing is perfect and the cut scenes are hilarious !!! . the info is spot on too !
Wow zoa are REALY colorful and beginner freindly
Great vid, your recent videos got me into grabbing a few tanks for myself and just wanna congratulate you and how far this channels come keep it up man !!
Thanks for the tips. Good advice for people starting out.
Great video! I have had my reef tank for 5 months, and I have had my first Monti cap for a few weeks now. These are great corals that aren't the most obvious beginner corals. Thanks for the video! :)
Yo i thought this kid was gonna be boring and nerdy but he's funny as hell lol thats for the tips bro!
you’ve inspired me to branch out and bring a reef tank to college :) thank ya for all your help George !!
elegance corals are great to take up space on a budget, but it really depends whether you get lucky or not that you get a healthy specimen or not.
my first elegance literally went through HELL.
it started in my 8g QT tank that wasn't cycled, moved to my first ever saltwater DT, been in the sand, been on the rock, been in the shade, i was stressing the guy like crazy.
well, now it's super large, opens up huge, and has been hosting my clownfish for a year lol.
but i agree that duncans would make better beginner corals, they grow like MAD and you can feed them pretty heavily. My 1 head had 4 baby heads within 1 month. highly recommended!
Thanks George. I just subscribed to your channel and can't believe you were in my backyard and I missed you "medowlands". I am a beginner at salt water tank. Really appreciate all your help...Thanks.
Never had a salt water tank but your vids are making me re-think and re-re-think!!!! thanks for ur vids gorgie....
This was an awesome video! I will suggest this to any new reefers I know:)!
I was new to the hobby and cut them up like Benny Hana . Got a merca staph infection in my nose that could have been deadly. It definitely can happen I don't keep them anymore. Good times😁
I have a question. Why would anyone cut a coral?
Miss M To frag them. Which is basically a way to force them to split so that you can spread them better
I got my kid still singing "Nassarius Snails!"
Coralfish12g could you make a video on the easiest LPS corals. I think that would be a great video.
I just subbed! Finally someone who actually speak not so damn difficult.
I really like all your videos and you always crack me up!
I've subscribed and always give you a thumbs up.
Keep up the good work!!!
Another great video George. I was watching you since you are very young. 😊
Star polyp is nice, just grows fast
I love these corals. 👍
love your channel! you've really come a long way! especially love the humor lol!
Because of the shirt ..thumbs up and subscribed .. Lots of knowledge in this channel yo
This helped a lot thanks George
You should do a video explaining why sump help with the tank how they work.
you taught me a lot thank you
Good list and great call on Blastomussa...under rated and very easy to care for. However, there is no way an elegance is a starter coral wouldn't put it in my top 20 easiest. I would have added Duncan, or hammer or other euphyllias in it's place.
For newbies I wouldn't recommend elegance, in the LPS category I would recommend candy canes and Duncan which are quite hardy and beginner friendly
I went to a few local aquarium shops today, and my gosh.. the nasty stuff I saw. Dead fish. Aiptaisia everywhere. The footage of those zoanthids you had gives me hope
Thanks for the information bro 👍
Another great vid! Agree with most of this list although it would be luck of the draw with the Elegance in terms of getting a healthy specimen. A much safer alternative may be the Branching Frogspawn. =)
I didn't know this existed, but how di you refrain from blinking for so long? Real question tho.
What would you recommend for a beginner coral that would be a good host for a clown fish in a nano reef?
nothing because there is no guarantee that your clowns will host it. i have matched up clowns and a anenome in my tank and they host a hammer coral.
Russell Garcia Xenia will host clowns well.
Anything Euphyillia, it's easy to keep, looks nice and from what I've seen clowns host them alot
hi what additives and minerals for these soft corals and also food for soft corals great video by the way keep it up buddy
Your videos are interesting,just subscribed.Good video👍
I'm surprised to see Montipora on this list. They're pretty much the most finicky SPS along with Acropora.
Awesome video!! thanks for the much needed advice
AWESOME MAN! KEEP IT UP!
Thanks for this info I am a very good planted tank aquarist I just setup a 63 gallon saltwater this weekend and I know Jack about the salt hobby I think It does not matter what kind of corals I get because if I find them all amazing so the easy ones for me will be just as good as the super hard ones. Just to get my first one is making me super pumped. Should I start with fish first or can I start with corals? My tank needs to cycle still for at least two to 3 weeks but I am loving the corals more than the fish at the moment.
THANK YOU THIS IS LITERALLY I EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED RN
Can you make a video on how to feed corals? Also water parameters. Thanks!
I think elegance is moderate level 😍👍
The #6 i think its the sps bird nest it grows very fast and looks very well
I am from pakistan your videos is very help ful
i would actually recommend star polyp coral because they grow fast and are pretty hardy BUT they have to be isolated on their own rock in the middle of the sand. the do thrive with good/high water flow . this was the first coral i put in my nano cube and its doing great
how is it holding up now
Thank you George. 😘
He sounds like chills in the beginning 😂😂
great video George
Good help, i like it..😊👌👍👍
Great video. Thanks
Thank you I'm ready to start the reef
Thank you!!
You inspire me
Very cool video👌🏼😝🐡🐠
We would like a updated list now that so many options are now available.
Idk everyone says they love Zoanthids but I’m not to crazy about them honestly. I like big puffy looking corals. They do look like sunflowers a little bit but idk I just never been that attracted to them like that
Zoanthids are so pretty. But, I'm new and they scare me with the palyntoxin. Do you always need to handle them with gloves?
J B Zoanthids are only dangerous if you are planning of fragging(cutting) them apart or trying to take them off the plug. I have Zoanthids and I dont wear gloves handling them. Please don't worry, they are awesome
J B yes you do
@@TheLittleGemstone zoanthinds are dangerous and toxic and there is no way around that. People always say if you handle them wrong well guess what if you handle a gun wrong it can kill you too.
i DIED at 6:00 😂😂😂😂

Me too hahaha

More power to your channel broo. Mabuhay! 👍😊💖 I've watched you on Nas Daily.
bird nest is actually another good choice for beginner‘s SPS
i subed because your so profesional keep it that way best of luck
Saw a sea slug on your Elagance coral
Elegance*
Just want to get a salt water tank but in South Africa they mostly have fresh water fish in most of the pet shops
This was a excellent video 🤗🤗🤗
My first sps was a rainbow acro, the only reason i bought it was because it was $5 and i thought i might give one of the hardest sps corals to keep a try and i still have it today
Bro how to setup mini saltwater aquarium.... with low maintenance.tell me about this
Ram Malai look into freshwater
@@legallyrequired no
how does the base of your elegance look like now? ive seen it turn black when placed in substrate
Zoanthids and beginners: an excellent recipe for cardiac failure. Fraging them is a delicate procedure and if done incorrectly puts risk on yourself and family. Better left to more experienced reefers. They grow easy, sure, but they have killed reefers before and will do so again.
Ooooo toadstools...i do like those
I want to start back up in the hobby again and Im thinking of buying the new oceanic LED 32 biocube but I'm wondering how much live rock I will need and how to aqua scape the rock considering each individual rock is a different shape and size
very good video but I'm very new to the reef tanks and if you can make more videos on beginner stuff and fish to put in that would be awesome :) your the best
What do you want to know? Number one thing is to start reading, also go to BRS TV they have a 52 weeks of reefing videos. Some of it is overkill but go through the videos as you need them in order not to get overwhelmed. Number one tip is to go as big as you can, saltwater tanks are much harder when they are too small. Doesn't allow for a margin of error. Have a look at my channel. Have been doing videos from my start up of my 270 Gallon reef tank. New update coming soon.
New to Reefand trying to learn Love your videos. Concern for loss of electricity. Some say use battery backed surgeprotector and only put powerbeads on it(how long can it last) others say generator. What are your thoughts Thanks
Good info
I have a 10 gallon tank that I started in January 2018, I am currently stocking my tank with equipment, sand, rock, etc. Anyway my birthday is a week away and for my party I asked my very experienced saltwater aquarist Kai, to get me a Euphyllia (Hammer Branch) Coral for my Bday, is this a good starter coral?
lol nice vid.
Yeah impulse buying corals is the worst. same with fish too.
I'm still not getting zoanthids out of fear
Ary Still bro they are easy and not toxic till you chop them wrong
Eating dinner right now after handling them without gloves
I love my zoanthids some of my favorites
You: I'm not risking it.
Me: *has zoanthid garden*
@@harrywade8079 you madman.
Great video 👍👍
I’m getting a 25gallon tank and I’m gonna get a couple of these corals and I didn’t know how many fish I could fit in there
Good choices. Birdsnest
What are your thoughts on Ricordea and other mushrooms for beginners looking to set up a nano?
hey george, I'm a little surprised you mentioned elegance as being a good LPS coral for beginners. Back in the 90's I had an awesome elegance. Now a days at least the ones from indonesia don't do well. The ones from Australia do much better.
How old dose your aquarium need to be to get these coral?
#1 perfect beginner coal Zoanthids......also the most toxic.....should beginners really be handling zoas?
@iDon'tCare lol
was that a flatworm or snail on the bottom of the elegance?
I have a newly set up reef tank and what was my first coral?
An acropora that is thriving in the flow and light
Where in the world do you get corals for a few bucks and where is the best place to get cheap corals? do u recommend ebay or private sellers?
Thing with toadstools is they get big so not really suitable for nano tanks. I had a toadstool in my nano and it started shadowing over the over corals because it got to the size of a plate. Upgraded my tank now though.
You are George from Nas daily!
I saw the video today
2:53 the rhyme's lit 👌
Thank you
even tho this video is old, I wish he would respond more
Can you please do elegance coral care and maintanance olease, i bought one and started to die 3 days after
I know this is a stupid question but are corals animals or plants or are they they just their own family
Are elegance corals non toxic? And are they invasive? I dont want any invasive corals, and are they easy to feed and keep?
