As a person from Ontario that lives on a border with the US. Could we ask the US to work on drugs and guns coming into Canada. It’s a way bigger problem for us. Most gun crimes committed in Ontario are from illegal guns smuggled in from the states.

Once again what you people fail to grasp is that any and all illegal drugs or firearms crossing into Canada............not the USA.............is a direct result of OUR failure to halt these criminals in their tracks.............if WE...........Canada had a tougher and more guarded border more than likely this sort of thing would be lessoned...........unfortunately those responsible for bringing such into Canada are often smarter than our system allows and are very well organized and $$ changing hands is not to far fetched an idea either!!

Some of them are bad. By the way, why should he care? No matter what he does, people in Alberta are going to hate him. If I were him, I'd forget about doing things for Alberta. All that will happen is that people will end up hating him anyway. If he didn't build the pipeline, people would be complaining about that too. He's going to be gone pretty soon, so if I were him I'd just enjoy the ride. He really thinks he can win the next election. That's not going to happen. But are we going to get someone better? @@johnthomson3248 We definitely have the same issue as the US where one has to watch multiple diverse sources of news to get a somewhat accurate picture of what is going on. CBC is state run operation that tends to side with the Liberal government but we have many more news organizations up here that would tell you the complete opposite of what that reporter said. Given all the issues we have up here with addiction, weapons crime, illegal migration, a Canadian would have to be blind to not see that we have an issue with our borders.

Now I'm guessing people are seeing the wisdom in the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion. I know the costs ballooned, this is something the government needs to seriously review, but it will be great for our economy in the long run and it was a good learning opportunity. I've always been of the strong opinion that Canada MUST diversify its trading partners away from the US as much as possible so we aren't so wholly reliant on them for our trade whereas Pierre Polievre and the CPC in general just criticize and would keep us under the American boot.

When Harper was in power he had several pipelines approved. When Trudeau came into power he cancelled all of them. The Trans Mountain pipeline was orginally planned to be constructed by a private company but Trudeau put in so many restrictions the the company walked away. The federal government bult the pipeline at more then 3 times the orginal projected cost.
Trudeau has been the one who has been obstructing our diversifcation.
