That happens when you help them to growth with a company,good house and money they forgot who help him! plenty money to show to other woman, that lady felt in his ego,she was naive sad that he used her too.

Truly what gets me is that any cheater in the dramas I've seen have all begged forgiveness and tried to use the "My child needs a whole family" line. Honestly, I don't agree with that. If the parents can't/won't get along what kind of family message is that sending to the kids? If they were to stay together, the wife would never trust the husband again, arguements all the time, mistrust EVERYWHERE. What kind of living environment is that for a child? Think it would be better to split, and MAYBE share custody, be amicable to each other, don't talk bad about each other but don't hide things either. Use this as a teaching tool about what NOT to do when your child grows up, maybe they won't make the same mistake the dad did. As to the husband, he was MAN enough to cheat but not man enough to stand up and accept the consequences of his actions when caught, even begging the wife to help end the affair, yet used their joint money to pay for the mistress. Seems very cruel to the wife IMO She did stand up for her and her son though which is kinda rare in these dramas so YAY for her

Why is he lying? A little girl made him feel like a big man. The wife stood by and supported him.
Why is the husband is now acting like he is so pitiful?! Dude, you're the one who cheated! Atleast be man enough to own your sin! Don't use the 'our son need me to complete our family' card! Thats nothing but a load of cr$p!
What a pathetic excuse for a man! I wonder how many cheating men and mistresses in China watching this feel any guilt? The damage created by an affair goes far beyond just the relationship between husband and wife. And there are a lot of people watching this, who are family members who have experienced the destruction of their families because one or both of their parents cheated. The writers, producers and actors/actresses in this sequence are so good at their work. This scene captures all of the complex emotions associated with infidelity.
To all of you cheaters watching this. Now you know the fruits of your destructive acts... Shame on You!
Very well said. And I fully agree. It doesn't just hurt the spouse, it hurts the families too b/c they have to pick up the pieces which are left behind afterwards. Cheaters rarely regret til after caught and then only b/c they are CAUGHT not b/c of what they did. He wasn't sorry he cheated, he even said he felt guilty every time he came home but that didn't stop him from going back at all. If that's guilt it's very short lived. then begging wife to help him end with the mistress. What kind of man is he?!
@@TheCelidon I agree. He isn't much of a man, is he? Cheating on your life partner is a choice. If you decide to bite into that forbidden fruit, then you've got to understand that there are consequences. If you cheat on your marriage, then something is already broken. As Gu Jia said in the episode that followed this clip, Xu Huan Shan's affair was merely an expression of his displeasure in his relationship with Gu Jia.
Gu Jia is a beautiful person inside-out. Xu Huan Shan doesn't deserve a woman of her character and integrity... he deserves that skinny, naive, immature and selfish tart, and everything that came with her.
The producers and actors/actresses are superb. They make you forget that this is fiction. The portrayal of infidelity is devastatingly accurate.
@@DrFlippin Totally, cheating is a choice. If you are drunk and it happens it still is a choice, you allowed yourself to get that drunk to take that step, still no excuse for cheating. He wasn't man enough to TALK or COMMUNICATE with his wife about his displeasure with the marriage, instead he decided to find someone else who would *worship* him and make him feel manly. But to me his wife was only making the choices b/c he wasn't man enough to make them himself. He didn't try to and when he said from their dating up to marriage to beyond she made all choices/decisions he still married her, so is he not to blame too b/c he married her KNOWING her personality? He could have said no but he still married her. And the fact that he didn't stay with that mistress just proves that at the end of that affair he understood who was better for him even with her flaws. At least that's how I took it, he claims he didn't wanna leave his son with no father, he didn't think of that when he was cheating.
To me fathers who cheat and try to bring their kids into play like that are cruel. Didn't think of them when he cheated, all the time he spent with his mistress he could have been HOME and with his wife and child, instead he was playing around and not being the dad he should have been. He didn't think of that at all until his wife decides to leave and only then did he realize what he is about to lose. I hate cheaters like that. Don't use your kids to keep the marriage you don't want b/c you have to play outside of it. Yes the producers did great BTW
@@TheCelidon When I was reading your last comment - about Hua Shan using his son to keep his marriage and family intact, I immediately remember the scene where Hua Shan arrives home just minutes ahead of Gu Jia. He is playing horse with his son riding on his back. He conveniently hid being out of breath (from running up the stairs) and any perspiration by making it look like he had his son on his back for a long while. When I first saw that scene, I didn't know why I felt irritated by it but now realize that he was using his son to deceive his wife. I've got nothing but disgust for Hua Shan's character.
The writers of this drama series are excellent. I have a sense that there are a lot of couples like Hua Shan and Gu Jia out there in the World.
@@DrFlippin Yes I am sure there are. From what I've heard this pandemic has caused alot of divorces due to not being able to hide the infidelities :P I actually find that kinda funny myself only b/c what they thought was something they could do this virus has outted them on. But to use your own kids to hide your cheating and then try to use them to save the marriage you've messed up and are about to lose is even worse. They blame everyone but themselves when caught. If you are man/woman enough to do it, when you are caught at least stand up and face the consequences of your actions for what you have done. Yes your spouse may not be perfect, but did you attempt to talk, help the marriage in any way before deciding to cheat at all. Cheating shouldn't be an option to fix a problem in marriage and that's what i feel these dramas are pointing out. But it's infuriating b/c they write the women as too soft hearted to stand up on their own except in rare cases. Unlike this drama, she forced him out due to his mistakes. I'd be the same. But again the writers did a great job writing these scenes and the actors did great in pulling the emotions out. When we can hate them/love them that much then we know they did the job right.
There would be one betrayal, but he has not had enough betrayal yet, he has started a relationship on the side! Unfortunately, many married women switch their attention to children and leads to the inevitable.
This was one of the WORST dramas I've ever not watched until the end. The justification for infidelity is SO glorified in this drama it made me ill. Not only did he SEEK it, he lied, stole money, took advantage of his wife's trust, screwed his son of a role model, and now he's in front of his wife begging, with crocodile tears, to help him out and get rid of his mistress???? What the hell kind of crap is this drama trying to tell us here...especially women? Forgive if you still love? Fuck that, it's just some 'saying' men invented so they can screw skanks.

Gu jia was actually very strong throughout the drama. I can understand feeling frustrated with her sometimes for not immediately putting 2 and 2 together and buying too easily the lies of her husband, but i think we should consider the fact that they were married for ten years and before this, he hadn't given her reason to believe he would hurt her ( or their son) that way. Loving someone involves trusting them and I can't say I can judge Gu Jia for desperately wanting to believe that the life she had been building for the last ten years wasn't a lie. What I admire most about her and this drama is that when it became clear that the trust she put in him was shattered, she took the steps to end it. Gu Jia didn't allow herself to stay unhappy and disrespected for the sake of "family image". Even when she found out her husband had a mistress, she kicked her husband out and didn't even acknowledge the mistress' existence until she had the audacity to try and manipulate/hurt her child. I think the moral behind this drama isn't "forgive if you love" but rather "if he wants a mile, don't give even an inch". She divorced his ass in the end and he went jail and lost the company thanks to the fireworks he produced for his mistress.

This is a good show but these short clip in English subtitled is terrible. I need one with episode one after another. I am hooked in Chinese drama but a pain searching. So far I can only watched Emergency. The Young Doctor series doesn’t interested me. For My Love 2017 is good but short 96/97 clips is terrible. How can you watched from beginning to end. I admitted For My Love there is one but only in Indo

This is what happens when women are attracted to men they can raise not those they can look up to and learn from or equals to partner with and carry the family load. Such a hardworking and integral woman always cleaning up after an insecure liar. Like psychological pedophilia.She's the mother and he is the kid.
