    Installed mine this weekend. I had to remove the front wheels to get better access. Also to note, remove the lower position on the front wheel links first then the upper. My rear linkages had to have a 10mm difference right to left to make itself level. Not sure why but took multiple attempts to correct. Made the ride a little more "bouncy" but not bad since most my driving is highway anyway.

    Also if you shoot some wd-40 into the link sockets before you try to pry it off, it comes off 10x easier. Don’t want to wreck those sensors.

    I'm hoping you can help me troubleshoot this issue. I installed the front links first and everything seemed fine. I then went on to install the rear links.
    After installation, the airmatic system keeps calling for the car to lower. The car lowered until it seems the rears were completely deflated and the fronts wouldn't move.
    I tried readjusting the links but there was no change. The adjustment made was 5mm each. One set longe the other set shorter per instructions.
    Thinking maybe this just doesn't work for my vehicle, I decided to reinstall the original links. To my dismay, this problem persists. The rear bags will not inflate. I deflated the entire system by releasing one of the air lines on the front.
    After the vehicle became level through this process, I restarted the vehicle hoping the entire system would inflate. However, only the front bags would inflate. I tried pressing the raise vehicle button on the console which raised the front up even higher and the rears stayed the same.
    Now the front of the vehicle is at its highest position and won't come down and the rears do not operate. This is with the factory links installed. Previous to installing the lowering links, there was no issue with the system. I'm devastated because if to fix will cost thousands of dollars I'm done with the vehicle.
    Any advice would be helpful.

    How did you get the ball joint of the sensors arm? It’s plastic and the way you pull off the upper ball joint I can do it without any problem but I’m fearing the plastic sensor arm will break when turning it with that much force..

    • @aydinvideo
      @aydinvideo 10 лет назад +7

      No, look it up. Mercede ABC uses a hydraulic pump t 3000psi to pump fluid to the shocks and computers to control the flow of fluid when cornering to stiffen up the shocks for flat cornering without body roll. Not air, that's mercedes other, cheaper system found on the lower end cars, "airmatic" this is the top range "Magic body control".

    • @aydinvideo
      @aydinvideo 10 лет назад +3

      MOST Mercedes suspensiona ARE are- (Airmatic) My car is the AMG model with a hydraulic system, using a 2000psi pump and fluid that pressurized the shocks/struts. It uses 15 sensors and 3 computers to control the ride height (automatically lowers at speed, and can select 3 different ride heights via a button on the dash) and body roll / nose dive. It corners FLAT, in a thousandth of a second the shocks adjust to keep the body flat and stabile while cornering.. The moltiple profiles allow porsche 911 handling in the canyons, or press the comfort mode button and it ridels soft as a rolls royce. Look up mercedes/AMG "ABC" for very good technical videos that explain all the features much better... Honestly, it's the worlds most responsive and advanced suspension system.
