Rather than shaving down the tab, try heating it with a wallpaper gun and bending the tab out. That way if it's too loose, you can always reheat and push it back in further until you get it right.
I think if I have a spare Glock that isn't my carry gun, I would probably attached this thing on there. I'm pretty happy with my Microroni because it's an easy detachable thing unlike these other kits that basically are semi permanent
I also think the microroni is better. Primarily because the slide is encapsulated so you have very little risk of smacking night vison. It also is not that much more expensive either when you fully add all the parts to make the recover brace. The primary benefit of the recover is if you use their holster, otherwise I would go with a slinged microroni.
I love these! I think they are a great way to get from an intense situation until you can get to something bigger. I keep the brace in my backpack and I’m able to get my Glock 19/26 into it quickly. When a 26 is stabilized 125 yard shots are super easy. I use the holosun 507 w/acss
I’ve seen two people talking about using their index finger to activate a light. My problem with that is, if you’re scanning and using momentary on, if you see a target you may end up shooting into the dark because you had to take your finger off the switch and fire within a split second. I feel like it could become an issue for your trigger finger to have two jobs that are supposed to be done at the same time. Just my thoughts.
Love em. Bought one. Bought 2 more. If you have threaded barrels try the linear comps that are out there. They work and work well in my opinion. And is a better thing than a thread protector. It actually does something while your surpressor is in use on something else. Mid October they’re coming out with a rail for the right side that angles up and puts another rail up top for a micro red dot. Which allows you a more natural heads up feel. Can’t wait.

Not sure where else to post this but just a suggestion someone else made that i thought you guys might be interested in; replacing the screw with a thumb screw so that the pistol could be added to or removed from the brace in a pinch without a need for an allen wrench.
I like the small package it work well for training children and olded adults that have no firearm experience. I have the MCK . My 85 year old grandma love the MCK it the right size for her. She can’t hold a pistol or a 22 cal.rifle. She like the flashlight and can hit a 9 inch pie plate at 25 yards with a red dot sight.
I just picked one up, hadn't had a chance to run it yet, but all the reviews seem to be super negative or super positive. Mine will be used for LEO purposes. Looking forward to training and seeing what I think of it. One note is it does not work with a glock running a beaver tail backstrap. After sighting in the Vortex Viper and running it on some basic range stuff I'm a big fan. It's comfortable and stable. But this is going to be one of those products you either love or hate. I just noticed on Recovery's website they have a stock and cheek riser available. 🤔
Personally if I had that exact setup, I'd just get an extended slide stop and use that for reloads. I'm not afraid of damaging the optic. I have a few Holosuns and they are rock solid. I'm afraid of if I use the optic as a charging handle, I might fog it up or get crap on it from my hands and now my sight picture is obscured by crap that I put on it.
For me, if I needed a backpack gun that is smaller, my G19 is good enough if I throw the Micro-Roni on it but in a pretty small backpack that I carry around, my Scorpion and my G19 fits right in with a ton of mags and if I need a true backpack gun, I have an AR pistol with a LAW folder.
I bought the Recover Tactical and I didn’t like it so i sold it. It’s not practical to use. It looks cool, but that’s about it. I would not recommend anyone buying it, unless you have some kind of disability, maybe it would help. But IMO it serves not purpose and is hard to shoot with it on the firearm. Don’t waste your money.
Anyone who hates on this, probably hasn’t had to run around with a 7lb or more carbine. Or even a 7 pound paintball gun. To maximize your endurance you want to go as light as you can go. A pistol is ideal but a stock gives you PCC advantages. With that said, these glock chassis are the perfect solution for those scenarios. They are even lighter then a mp5k (4.5 lbs) by a good margin
Love my holosuns for the reticle. I see fuzzy commas, so it’s easier for me with them. I have the flux brace with the flashlight mag holder. It sucks in the place of a rifle or pcc but I can see how it could be better than a pistol in certain situations. Thanks!
They need to cant the hinge so that the brace folds up where it does bow, but sets lower when you fold it out. That way you can still use your iron sights without crunching up.
Looking at this, if I were say, back in college and I REALLY wanted something more substantial than my carry G19 and one would ask what if you don't have time to snap it into the Micro Roni chassis in a pinch, MAYBE this setup but I'd have to get another Glock and have that dedicated to this kit because I don't want to keep taking it on and off. And then just dump it into my backpack with my books and notes, MAYBE or just hide it in my laptop bag.
Good idea the use of the holster like safety. I use rt 2020 whit my 35sc , video on my channel, whit ur20 rail for optics (no mos) cr20 rest and stock pad. Good up to 50/60 meters

*Can they not just use a friction based holder that incorporates a simple magnet inside the sleeve to hold the additional magazine?* This way the magazine is held in between the force of friction and a magnet, which if done correctly it hold perfectly fine, under vibration and release easy with a simple tug.
I feel that if they just made the brace longer and fit lower on your shoulder it would be perfect, perfect in terms of shouldering a brace anyway, still will hurt a bit.
so could you do a close up of the brace hinge? i was thinking about buying it and modifying the brace to accept pic rail braces that arent made for 5 year olds
The only problem i have with this is that the trigger is not covered. If you carry chambered or tuck the gun away after you used it and haven´t cleared it, this is a snag hazard screaming for a negligent discharge. With the RONI Kits you have a frontgrip thats acts as a cover for the trigger if folded in. Because of the rail in front of the triggerguard the "trigger cover style holsters" will not fit either. I own the 20/20 myself but because of this flaw it´s just a range toy and i´ll never use it for something else. It´s a shame that they didn´t come with a solution to this problem. I only bought it instead of a RONI because it is the only Pistol-stock/brace kit, that is compatible with glocks that have a reddot mounted on the slide.
For sure. I was reading a report about a group of hikers that chased off a grizzly bear with .44 magnum pistols. 9 rounds were fired, 2 of them landed. There have been plenty of reports of people killing full sized grizzly bears with a 9mm. Its much more important that you actually hit your target, and this would help you put multiple rounds on target in a very short timeframe.
Mine is in the mail, I've read a few reviews saying it does not fit p80's... The trigger guard geometry is different, it's only got 3 points of contact with the Glock frame to the brace clamshell. Tf do I know, still waiting on mine. Got threaded barrel, and suppressor height irons also. Dip my toes, then go for a form 1 to build a can if I like the pdw aspect.
They now have a pic rail option that goes over the top for a rail mounted red dot. Also, I couldn’t get the mags out of the front holder to save my life so I had to shave down the tabs >:(
Just got the p80 in fde its cool for what it is forb99 bucks other then that if you grew up playing resident evel for ps1 back in the day .. different pewpew and different looking brace but childhood dream accomplished.....
Any source on the version for the larger frame glocks? I have been waiting for them to release for a while and can't find anything on the website. Thank you for the video.
I use a Strike Industries 'Rear Sight Mount For Glock' with the side charging handle installed. When using a Red Dot with a Pic rail it raises the optic considerably, offering a better sight picture. You don't have to dig your head down as far. An extra bonus is that it has built in rear sights that you can see through under the mounted optic. The side charging handle make it extremely easy to manipulate the slide.
Because at this point with the size of that thing and if money is no object, you could of gotten a nice TP9 with a brace or stock and suppress that and it'd be a purpose built subgun that's compact

That holster adapter/trigger guard with a pull tab is a really slick idea.
