Every Dark Souls game has a stagger mechanic. Sekiro's main innovations were making it more central to boss encounters, adding a bar so you can see it, and making parries add to it instead of just heavy attacks.
you can beat AC6 without using healing/rearming. Those features are for new players, but for older AC players like myself, I can definitely say that you can beat every mission with rank S with just your initial gear/ammo without healing once. I beat it thrice in this manner and I gotta say that this is much easier compared to previous Armored core titles.
I've played Armored core since the very first title and there has always been a degree of a stagger system, in earlier iterations of the franchise hard hitting weaponry would cause flinching, brutal repeated hits would completely break a cores stance and with well timed flurried hits you could essentially stun lock an AC until your clip or generator runs dry, only the heaviest mechs would avoid flinching and even so they can be outmaneuvered with some exceptions (Looking at you 00-ARETHA you absolute bastard) Personally I think a sekiro like stagger system is a welcome addition to the game, a new issue to manage during comabt while balancing clips, heat, energy and potentially primal armour or shield systems adds a new depth to combat that I can get behind. bosses with choreographed hits are not themselves a new addition to AC either every single enemy unit is telegraphed by design, MT's with controlled burst fire, bombers have an engagement distance, orb drones would always fire in controlled bursts but leave an opening, massive attacks from enemies and gigantic constructs were foreshadowed by your operator, though it's not quite the same as the telegraphing used in sekiro the soul's series it is very much similar in application and gameplay requiring you to modify your tactics to suit your foes. enemy AC's had signature attacks such as Fausts evasive vertical rocket flurries or black knights gliding shoulder cannon to pressure you both from AC2, white glint in AC4A loved her overred charges while emptying the clip, reitterpalasch would blast her shoulder beamcannon and close with her sword into the explosion while you were blinded, even as far back as Armored core:master of arena "Nineballer" would diagonal strafe towards you battering with a plasma pistol before closing with a blade. and then there is 00-ARETHA as mentioned earlier a "mutant NEXT" developed by rayleonard capable of boosts of speed comparable to teleportation generally followed by a taste of it's massive plasma cannon or QUADRUPLE chainguns...usually both. I believe that the people complaining about the changes to Armored cores upcoming latest addition to the franchise are feeling the effects of nostalgia being challenged without considering the fact that every single new title added something new, removed something old or changed a pre-existing system entirely... just look at AC4A compared to AC5 it's a bloody night and day difference. personally I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of Rubicon

As long as the ranged combat still feels good and satisfying I am fine with any of the speculated changes to Armored Core 6. For Christ's sakes look at the environments we will be fighting in! Armored Core's biggest drawback traditionally were the bland level design.
For the AC fans to expect the newest AC game in almost a decade is going to play exactly the same as it was designed a decade ago is not only asinine but its completely out of touch with how video games are designed. Games are going to change and evolve over time. It's only natural for AC6 to include some souls-like elements because the dev studio has been working on souls games for the last decade and has perfected those mechanics. Those up and arms about this decision for AC6 to have souls-like mechanics need to take a breath and wait until the game comes out to see for themselves if this game is worth their money. For me I trust in FromSoft capabilities as a dev studio to deliver and introduce a new armored core that veterans and newcomers can enjoy

glad you could confirm that armored core 6 will have some armored core elements, was worried that they would just release dark souls 3 with a different name
I think what they complaint is the part where..... this game in my perspective, it looks more like a 3rd person shooter, and that being the hard lock (as if it looks like an aimbot)... though it already exists since AC4, though I can see a problem for this in a pvp side (if ECM jammers where to be exist in AC6 then it could be 50/50 in pvp)

Because not everyone likes souls games, quite a concept I know!
@@metaloverlord7465except the missiles can multi target and rockets are manual aim unlike souls games
Starfield is bigger then elden turn sekiro dark mecha core 4 darksouls 3 darksouls 2 bloodborne demons souls all combined
...........Sekiro had some of the best combat......of just about any fucking game I ever played. Incorporating Sekiro elements into virtually anything could only be good. As long as the ranged combat still feels good and satisfying I am fine with any of the speculated changes to Armored Core 6.
For Christ's sakes look at the environments we will be fighting in! Armored Core's biggest drawback traditionally were the bland level design.
Mechiro
10/10 That’s pretty clever. lol
Stagger without parry makes sekiro-like? If you don't call "lies of p" a sekiro-like then we're gonna have to talk :)
if ac6 is like sekiro, then ac6 is like tenchu and every other game that came before. dark souls is zelda because of the lock on, and potions.
and yes sekiro is a tenchu wanabee.
Better to be like Sekiro thej souls these days
Sekiro Core Ring: fires of Mario Zelda. 😂
glad you could confirm that armored core 6 will have some armored core elements, was worried that they would just release dark souls 3 with a different name
Hot take: People should play the game before criticizing how necessary the new additions to the game are.
That's not hot take, that's just how it should be
At the least see full on gameplay. So far I'm not seeing any cause for concern
@@warriorfire8103 But why be concerned at all? Just seems pointless. I trust From to deliver a great mech experience.
bruh imagine calling this a sekiro like thanks to one gauge... trashy clickbait
😍
I mean obviously it's a F tier channel that nobody cares about...
@@MadLuigiGottem! 😂
Clickbait
Irony is dead 😭
@@MadLuigi there is no irony. Its just clickbait. Armored core will be nothing like sekiro. You just hoped to bait the sekiro stans
