Kelly, I vacationed in Scotland several years ago when I was living in Dallas. You will not be ready for the "kind" of cold you feel in Scotland. Thin layering is your friend. Take a base layer bottom and top; pack cashmere sweaters; take a cap/hat/headband that covers your ears from the wind. I visited the official Highland Games where the Queen gave the presentations--magical. I accidentally visited Stirling which ended up being one of the most romantic places I have ever been. Your husband will love it due to the historical battle there. Enjoy!

I’m going in September! I’ve started my capsule and I have a cashmere zipper hoodie. The research I’ve done says to expect an average of low to mid 60s Fahrenheit!
@@Margaretcs0103 That is the deceiving part. Their 60's being close to the ocean with the wind is different from most US 60. You need to trust me on this.
Exactly! I took thin layers with my cashmere sweaters, and then you need to top it with some thing that is waterproof! Also, windproof! I had a wonderful time, and I was so glad I packed layers that all interchanged with each other.
@@cathylehman7538 I’m definitely taking a hooded trench coat also! Hats look awful on me and they never fit my freakishly small head but I think I’ll bring earmuffs!
#24 & #25 flat sandals are cute but have zero arch support which is imperative for many of us. To remedy this, I highly recommend Dr. Scholl's CLEAR arch support adhesives. They provide substantial support, stay in place, and are inconspicuous. Game changer for me as it has really expanded my sandal options, including dressy ones. Happy travels everyone!

@@theresacarter1033 Vionics are also my favorites! Just bought another pair of sneakers last week. Long ago I realized that Vionics are a good value and not as pricey as they seem. In the long run, they last almost twice as long as lesser-quality shoes while protecting my feet better. Regarding fashion sandals - Vionic often does not have what I am looking for, so the clear arch support inserts in the kinds of sandals shown in the video can get me through a luncheon, movie, and such outings with relative comfort. @gardenhappy4 Awesome, this is great news! I just can't do the flats. Yes, vionic shoes do last very well. I have too many of them, but as you, it's hard to get the cute, up dated ones you might want. They have gotten much better over the years. Have a great day! T'rese 😃

The air tags are a really great idea. When my daughter and I went to Ireland the first time, American Airlines (the worst) lost our luggage due to a flight delay that caused a missed connection. It took hours on the phone to figure out where it was despite the claim check number in my hand. Aer Lingus finally got to the bottom of it for me, and they weren’t even the ones who lost it! An air tag might have really helped.
Same happened to us when in Scotland. Luggage was lost for days. Ended up in our original layover destination after our plane ran late and they had to change our flight. We had thought about air tags before our trip but definitely got them after. Will be buying some for our son and wife who are going to Spain in a few months.
ALL airlines lose luggage.
@@bcplanowhat’s the purpose of this comment? Do you work for American Airlines? Regardless, their customer service is terrible. When I go to Europe I don’t fly them anymore.

I am glad that you still talk about the Tory Burch miller sandals because they are so comfortable but I have heard from several no maybe about 3-4 fashion people saying these are out of style!! I definitely didn’t get rid of them and still wear them!! I try to stay up to date but not at the expense of comfort!!
You can put those air tags into the in soles of shoes. Might be great for your kids shoes. PS I love travel essential videos and travel capsule wardrobe videos. You have some fun picks for travel.
Love my Tory Burch miller sandals and I have 8 pairs - but no way could I wear these to a theme park. There is barely any support. I love them for travel to wear to dinner because they can be dressed up or down. I would never recommend these as shoes for zero foot pain if you need actual arch support.

Agreed. Love them as well, but they will not serve you well in Scotland due to weather and uneven walking surfaces.

I love your videos! I just bought an amazing black chevron travel backpack with gold zippers on amazon that reminded me a of a handbag you showed in a previous video.
Really good video. The only thing that you could consider adding is to talk a bit more about how the clothes items fit you. It helps to know if you should consider sizing up or down. If the item is a generous fit or on the slim size etc.
