I haven’t heard this song in years. It definitely reminds me of how my Jesus saved me from the darkness, and how His grace will always be the most beautiful thing to me.
I love how a lot of worship songs are written as love songs. Because when you think about it, the Bible really is the greatest love story of all time penned across thousands of years by many authors with the same repeating theme on every page. God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son to redeem mankind, who had fallen into darkeness. It is also nice to think of my husband as I hear these lyrics and be constantly reminded of how selfless he is.

I normally listen to this 'beautiful, beautiful' song after midnight. No need to mention the great trouble I encounter whenever I attempt a singalong because the twists and turns in Francesca's trained and sonorous voice leave me completely devastated.
Francesca has a GOD-given gift of a voice and like the biblical servant with his master's talent, I believe Francesca is making maximum use of her gift hopefully to the satisfaction of the GREAT ONE.

In fact, I was talking to my grandpa and he was telling me about what the definition of love is, and a girl who he knew had told him that love is "Caring more about what happens to someone than what happens to yourself." God cares more about what happens to me than what happens to Him? It's true, although very hard to believe. I listen to this song and I don't think of it as "religious" I think of it as me expressing how much God broke through to me and saved me :) Just listening to the lyrics tells me exactly what God had done for me-it says love, mercy, grace and that's what God is..so how to relate that to anything else on earth except a Creator.

I LOVE your channel name! Yes, Francesca Battistelli does have a wonderful voice! If you are still struggling with selfharm, etc., may I suggest looking up "A reign of love" by William Strutt on google images. I get pretty overwhelmed by stuff in the world, too and get a lot of encouragement from that painting, which is inspired by Isaiah 11. Also, look up "John Harper Titanic Hero" on youtube. That is an incredible true story that does not get a lot of attention. It straight up should have been in the movie! God Bless!
