They came over and spoke French with us, with one of them not speaking a syllable of English. His name was Christyan. Always I will remember him with this song playing in the background. We stayed in contact through letters (this was in 1981-1982) and I wanted to see him again so much that I perfected my French just for him. Alas, still he lives in Toulouse and I'd do anything to see him again and serenade him with this song. Thank you for the beautiful song and memories, David Gates!
