So we watch a video of you saying you don't like cigars at all, and the next recommended video is you showing of a decent size collection. I guess the hobby worked out after all...
that is a fantastic little collection.. I have enjoyed a number of cigars, but never jumped in with both feet and bought a humidor and collected them like this. you make it look very tempting.. thanks for sharing.
Jeff, just a little tip, when storing such high end cigars you really want to try and keep the humidity between 65% and 70% no higher and for the temp, well below 70 degrees, i almost always have my cigars at 64 degrees so no mold will grow in the stick. Just a few tips, wouldnt want such great sticks going bad! Take care, great vids!
I really like how you tried it in 2010, didn't like it, and made a video. Then changed your mind and now have an impressive collection of cigars in 3 very nice humidors, and made a video on it in 2014. Your view on cigars changed and its great how you talked about them in the 2014 video very fondly where as in this video you didn't really like them. And btw I really like your videos, you have a great narration voice, I wish you made more.
Just a little FYI. The higher end Padrons particularly the 26s and FRs really don't age well. They go backwards actually. Not an opinion but there is a fairly scientific reason for it. Different makers have different views on processing tobacco. Padron is one who believes in fermenting and aging the raw materials to the max before rolling the cigars. As such they are really made to be smoked now and be at their best. The tobacco has nowhere to go. Other blenders - Pete Johnson of Tatuaje comes to mind, likes to process the tobacco less to give it room to age after rolling. The Cubans are another example of this philosophy. Though there is a fine line between young tobacco and green tobacco and lately a lot of what comes out of Cuba is green and will never improve no matter how much it's aged. An inadequately fermented cigar will always be that. Anyway, the higher end Padrons won't change much at all for the first year or two and after that they will just slowly lose their strength and spice which is of course what makes them so great to begin with. The lower end Padron x-0000 series have fillers which are less processed and those do age fairly well IMO but only for maybe 3 years or so. In that time they will put out the last of that lingering ammonia and develop a bit more, especially the maduros. 2-3 years or so sort of turns those into more like the 64s but not flavor wise so much. Different seed varietals for the wrappers. So just a heads up. Smoke the 26s when you have them. One of my all time favs and in my daily rotation. Hate to see you age them thinking they will improve and end up being pretty disappointed especially given that they aren't cheap.
You should give the Boveda humidity packs a try. Just toss a couple in your desktop humidor and you're all set for about three months. Your humidity levels will remain constant at what ever level packs you have. I use the 69's.
I've hooked quite a few people with the Drew estate cafe con leche! Never really had anyone dislike it! Also one of my favorites from him. Love padron too. I try to keep a couple 80 years around and some opus x for when I want something stout! Nice collection and nice humis!
Jeff, Humidity tends to be higher at the bottom of an open sort of humidor (i.e., no full tray blocking, say, a typical desktop flip top). Oliva Grand Maduro! Those aged spectacularly! The standard line Padrons age very nicely too, approaching the 1964 series in flavor profile. Your humidor is perfect for long term aging. 70-ish humidity with plenty of air space.
This is the most enjoyment I've had watching RUclips in awhile, thanks! Your sense of humor is appreciated. Paragig'em.....RyJ "Real". You're killng me Smalls!
Great collection there. I just started ordering form Cigars International and their selection is amazing... Ghurka is my favorite right now, haven't had one yet that I don't truly love! Thanks for sharing though. I am looking for some new brands to try, gonna be placing an order soon...
Nice collection of cigars. Will have to try a few of yours. A couple of my favorite brands are CAO and Don Diego. Every once in awhile I'll grab an Acid or a Makers Mark cigar, not bad for a cheaper smoke. Smoking cigars should definitely be an experience to be enjoyed while sitting with a favorite bourbon or scotch.
As a possible future video I think there are quite a few subscribers (including myself) interested in seeing your pipe/pipe tobacco collection when you get some time. Nice vids Jeff!
I don't know of it was mentioned yet or not but your humidity is kinda high, especially for the temp you have them in. You wouldn't want beetles ruining those padrons!
Some of my favorites as well one I didn't see that I enjoy is any San Cristobal cigar they are wonderful and have a unique profile I also didn't see any cAo cigars in there are u not a fan?
Rocky Patel makes great cigars! I am interested to hear what you think about the 262s. I was not a fan. Prince Island= awesome! I have never had a Padrone. I have always wanted to try one, but never had the chance...and Yay you have a Kahlua! Cults are pretty good. I've had a few of those around the campfire. Great video!
tumato sacallama The Dominican Cohiba cigars are owned by General Cigar Co in the states. They have no affiliation in any way with the cuban Cohiba cigars. Indeed it is expensive to get them in the states however, be sure to get them from reputable dealers or else you're buying expensive fakes. Also, Primo humidity level for an even burn and minimal harshness is 63-67% and anything above 73-75 degrees for your temperature is beatle city waiting to happen.
Actually I have smoked some Cuban cigars not too long ago in Mexico and I can tell by the full flavor they were real so they are still producing cigars It is just the U.S. that doesn't want to lift the embargo., when I went to Cancun Mexico I did purchase some fake ones I could tell by the taste Mexican tobacco. They were not bad but definitely not Cuban.
opusxpn Cubans were never claimed to be out of production entirely. Just not available for legal purchase in the United States however via the use of some cigar companies that are located out of the states, you can have them shipped into the USA. Cuban sales are booming in many other countries, regardless of incredibly high tobacco taxes throughout many other countries. Mexican tobacco is indeed different from Cuban tobacco but the fullness of flavor does not legitimize the cuban. Many fakes are not fakes in the manner of a garbage cigar, but more so as in the creation of non legitimate bands and packaging, and then replacing it on cheaper noncuban cigars. There are many noncuban cigars that are full body (flavor/complexity). Padron Anniversary 1964 or 1926 lines are good examples. However, those who try to fake cubans will often buy a cheaper cigar such as a 5 Vegas or a factory second line and then relable it with the knockoff bands of a cuban.
Im mostly into Nicaraguan tobacco. Perdomos are my fav. Lot 29s is a nice everyday cigar if you age them. Cigar intl has or has a deal of fresh rolled torpedos 50 count thats is great. Once again need to age... im a sucker for box pressed or cedar wrapped cigars. Also like boutique cigars like Ghurkas
I have a question. I've been using your humidifier beads in a panty hose thing and they work great. But does white powder come out of them usually? All my cigars are in cellophane so I'm not worried. just curious, thanks!
So I let my cigars sit in the humidor for about 3 1/2 months, with the proper humidity and such. Well I smoked a few of them and they were good, definitely good but a few seemed weak. Especially the acid blondie belicosa. Is this because they were not wrapped and the flavor and oils may have leaked out? Or... what?
Fuente Opus X Fuente Fuente one of my favorite cigars of all time. You talking about an aged cigar with complex nice full flavor. Just like a nice aged wine, you can't believe when you smoking it how many flavors it throws at you. Try one if you have not, you won't be sorry.
Samuel Kopp Everything is wrong there, the dots the COHIBA mark and the Havana Cuba font and location on yellow band, It reminds old COHIBA bands but only reminds it. It is a very popular fake band. For more info i woul offer to look here www.cubancigarwebsite.com/brand.aspx?brand=Cohiba and Google fake COHIBA
+AvidGameer 5 pack is also fake. Cubans never come in glass top or total blanco plastic boxes or what ever. Only dress boxes. Cabinet box. Or cardbord. Its always the same 😜 know a guy who knows one.. And than you dont have cohibas but chicita bananas
+Pawel Janaszek I noticed all of that right away too and way about to say something when I saw this comment....sadly Cohiba Cubans are faked more then you see real ones :(
i bought my cigars with cellophane on them and other just came in plastic. should i remove the plastic and should i remove the cellophane when placing in humidor?
I haven't smoked in almost a year because of health problems (not caused by smoking but smoking could be bad for it). I had two favorites: La Aroma de Cuba in Rothschild, and the Oliva Serie G. I will begin smoking again one day and these will be the first I get.
Hi. cutlerylover I have a question. It was about a year for the first time a cigar. Although it is a cigar store in a variety of Humidor, Or will have no problem with fragrance even keep it peeled off the cellophane? Thanks.
Sorry bro but the Cubans are fake. Look at the squares above the Cohiba and you'll see that for one, they're cut by the line, and two, there should be only three perfect squares.I learned the hard way too.
+Dog Lover112233 Yes you are correct. I noticed the same thing. Its unfortunate how many fakes are out there. The person he traded with probably didn't know either!
See it's people like yourself that is love to meet in person that say dumb shit like so what ! So what huh?? Would you like to smoke something that's a fake not knowing what fillers they put in it!? And furthermore, is this what I have time for? I saw something while watching the video that I commented on and that's too much time spent on the Internet? Conversely I could say the same thing about your uneducated ass as to comment on what I had to say. If I had a fake cigar and did not know it, I'd love for someone else to kindly point it out to me. You're a douch bag!!!

Yes if you are rich you can buy this stuff.... Many humidors lol.. I just bought a nice small humidor 30 Cigars size or so. Dont need so much. yes :). and Analogue Humify tester is good
I HATE to tell you this but the Cohiba you have is not a real cuban. I know because i had this happen to me as well. If you do a little research you will find the the real cubans have 3 dots above you Cohiba. I got mine in mexico and brought it back to my local smoke shop and had the bomb dropped on me. However, that being said, It was still one of the best smokes i have had in a long time so dont feel too bad about it.

for beginners I'd recommend baccarat honestly a great cigar for only about six or seven bucks nice smooth creamy and mild not to strong which for beginners could be a turn off
I wanted to gag looking at that "Cohiba" just get rid of that thing the older bands only have 3 dots not 4 and man that thing has black spots all over it and the wrapper looks like it's falling apart just throw it out before it ruins the rest of your cigars
had to stop you right there.....at 3:26. cuban cohiba's have 3 squares on the band. ive been to cuba more than once and learned this the hard way. you have a fake cuban. also its pronounced "Paradime" your paradigm i mean....as in paradime shift ahead. but i dig the shit out of your humidors. and nice collection of sticks.
So we watch a video of you saying you don't like cigars at all, and the next recommended video is you showing of a decent size collection. I guess the hobby worked out after all...

One of the worst Fakes I've seen at that. What happened to the cap?

That's a good looking humidor bro. Lots of Padrons. Good stuff. Im glad you keep on smoking.

Glad to see you still have those Monte Cristos! Too bad you didn't like them more!
Thank you for the cigars you are the best channel on RUclips

I don't know of it was mentioned yet or not but your humidity is kinda high, especially for the temp you have them in. You wouldn't want beetles ruining those padrons!
What's with the potatoe?
OK Dan Quayle!
Was looking forward to this, great video man.
Cool collection. Just started into it myself.
I really miss your balisong videos! You should do more of them! Like flipping tutorials and such
Nice collection. Buy, who was that snoring in the background?
I have that same vertical humidor that was the first humidor you showed off. It leaks like CRAZY. I need to do some work to make it useable.
Democrats are Fascists
Just use tupperware (tupperdore) or a cooler (coolerdore). Make sure to put some boveda packs in them
love Cigars Jeff
try Delicioso bro there awesome, great video " liked"
theARMORYchannel they're
Yo my man those Cohibas are BOGUS

That's a very nice collection, has me thinking what to smoke next, I do like my Dominicans, especially Davidoffs and a nice Xikar!
I don't smoke or anything mainly because I'm only 16 but I enjoy like seeing pipes and cigars, I don't know they're just fancy haha
Good video! You mentioned your friend Cajun Blaze. Is he OK, or did he retire from posting on youtube? Miss his vids.
Nice video. Love the humidor
Those paradigms aren't called "paradigems," Jeff. They're pronounced "pair-a-dimes." The g is silent! Haha nice video
I thought "Pair-AH-DIG-em" sounded funny. LOL.
I have seen a lot of counterfeits believe it or not. Nice collection
Danm nice collection, you got some nice ones in there:-)
Great collection, the Cohiba is unfortunately fake, unless it is like 15 years old.
they are also made in Dominican republic for people in the states. you can still get Cubans it the states for an expensive price.

It shouldn't
Some white powder came out of mine after a while.
when i bought the bag of beads, i jus poured it directly in the hoses.
Story time with a cigar?
1+ on this! Loved those video's really interesting and chill.

Cool. Can you tell us about the starfish?
That COHIBA on top shelf is 100% FAKE also 5pack doesn't look genuine too ...sorry man
The way "Habana, Cuba" looks bold faced makes me think theyre fake. Cohiba is the number one most faked cigar in the world.
Samuel Kopp Everything is wrong there, the dots the COHIBA mark and the Havana Cuba font and location on yellow band, It reminds old COHIBA bands but only reminds it. It is a very popular fake band. more cigar videos please
You ever heard or tried an undercrown? Had a friend recommend them too me and it was great.
Hey that's a nice humidor where did you get it bro very nice video does it hold the humidity good
Kahlua was the first cigar i ever smoked, god i wish they would come back with them.
Padron RULZ!!! :) My fav brand as well. Awesome people too if you've ever had any interaction with them. Quality family from a great cigar tradition.
Hey you need to get your hands on a debonaire. I was given one for my birthday and regret smoking it cause i cant find them anywhere locally.
nice collection, but i think the cigar is pronounced paradime( even though its spelled paradigm?
Nice humidor Jeff!
By the way, a double L in Spanish is pronounced like a Y. So it would be 'Meh Dah Yas'.
He also said 'paradiggum' when reading 'paradigm'
i bought my cigars with cellophane on them and other just came in plastic. should i remove the plastic and should i remove the cellophane when placing in humidor?
Cohiba is clearly fake, just look at the distance between the "COHIBA" lettering and the "Habana, Cuba" lettering. Not even a good fake.
what's with the stone like object in the boxes? is that to regulate humidity or just a decorative?
I haven't smoked in almost a year because of health problems (not caused by smoking but smoking could be bad for it). I had two favorites: La Aroma de Cuba in Rothschild, and the Oliva Serie G. I will begin smoking again one day and these will be the first I get.
I take it the cigar hobby ended up being a pretty good hobby?
you don't spend money on cigars, you trade. What items do you trade? You didn't spend money on the trade items?
Hi. cutlerylover
I have a question.
It was about a year for the first time a cigar.
Although it is a cigar store in a variety of Humidor,
Or will have no problem with fragrance even keep it peeled off the cellophane?
Thanks.
you should try a La Flor Dominicana double ligero. it is an excellent cigar or try any other La Flor Dominicana
Just to let everyone know, the tabak especial is the same blend as the Kahluas, essentially the same cigar with a different name.
I don't know much about cigars and I was wondering how long do they last in a humidor without going bad?
They can last over a hundred years if u keep the humidor humid.
MC'Cubans

If I had a fake cigar and did not know it, I'd love for someone else to kindly point it out to me.
You're a douch bag!!!
Brother with all die respect I could care less about what you own or where you work. The fact of the matter is this; the Cubans are fake! Period
Why you went off on a tangent about me commenting to help a fellow cigar lover is beyond my realm of understanding why people pick such tidious things to complain about.
And lastly, I was in the Marine Corps for seven years, a year of the being stationed in Cuba. I've seen real ones there and fake ones so please don't assume that because you own a cigar shop that others don't have a right to comment on cigars of any brand. And contrary to your belief I am happy for you and wish you the best lunch with your business.
So my friend can we please be done with this child like debate??
Sorry for the grammatical errors. I'm on an iPhone and can't see too well in the building I'm in right now.
Good luck, not lunch with your business.
Yes if you are rich you can buy this stuff.... Many humidors lol.. I just bought a nice small humidor 30 Cigars size or so. Dont need so much. yes :). and Analogue Humify tester is good
if the humidity is not right how do you change it ?
im new to all this just wondering how much these things cost? ;p like whats considered expensive and cheap
Nice collection.
I also love those 64' Padrons for me theyre a little expensive, but always worth it. . RPdecades are also amazing.
Noob'ish question: why do you keep plastic/ metal case packed cigars in humidor? doesn't it defeats purpose of humidor?
Great stuff man
is it legal in states to have cohiba? just wondering i heard somewhere in the states you cant have them
how do you keep the temperature inside the humidor constant?
I HATE to tell you this but the Cohiba you have is not a real cuban. I know because i had this happen to me as well. If you do a little research you will find the the real cubans have 3 dots above you Cohiba. I got mine in mexico and brought it back to my local smoke shop and had the bomb dropped on me. However, that being said, It was still one of the best smokes i have had in a long time so dont feel too bad about it.
Have you ever watched George Carlin's take on Cigars?
Nice selection!
Okay we get it already, "you don't buy cigars". How many times ya got say this?
My grandpa always just kept hid cigars in the fridge. Is that ok to do?
Definitely not. Too cold and too dry. The optimal conditions for storing cigars are 70/70. 70 degrees F and 70% humidity
Thank you
Was that a half a onion in the bottom tray in the first box?
Is it weird that I want to smoke a cigar but I can't because I'm under age
+kelvin zhou not really
UK 18 plus usa 18 plus
awsome Collection :)
That Cohiba label looks like someone printed it with a decade old £50 inkjet printer and cut it with little kids scissors
where do u trade cigars at?
85% of the time when you encounter a in even burn it's from improper lighting. Get yourself a good triple torch and take your time lighting it. The cigar should never come in contact with the flame. I wrote this while enjoying a Romeo y Juliet 1875
Nice Humidor Cabinet, some great cigars
The Cohibas look fake, Cubans don't come in cellophane packaging.
Overall very nice collection !
What's that big white thing at the very bottom?
Do you trade bad or average cigars for good ones? How?
Please can you show us all of your pipe stuff. :D
is that your pet rock on the bottom shelf?
If the cigars are too ruined to be smoked on their own you could always turn then into some pretty good pipe tobacco.
Ended up smoking an Upman Magnum 46, your a bad influence Mr. Cuts.
for beginners I'd recommend baccarat honestly a great cigar for only about six or seven bucks nice smooth creamy and mild not to strong which for beginners could be a turn off
I wanted to gag looking at that "Cohiba" just get rid of that thing the older bands only have 3 dots not 4 and man that thing has black spots all over it and the wrapper looks like it's falling apart just throw it out before it ruins the rest of your cigars
Jeff please do a cigar update
had to stop you right there.....at 3:26.
cuban cohiba's have 3 squares on the band. ive been to cuba more than once and learned this the hard way. you have a fake cuban. also its pronounced "Paradime" your paradigm i mean....as in paradime shift ahead.
but i dig the shit out of your humidors. and nice collection of sticks.
