Smokey tofu 'bacon':
250g thinly sliced tofu
2 tbsp bbq sauce
1 tbsp maple syrup
splash of liquid smoke (approx 1/2 tsp)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
1. Mix all sauce ingredients together in a bowl
2. Add thinly sliced tofu pieces to the bowl, coat well in sauce and transfer to an air fryer, a lined baking tray or a frying pan
3. Cook/fry until lightly crispy (cooking time will vary depending on way of cooking)
10 mins - air fryer
20-25 mins - oven
5 minutes each side - frying pan
Creamy miso noodle soup:
Broth:
1 tbsp olive oil
1 brown onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
100g corn kernels, drained and rinsed
2 tsp white miso paste
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 cup water
1 - 1.5 cups oat milk (depending on how salty you want the broth)
1 tsp vegan chicken stock powder
To serve:
fried asian greens, broccoli and/or puffed tofu
sesame oil and/or chilli oil
cooked ramen noodles

Amanda, it’s always so good to watch one of your videos. I whole heartedly feel you on the back and forth of depression and trying to better and the weight of the surgery which feels like it reorganizes your insides - body, mind and soul. Be kind to yourself. And it sounds like your bf is great support. I let go of working out and inside started yoga and somatic stretching. It’s helped me connect with my body again. And it feels great to move in a way that doesn’t feel super high energy or impact. But still the days where my bed and heating pad are all I want happen too. You’ll find your own way and balance 💜

Taylor Jenkins Reid has also some nice reads and if you like spicy 🌶 stuff, then treat yourself to The Blindfold Club. Also Fourth Wing is an amazing read. I'm not into fantasy, but this is like Hunger Games meets Fifty Shades Of Grey, haha.

I actually had no idea blonde was not your natural color (I haven't though about it much though as it just looked pretty natural) but you look absolutely FANTASTIC in a darker hairstyle!
It’s a lot of stress and a lot of stress women put on themselves to be prepared, be well, feel good etc. sounds like you’re burned out so the spark dims but just give urself grace. It will all be ok
Wild is actually one of the nicest partners any influencer can cooperate with - they are truly doing something game-changing in terms of sustainability! I've also seen they recently launched a lip balm which is pretty wild (pun intended :D)
Only part way though but had to comment congratulations on being approved for your new place! 🎉🎉 it is so tough right now to find a place to live with so many people looking and also the affordability.
So happy for you!!! Yay! No matter what happens over the next month or so before your move just stay present and do whatever you can in the moment (try not to let future thoughts add stress to your life).

I am not sure if you read books with "magic" in them but have you read Sangu Mandannas book "The very secret society of irregular witches"? TJ Klunes book "The house in the cerulian sea"? Warm,qute love stories like "The dead romantics" by Ashley Poston? "The flat share" by Beth oleary? So happy and excited for your move,yay!!!

Paying rent is like throwing money out the window. I had my own place by the time I was your age. Previously I lived in a 2-room apartment and paying very little in rent. I lived there 5 years, and I saved money for a downpayment on a place. You don't have to buy a huge house. You can start small, then when you pay that off, you can upgrade. Otherwise, you are going to be paying an ever-increasing rent, and you will have nothing. Just my advice.
That’s really nice that you could afford that and do that for yourself but I didn’t ask for advice.
You also don’t know the financial situation I’m in, how much I earn or how much my rent/cost of living is. Please think before you next comment on this to another stranger.
Oh, and I don’t and won’t ‘have nothing’ - I have a loving partner, roof over my head, beautiful family, employment to make ends meet, wonderful friends and my health.
