    I think you're one of the rare person who has well understood the Elliott's Smith music

      i mean he forgot a lot of chords in this version, but its pretty fire

    I used to think of chords as solid, bold, and complete sounds.
    The guitarist Eric Johnson's playing taught me that chords are composed of simultaneous melodies, each note on it's track, running alongside others in parallel.
    Your playing has taught me that chords are the echoes of dancers. Tumultuous and fleeting as their motion may be, they give, take, and compliment beautifully, as to make some ineffable whole.
    Thank you for sharing.

    My all-time favorite break up song. Basically any Elliott Smith song will work though.
    I love all your Smith covers, it gives them such a different energy while still maintaining the same emotion.

      @@heavypiano holy cow, dude. I didn't even knew that was a service that existed. I sent them a request, and they're gonna let me know how much it'll cost. Let's pray it'll be super cheap haha. I'll let you know how it goes if I do it, maybe you can post the link in the description amd future viewers can have free access!

      @@heavypiano Ok, the price they gave me wasn't cheap. I'm gonna try learning it from watching your video but maybe I'll cave...
      Your playing is amazing. I've been playing for a few months (although I had some lessons as a child) and I am simply in awe of RUclipsrs like you who can make their own gorgeous arrangements from a song. How does that process work? Does it help to know music theory? How long does it take? Do you write it down, or just memorize it? Or is it more like improvising on camera?

    • @heavypiano
      @heavypiano  4 года назад +1

      @@harlequingurls879 Thanks for your compliments! I usually learn songs by ear, get the basic chords and melody as well as song structure memorized, then start experimenting with rhythms and styles. After practicing a bit I'll stick a camera up and record some takes until I feel like I capture the feeling or energy of the song in a way that makes sense to me. For some reason I thought I had already recorded a tutorial for Miss Misery, but I hadn't yet! I'll start working on that here in a bit and I hope you might find it helpful. Take care!
