I love how even though we, as a species, have not yet broken the light speed barrier, but if we ever do we have already decided to call it "Warp". That is the sheer impact of Star Trek.
I’d love to actually see a warp capable craft built by us with our own tech “not alien tech assuming that exists” and see the ship successfully warp to Proxima Centauri and back within my own lifetime. That would be Awesome. But I fear this might not happen.
I’d be interested in seeing a video discussing all the different timelines that have been created / encountered / undone from the Prime universe’s perspective
Don’t forget the great bit of dialogue from stargate SG1 when they launch the Prometheus humanities first starship. Jack and Carter had conversation about calling it “enterprise” to which carter said you can’t call it that implying and almost winking it’s to do with copyright laws.
What I always thought was odd about him saying this was that Jack wasn't a fan of sci-fi seeing how it's been his day job for a while at that point. He famously mentions that he never saw Star wars until Tilc showed it to him.
There was mention of another Enterprise in the 32nd century in an episode of Discovery but we never got to see it visually. My personal favorite is is the Enterprise F (Odyssey Class).
Another USN-Star Trek crossover... The first captain of USS Zumwalt was named James Kirk. And there is a signed photo and letter from William Shatner somewhere on the ship. Also, the real life James Kirk is now a retired admiral. :)
“Well, this is a new ship, but she's got the right name. Now you remember that you hear? You treat her like a lady, and she'll always bring you home.” - Admiral Leonard McCoy, Encounter at Farpoint, about my favourite Enterprise, NCC-1701-D
I love this video. You are doing great work with editing your video. I don't know why, but my favourite spaceship is Voyager (maybe because of the design and overall look). It's half of January, and I was a littlebitbusy. I wish you a fantastic new year.
Hey,Tyler, Tyler here, drinking yet again. I just wanted to say: Thank you, Also, its pronounced BOW-Ba-ow. Bow. Not bow, like longBow. Bow, like broken bow.
Tell us more about the Star Wars races, the Guardians of the Galaxy races, the Justice League races, the Valerian races, and the Thousand Planets races.
My favorite Enterprise is the Constitution refit of the movies; it's such a beautiful design! I do like those Ambassador-class ships though... The one I'd prefer to serve on however is probably either the 1701-D or the NX-01, in that order most likely.
Ah yes! The flagship of the Federation and one of the most famous ships names in history., Probably my favorite ship is the NX-01. I love that ship design and it's crew.
I'm going to catch flack for this but my favorite, and the ship I would most prefere to serve on is the NX-01. Before or after the refit. Being one of earth's first great explorer's, or a veteran of the Romulan war wouldn't matter to me. Just the opportunity of "making history with every lightyear" would be amazing.
You are the best Tyler, your voice is silky smooth. I am surprised you arent doing voice over work. Your videos are great, tins of info, delivered in a concise manner. Great work bud. Thank you.
I`m partially triggered when ENT-J was compared to those episodes😀 I like the design, I want to see it in action, more than ENt-G or anything from Discovery 31st century ships. The fact they altered the future doesn`t mean this flagship won`t appear. Since we take the fact that most ships look the same in Mirror and other Universes for granted, then why not
This past summer I read a book about the Battle of Valcour Island on Lake Champlain in the 1770s. The Americans captured a British ship and rechristened her USS Enterprise. She served as a medical ship in the first American navy built by Benedict Arnold 🇺🇸
The Enterprise NCC-1701 Refit is my favorite. I saw Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan as a kid and that pretty much did it for me. Enterprise NCC-1701-E is second and I kinda dig Enterprise NCC-1701-G.
Tyler, where is your TNMT Star Trek Action figures from 1994. My wife got me "Captain" Leonardo in original package for Christmas and I was blown away these existed. I was a kid in the 90's never even heard of them before. You got any? If not check them out they are hilarious and cool.
I enjoy your videos. I actually enjoyed the Enterprise series more than any of the other spin-offs of the original series on broadcast (FREE) TV. Voyager would be a close second.
I don't mean this is a bad way because you do so many amazing videos but I'm surprised you haven't done this video before now. There is a lot to unpack with this subject. Although I get wanting to be different with the start of Enterprise, being set on Earth would have been a mistake, we needed to hit the ground running. The only thing that might have worked would have been a larger attack that took out the people who were supposed to crew the ship and having to scramble a crew together. Even though the NX-01 has similarities to the future Akira (which is my favourite ship) I never liked it. But... by adding the secondary hull to the ship, it looks AMAZING. Although the flange on the secondary hull of the B was purely to show damage to the physical model without damaging the base model. The Enterprise C and the Lost Era would be a great time for a show, Still with the excitement of Kirk's era but with a sense of change of the horizon. Think playing 'hot potato' with the name Enterprise was an insulting fan service. The F is a fantastic design, then Geordi has salvaged the Saucer of the D, and then she's the G which is made to remind people of a Constitution Class. It reeked of desperation for a poorly received show. The J looked horrible, they made a vague ship, thought it wasn't big enough, then stretched the image. Although there are some great designs, the more see of the motion picture era, the more I love that Enterprise. Another notable Enterprise was in the book Star Trek: The Return. The renamed USS Monitor which was a Stripped down Defiant, with only 1 Deck, everything else turned to armour and painted jet black.
FYI CV-6 was also called the Grey Ghost. Japan had reported her being sunk several times only for her to show up again at the next engagement. Many Japanese sailors were frightened every time she showed up. #NotWorfsFault
So StarTrek features real world 20th century space ships which owe their name to a StarTrek fan campaign?! Reminds me of Futurama when Fry and Co. went into the past where he impregnated his young grandma with his dad and ended up his own grandfather (a fact that would cause a brain anomaly which would make Fry immune to the Space Brains' brain beams so he could save the world later).
If Legacy is a combination of episodic and serialisation like Strange New Worlds. And doesn't rely as much on fan service as Picard season 3, i'm in. Otherwise.. oh hell i'd watch it anyway.
I think the J gets insulted more than it deserves, but its problem is scale. Nothing properly shows just how absurdly huge that thing is, it's basically a mobile starbase. As for the battle it takes part in, Star Trek Online implies that the battle is a fixed event, but the circumstances of it fluctuate based on the current status of the timeline, if you decide to run your vision of canon based on that interpretation it will still happen but under a different nature.
Ent-J still exists in the main timeline. You wouldn't build something that big just to fight the Delphic aliens. It's like saying the Ent-D was only built for combat or to ferry people, and not to explore. "Everyone" is always railing the Ent-J for being "ugly" meanwhile you got ships like the "copy & paste" seen in PIC s1, the Titan-A/Ent-G, the Crossfield-Class (Glenn & Discovery type), and some or a few of the 32nd century ships. You'd think that after the (relatively) recent remake/remaster of the Ent-J via 'Roddenberry Archive'/OTOY, at least some people would kind of change their tone about the ship.
Where did I say that they'd "only" build it to fight the Sphere Builders? Lol. All I was saying is that the version of the 26th century where we saw it _definitely_ exists in "Azati Prime" likely got erased at the end of ENT season 3. The Ent-J _could_ still be built in the prime timeline, and I think Star Trek Online suggests it is. But now that the Titan has been rechristened the NCC-1701-G in Picard, each ship after it would have to stay in service for on average 40 years before the next "letter" was christened. Again, could happen, but it's not certain.
My favorite Enterprise is hands down the big D. Next to that is the E, then A. However the D is the main one I'd want to serve on. The A is a bit scary since you have that warp core running straight through the neck. The only one I don't really care for is the C (though if they had used Probert's design, that would be different) however I do like Captain Garrett. CVN-80 will include a large amount of steel from the CVN-65, so according to Star Trek rules, it's not a new ship. It's a refit... Ugh, writers. It's interesting that some of these Pre-Warp Enterprises were just madeup for the show. I would have preferred the 1st season of ENT being on Earth. It would have given the opportunity to show Earths progression from First Contact to the construction of the ENT. It doesn't really matter to me if we get a "Star Trek: Legacy" show or not. The Constitution III is a poor choice to be named Enterprise. Moreover, although I like Seven being Captain, it's odd concidering (if you count PIC s1 & 2) she'd have only been in Star Fleet for what, two years? But the biggest reason I don't care, is because last time I wanted more Trek, we got the JJ films, then DISCO, etc. It didn't work out. So I decided not to want more of things I care about, for fear they will be corrupted.
@@discobolos4227 I'd be happy with the captain's yacht. They rarely ever explode, of course they rarely ever use them. Best hide and seek spot in the whole ship.
Enterprise J is also featured in Star Trek Online and a ship you can procure from their monetization store. Since Star Trek Online is supposed to be cannon, then the J must be, too, albeit a possible/alternate universe variant.
Eh when it comes to Online that ship has sailed. I mean Picard threw out almost all of its lore (but kept the ships, including an updated Discovery design or 2)
the enterprise d is definitely my favourite of the ships, with the nx-01 close behind, both for very sentimental reasons. tng was my first star trek, and enterprise was a show i like to call my own, on account of i watched it all by myself the first time around instead of with family, and i had heard very litte about it beforehand.
The closer that we as a nation and a planet get to the disclosure of nonterrestrial life, the more we will collectively appreciate that the essence of Star Trek, the positive values it upholds, and our love for it, rests in its nature as an allegorical fiction to the mission and principles our Naval Space Command (particularly as that agency has slowly unraveled and tried to understand the mystery of extraterrestrial life and vehicles over the past seven decades on behalf of the American Government). Something about Star Trek calls to us. Star Trek is a reflection of our very near future; not a fantasy of an unattainable one ;) Hopefully we may learn from its many lessons, whether our present challenges be interspecies conflict, or ensuring that our military space programs more closely reflect the values of "Starfleet", as opposed to operating like the "Terran Empire", as depicted in the "mirror universe". The value of Star Trek to our planetary society is the worthy subject of a doctoral thesis in its own right, and will only grow.
I actually think Star Trek is completely unrealistic and nothing like what it will be like. It is just too good, and there is too much hand waving of stuff. Money will NEVER go away, and no logic will ever make sense to explain how and why some people get to have more than others. I think when we look at sci fi, and then look at what happens when a fiction becomes real, we will see the sci fi authors were never able to predict how things would affect humans. They often go to the extreme and in doing so miss the actual humanity along the way. How can you write what humans would be like if none had suffering, when no human has ever lived in a world where a large percentage don't suffer everyday? I love Trek, but it is far too utopian. And I wouldn't want it any other way, But actual humans and actual reality. Sigh. Space will only be for the rich.
Thanks to the Multiverse all Those Enterprises Exist and I Hope we see the Enterprise J Sometime in the Future, I Would Serve on the Enterprise J that would be Amazing.

How can you write what humans would be like if none had suffering, when no human has ever lived in a world where a large percentage don't suffer everyday?
I love Trek, but it is far too utopian. And I wouldn't want it any other way, But actual humans and actual reality. Sigh. Space will only be for the rich.
So G is just into the 25th century and J is 26th century. Maybe they list a bit longer than C and beyond existed.
Now do one on the uniforms
Oh boy, you might be in for a delightful surprise sooner than later :D
YUS
D forever!
No lie... I'd serve on the good ship lollipop
@@discobolos4227 it's a good ship
All ships named voyager next?
Thanks to the Multiverse all Those Enterprises Exist and I Hope we see the Enterprise J Sometime in the Future, I Would Serve on the Enterprise J that would be Amazing.
Legacy? Sure I'm interested. But only so long as it doesn't take one bit of time, money, or personelle from SNW
The refit is the best, always the best.
I would like to serve on Enterprise - D as it is essentially a Marriot Resort in space. The other Enterprises looks uncomfortable.
Gonna be doxxed for this but god I love Discovery/SNW’s take on the original. It may be a retcon of The Cage but GOD its worth it.
🤮🤮🤮
wth today isn't friday
Nope! Apparently it's "Enterprise Day" (17/01)
@@OrangeRiver I had no idea 17/01 was a thing, that's so cool! in my house we've only celebrated Captain Picard day, but it's not like I need an excuse to watch ST
Enterprise had a hard go of it because it was Star Treks first serial rather than episodic show, not so much burnout.
I don’t know why they still call it the temporal Cold War….. cold means it never comes to a conflict….. but they engage the sphere builders at the battle of Procyon V
We all know that E is the 🐐
I don't think they should've made the Titan the next Enterprise. I'd be cool with keep it the Titan, or renaming it Voyager (provided that doesn't 💩 on some continuity).
