MTV loved wasting Fiona Apple’s time in 1996

Fiona gave amazing advice to pretty much every caller. She's so incredibly talented, smart and real. I've never seen a guest take the show this seriously and really try to help the callers before.

She was way better than they were.

Poor Fiona, nobody told her you’re supposed to give useless advice and make stupid jokes.

I used to L❤VE watching this show! Now I love that Adam and Dr Drew are still around and get to see them often on political shows

14:19 Isn't it funny how Dr. Drew's go to answer for everything was, "People who have _X problem_ tend to be folks who were abused in some fashion when they were younger". And of course, if they person denies it, he'd just assume they were lying, or it happened and they repressed the memory. He would roll that one out every single episode, or multiple times within one.

This is true. But I wonder how often he's right, given the decades of experience he has.
Another thing he does often with callers is if it's a female who's got a very young-sounding voice, he asks if she was molested as a child, and is usually right. Something about kids getting stuck emotionally when the trauma happened and not maturing normally.

@@raveballs On the latter, it certainly speaks to Christine Blasey Ford's "vocal fry" that some folks were mocking her for, during the Kavanaugh hearing.

That’s not evidence- based at all and should be considered malpractice. What a weird man
