Once Upon a Broken Heart was interesting. It definitely draws you in and it was clean but.... something about it didn't sit well with me. Honestly, I struggled with feeling like I was reading witchcraft 😬 I was super excited about it and I will say, it for sure is a good story but I decided not to continue with the 2nd and 3rd books.
After all the hype, I've held out as long as I can and I'm finally about to read this (eeek)! I figure this way I only have about a month till the second book then I can be in agony with everyone else until the 3rd book releases lol. So excited!
I'm going to have to give this one a try! I haven't really read any YA fantasy and now I want to! And speaking of Autumn by the Sea, I'm almost finished with A Seaside Wonder and OH MY. I love it, maybe even more than the first book. The romance is so good. 😍

Is it clean and Christian friendly? I see the publisher is one I’ve kind of broken up with because of themes in their books. However this sounds like a book this school teacher/ librarian would love.

Yeah I understand. We all have different convictions and for me, the psychic part was mild and harmless and I didn’t feel any weirdness reading it. It’s also interesting that a Christian author used swear words that I wouldn’t condone normally but again- we all have different convictions. I know plenty of Christians who swear in my real life. There doesn’t seem to be one standard out there that all Christians follow🤷🏽♀️

Definitely important to have compassion and understanding, but I think these conversations are also important--not to condemn anyone, but to raise awareness for those looking out for certain content, to have accountability, and at the very least to have meaningful discussion. 🫶🏼 That's good to know re your thoughts about the psychic part being mild! Liked the book as well... But they better kiss in book 2 - all that tension and nothing LOL.. Dont want or expect it to be smutty, so many books over do it, but a kiss would be nice after all that tension.. Otherwise I'll probably loose a bit of interest tbh..
