Wow - You keep on reminding me of my days on the Copper Mines here in South Africa. We worked on the Swedish Make "Wagner" St5B and the St8B scoop-trams similar to this one of Atlas Copco in the 80's. They were powered by Deutz Diesel (air-cooled with a powerful blowers) V8 engines. This was for underground work.
Very interesting how in the mining division three of these scoop-trams clear the draw-point also called the Face. Then take the raw ore to be dumped at a drop-off point where these boulders go down to huge shoots before being crushed in the desired sizes and lifted out of the mine by ore hoist buckets. These three Scoop-trams work in synchronisation as there are only room for one scoop at a time.
One have to observe it live to get an understanding how the underground mines and machines operate.

Maybe nowadays with technology these modern scoop-trams might be equipped with cameras. Way back in the mid 80's to early 90's when I was on the mines those machines were only equipped with massive strong headlights in front and at back. So at the draw-point the operator knows exactly what to do in that confined space. Its absolutely skill and experience.

Работал с подземщиками и отметил тот факт, что на поверхности смертность гораздо выше - бьются на машинах, стреляются по пьяни (в вахтовом посёлке), от всяких рабочих моментов мрут. Под землёй же смертность минимальная, видимо народ осторожничает, перестраховывается.
