I already knew about the meeting and escorting back part (thanks Frank Viola!), and I'm not dispensationalist, But since you didn't go into detail about the whole sentence, I will continue to assume that when 3 miraculous things are already happening (Jesus coming back, dead in Christ rising, living ones being changed), it's a small matter to actually rise into the clouds to escort Him properly, and may be a way for Him to reward and honor the faithful as well as have an impressive escort Himself. But I'm not obsessed over the details so I appreciate the video and think it's a good intro and take-down of pop-eschatology.😊
Thank you for clearing that up! As a person with a charismatic background yet a love for the Scripture, nothing ever added up when I looked into the sequence of events actually found in the Bible. At some point, I suspended my long-held belief of the Rapture, as I just wanted to know the truth about the context in its original form. In one Goku video, Scripture and the teaching about the end times it finally resonated together, as it should. This format works for me! If you had a Goku series with all the same information as the Apocalypse series, I bet it would be a great teaching tool for kids too!! 👍🏻
Exactly!!! I se the same context it in Mt 22:8-14 and Mt 13:40-43; 47-50!!! Mat 22:8 Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy. Mat 22:9 Go therefore to the main roads and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.’ Mat 22:10 And those servants went out into the roads and gathered all whom they found, both bad and good. So the wedding hall was filled with guests. Mat 22:11 “But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who had no wedding garment. Mat 22:12 And he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. Mat 22:13 Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Bind him hand and foot and cast him into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ Mat 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.” Mat 13:40 Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. Mat 13:41 The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, Mat 13:42 and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Mat 13:43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear. Mat 13:47 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind. Mat 13:48 When it was full, men drew it ashore and sat down and sorted the good into containers but threw away the bad. Mat 13:49 So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous Mat 13:50 and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
I had a dream last year that I was in my house in the city of Lima, Peru with my father and there was a big storm ⛈ with rain and 🌪 tornados wich are not comun in Lima it barely rains. Anyways, this tornados where about to pass through me and my dad. So I told my dad to hold on to the stairs and the tornados sucked us like vacuum cleaners to the air and I start while this was happen giving praises and screaming Jesus name I was so happy and it was a really dangerous situation but I was giving glory and dancing. I don’t know what this dream ment but it sounds kindoff odd I was so happy about it 💗
Well put. However when scripture says the just or those dead in Christ of the first resurrection shall meet Christ in the air, what makes us not also think much will not meet him in the air? Consider how Jesus is the first fruits of them that slept, Jesus died, was buried and resurrected; so shall it be for the saints. However he ascended into the heavens and will come in like manner. So what makes us think that we all shall not ascend to meet him and hen witness the destruction of the earth, Satan, in also part or right after, of those upon those of the second/last resurrection, the resurrection of the unjust? If Peter can walk on water (walking on The Word given to him, "Come"...so why not also apply this to when Jesus returns for His Bride and she walks down or up the isle to meet the bridegroom? I understand you are focusing on the passage in 1 Thess. Anyway, I agree that the doctrine of rapture today is not Biblical. It is about what the writer of Hebrew calls the doctrine of The Resurrection at the glorious Return of Christ. Anyway thanks for putting this up.
Thanks. I love that "lightning" image and "heaven coming to earth". Makes more sense according to scripture than the "rapture" unfortunately my mother is a believer of the rapture. But I never read the bible and said to myself "We will be sucked up like a vaccuum in the sky to meet Jesus in the clouds." But when it was written there wasn't much known about the universe, either.
"Caught up in the cloud" was just Paul with a lisp trying to say "caught up in the crowd". :) Plus, for whatever ways we may disagree on Calvinism/Arminianism.... it seems we are same-team on being a-mill?? That's not even true within my own very-Reformed church body. Enjoyed the video, brother.
I think you should research the Galilean Wedding tradition. There’s a greater parable inside the gospels that’s unlocked when you understand the Galilean wedding was special 😉
Verse 17 nulifies this criticism. It is too graphic to be morphed into an all-figurative passage becauswe it says the living will be ('excited' if you think that's the right definition for 'caught up') 'in the clouds', not on the earth, to meet Jesus who will be 'in the air'. With two words Paul is describing the literal sky as being the PLACE where this meeting will occur. Your interpretation seems more motivated by a dislike for people who would use the event to attract (or scare) unbelievers to Christ (which I don't think should ever be a reason to submit to Christ) than it does an interpretation based on the text.
@@DiscipleDojo But you have said in another video that the 'meeting' will occur on Judgement Day, not the Great Tribulation era's return of Jesus, which is at the end of the Millennium. Now you seem to be advocating the simple post-Trib Rapture view, as some people do. So why wouldn't you just say that? So the literal interpretation of 1 Thes 4 is the correct way to read it. Your trope of the Rapture being something almost all people think it is is an extremely inaccurate statement -- click bait. Shame.
Matthew 25: The Parable of the Ten Virgins 1Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man comes. There is the MARRIAGE and the marriage supper of the lamb, and at ANOTHER LATER time there is the second coronation and the coming of the KING to rule and reign. TWO events. At one only SOME are ready and get to LEAVE and GO and must have OIL and a TORCH (not a lamp) with a lot of light. At the other, He comes to stay HERE for the Kingdom of GOD has come to earth. Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. But destruction comes to rid the earth of the enemies of God and His Son: Luke 17: 26 Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man: 27 People were eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. ONE group is leaving to go to a wedding, the other is destroyed where they are.
No, I'm afraid you are pressing beyond what the text is actually saying. In Jesus' parables there is judgment AND celebration on the Day of the Lord, because like in the OT Prophets' writings, judgment of the wicked *is at the same time* vindication of the righteous. The parable of the 10 maidens and the wedding banquet in no way teaches a rapture of believers out of the world.
That makes sense, but this doesn't really dispel the whole meet in the air and clouds thing. Also this didn't deal with the passage where Jesus says one will be taken and the other left. So meh....
The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 13:41-42 Notice who is “taken”.
1 Corinthians 15: 50 Now I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed- 52 in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed, Luke 14: 8 “When you are invited to a wedding banquet, do not sit in the place of honor, in case someone more distinguished than you has been invited. 1 1For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” 17 When it was time for the banquet, he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’ 18 But one after another they all began to make excuses. The first one said, ‘I have bought a field, and I need to go see it. Please excuse me.’… 19 Another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to try them out. Please excuse me.’ 20 Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, so I cannot come.’ 21 The servant returned and reported all this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the city, and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.’ 23 So the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full. 24 For I tell you, not one of those men who were invited will taste my banquet.’”
Thanks for sharing brother! I love you man! You are a blessing! Im praying for you, your family and everyone! I am watching and expecting for the rapture/event to happen TONIGHT! on Sunday August 1st (August 2nd in Israel) during "Lammas"/"Loaf mass day" (Thanksgiving for the wheat harvest) or I am watching and expecting for the rapture/event to happen sometime this week during the Olympics (Until August 8th), I imagine this being the best time for the rapture/event to happen when everyone is distracted watching the Olympics. If we are still here past August 8th then I will be watching and expecting for the rapture/event to happen on August 8th/9th during the new/dark moon phase or on August 10th-14th during the crescent moon phase. A few brothers and sisters have had rapture dreams with a new/dark moon and a crescent moon including "Holly2moons", "Kim fisher", and "Eagle eye" on RUclips. If we are still here past August 14th then I will be watching and expecting for the rapture/event to happen during the full moon phase on August 20th-24th. Many brothers and sisters have had rapture dreams with a full moon. I really can't see us being here past August 31st 2021 because the next school semester starts in August/September and children will be forced to wear masks in school despite that the children and their families were protesting this year against the school board's complaining about children having a difficult time breathing and sometimes even passing out from lack of oxygen. About 4000 rockets were fired at Israel from May 9th until May 21st 2021 when they enacted a unilateral truce between Israel and the Palestinians. They are now proclaiming "Peace and safety", in 1:Thessalonians 5:3 it says "For when they shall say, peace and safety, the sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape". I believe it may be a 70 - 100 day delay/grace period. I believe that 2021 is the year of the rapture because of the pandemic and near mandatory "jab" and a sister had a dream that the rapture happened right after they made the "jab" mandatory, on my channel there WAS a video of a sister that had a vision of the rapture/event and she said that it will happen before 2022 (RUclips deleted it) On my channel there is a "Guided sleep meditation video" for re-programming your mind to feel more love, gratitude and universal divine connection. I have been listening to the same video every night for the past 2 years and it has greatly improved my life in almost all aspects. It also prevents me from having bad dreams or being spiritually attacked when I sleep. It has cured my depression and saved me from suicide, that proves that it is not satanic, I believe she is guided by God/The holy spirit. I give full glory to God for this comment because I have been praying everyday for God to reveal this information to me so that I can share it with everyone. "If God is everything, then we must be inside God, and God must be inside us" We will not experience any pain during the rapture/event. See you in heaven! Pray and repent of your sins to God, not to be saved, but to show respect to God and strengthen your relationship. God/Jesus loves everyone of you like as if you were the only person in the entire universe! God bless you and your family!
Will you sign over your life savings to me and date the check sometime in 2022 then? Sorry, but you are putting your hopes in man-made conspiracy theories rather than the message of Scripture. Please at least listen to the podcast mentioned in this video and ask yourself whether you have been deceived.
@@DiscipleDojo Lol that is a ridiculous question, ofcourse I wont. It sounds like you aren't ready for the rapture and to be judged and go to heaven. Maybe your not finished sinning in this evil world, almost every christian that I have ran across on RUclips wishes for the rapture to happen as soon as possible, not later. It is actually a sin to tell someone that the rapture wont happen until later, there are suicidal people out there that are holding onto the rapture as there only hope to end there problems, and if you wish to take away that hope from them then you must be demonically possessed. Im praying for you. Almost all christians are 100% sure the rapture will happen this year in 2021. And a famous rabbi that accurately predicted when ww2 would start before it happened predicted that ww3 would start 75 years after ww2 ended in 1945, that is 2020 or the summer of 2021 at the very latest. SO OUR TIME IS UP! See you in heaven very soon! God bless!
I can assure you that 100% of Christians do not believe the rapture will happen in 2021. Putting your hope in current events instead of God's plan will always end in disappointment. God isn't waiting for children having to wear masks in school, or one of hundreds of lunar eclipses. What makes a threat to Isreal now a rapture worthy event instead of any other event in the past? Or any potential event in the future? God isn't waiting for YOU to be ready. Nor is He waiting for YOU to want it to happen. God loves you. Trust in His wisdom and not what seems right to you.
Please don’t keep saying the pre-trib rapture view wasn’t a thing until the 1800’s. I know some folks punt to Darby, but I was reading Ephraem the Syrian or possibly Pseudo-Ephraem: “See to it that this sentence be not fulfilled among you of the prophet who declares: “Woe to those who desire to see the day of the Lord!” For all the saints and elect of God are gathered, prior to the tribulation that is to come, and are taken to the Lord lest they see the confusion that is to overwhelm the world because of our sins. And so, brothers most dear to me, it is the eleventh hour, and the end of the world comes to the harvest, and angels, armed and prepared, hold sickles in their hands, awaiting the empire of the Lord.” _On the Last Times, the Antichrist, and the End of the World_ I read passages by a couple of other church fathers, as well. I’m not saying that the church fathers were right about everything, or that we must accept their eschatological views, but can we at least agree that some folks before Darby were pre-tribbers?
Yes it was pseusdo. No one before Irving and then Darby held anything like the actual pretrib view of dispensationalism. A single quote from a pseudepigrapic source is not enough to validate the claim that it was a view held by any in the early church, I would argue.
@@DiscipleDojo I mean even if pseudo they think it was influenced by the actual Ephraem, and written no later than the eighth century, which is still before Darby.
It is correct that no where in the Bible is the word Rapture used however the meaning "taken up" refers to the believers being removed from the earth at the time when there will be much suffering and tribulation, God is protecting His chosen ones.@@DiscipleDojo
Not much, it is a whole different slant on what the Bible teaches, be careful for their are many false teachers. 2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn their ears away the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Why do you have to make a big deal of it? It has nothing to do with salvation. Believing we will be caught up or not does not save us. It's irrelevant.
Does it matter? Seriously does it matter? Whether the rapture is what we think it is or not, does it matter? Is there a passage that sends me to hell for not believing in the rapture? Isn't the preparation exactly the same for welcoming Christ back as it is to meet Him in the clouds? What does this have to with how someone is saved? I think the answer to my question is absolutely nothing. And yall just like doing these back and forths to confuse people for no good reason. 😒 Bring folks to salvation and faith in Christ which is what he told you to and be ready for his return. And stop all this extra mess.
There are objections...but having studied and taught on this topic in-depth for the past 20 years, I disagree about the "legitimate" part. There are lots of flat-earth videos on RUclips as well, keep in mind.
I se the same context it in Mt 22:8-14 and Mt 13:40-43; 47-50!!!

I believe that 2021 is the year of the rapture because of the pandemic and near mandatory "jab" and a sister had a dream that the rapture happened right after they made the "jab" mandatory, on my channel there WAS a video of a sister that had a vision of the rapture/event and she said that it will happen before 2022 (RUclips deleted it)
On my channel there is a "Guided sleep meditation video" for re-programming your mind to feel more love, gratitude and universal divine connection.
"If God is everything, then we must be inside God, and God must be inside us"
We will not experience any pain during the rapture/event.
😆 🤣 😂 this is really funny!!!
@DiscipleDojo maybe he was alone in the rapture.... or went silent as a false profet!
John 14:1-3
What about it?
Please don’t keep saying the pre-trib rapture view wasn’t a thing until the 1800’s. I know some folks punt to Darby, but I was reading Ephraem the Syrian or possibly Pseudo-Ephraem:
“See to it that this sentence be not fulfilled among you of the prophet who declares: “Woe to those who desire to see the day of the Lord!” For all the saints and elect of God are gathered, prior to the tribulation that is to come, and are taken to the Lord lest they see the confusion that is to overwhelm the world because of our sins. And so, brothers most dear to me, it is the eleventh hour, and the end of the world comes to the harvest, and angels, armed and prepared, hold sickles in their hands, awaiting the empire of the Lord.” _On the Last Times, the Antichrist, and the End of the World_
I read passages by a couple of other church fathers, as well.
Who is "they"?
It is correct that no where in the Bible is the word Rapture used however the meaning "taken up" refers to the believers being removed from the earth at the time when there will be much suffering and tribulation, God is protecting His chosen ones.@@DiscipleDojo
TOT HOMINES QUOT SENTENTIAE
I don't know what to make of this.
Make a big deal of it. Obviously. 😅
I agree lmao
Not much, it is a whole different slant on what the Bible teaches, be careful for their are many false teachers. 2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn their ears away the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
Why do you have to make a big deal of it? It has nothing to do with salvation. Believing we will be caught up or not does not save us. It's irrelevant.
But there are two judgements. The Bema seat for christians, and the Great White Throne for everyone else.
@@ChrisTenaglia-c3o Scripture never actually makes that distinction.
If you think exegeting Scripture is "extra mess", what does that say about your view of study?
There are loads and loads of legitimate objections to your stance against a pre trib rapture. Check around on RUclips.
There are objections...but having studied and taught on this topic in-depth for the past 20 years, I disagree about the "legitimate" part.
There are lots of flat-earth videos on RUclips as well, keep in mind.
@@DiscipleDojo really! How old are you Son? What seminary you go to? Stop dividing the flock over non-essential dogma.
@@DiscipleDojo heyyyy I'm a flat earther.
I would also like to ask what your credentials are, are you a Biblical Scholar, a professor of theology?
@@deecb9351 you would?
