It's that, especially for already famous straight actors, they may want to remind themselves that so many gay actors may need that opportunity more than they do.

Different medium would make the story more unique. Especially in a show like Boys in the Band, where the dialogue are very long. The use of long take on stage will emphasize the story.
netflix brings this Chinese anime with a dubbed version all will like it a lot with this incredible Chinese anime, because it is very cool and the name of this anime is called "Ju Bing Chang Cheng Zhuan (The Great Warrior Wall)", because if you bring it in a dubbed version then you are going to hit a whole big hit for sure
The idea that gay people are only gay because they were abused is outdated. Hopefully, you can move on from the pseudo-psychology that was popular in the 20th century.
