I'll check it out now. @@MoleFPV
Such a cool view! Awesome video! 😊
Did you have to download the firmware to the tx and vrx or just the tx?
I did both, but you can just do the goggles and leave the vtx on the fm it ships with.
@@MoleFPVwhat type of goggles you have? When you say download the firmware to the googles does that mean straight to the googles or the vrx connected to the googles?
@gpgp1750 I used this guide to upgrade the fm in both the cameras vtx and the goggles.
Irs a really good guide.

How much did all this cost bud?
Well i fly drones and recently went digital from analog video cameras/transmiters etc. So the kit i use is not cheap i wont lie, you can build a cheaper setup with analog but its never gonna give you the quailty you want. For me i had the goggles already and VTX/Camera spare from some other drone builds i was doing. so soldered in some 5v becs and hooked up 2x 1S lipos (from some micro drones ive got). Works a treat. Camera and the fan for the VTX i wired in lasts around 1 and half hours. the car stock lasts around 1 hour so its more then i need tbh.

Rough costing... (Please remeber i had the goggles for my drones and this was spare parts baring the TRX4M i got new)
- FatShark Dominator Avatar Digital HD Goggles - £500
- Walksnail HD 1S VTX Kit (Camera/VTX/Antena - £110
- BetaFPV HD Canpy - £10
- 1S Batterys x2 - £6
- Traxxas TRX4M Defender - £170
Hope this helps answer your question. ive always as a kid wanted a FPV RC Car. This car seemed perfect, its great indoors and can get under most chairs and tables without issue and as you can see in the garden its amazing. Feels like a jungle due to the scale.
CHEAPER OPTION (still walksnail, so digital)
There is a cheaper option for walksnail, you can get a little receiver with HDMI. you can plug that into a tv screen or portable 1080p screen and a cut down version of the same goggles (cut down being non OLED screens and no adjustment for focus (if you need glasses like myself, this is a must!. so the cheaper version isnt as good. however the cheapre version does fit your glasses with the goggles so i guess it still works.)
My goggles (full fat best they offer = £504.00) = www.unmannedtechshop.co.uk/product/fat-shark-dominator-digital-hd-fpv-goggles/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw7uSkBhDGARIsAMCZNJtkBto8_564sKTlCX5vPSDQOTtEe9NodktqTlvJv1lnhjTgoncJPl4aAhjJEALw_wcB
Same brand/goggles but cheaper version (Budget version, no focus adjustment and no OLED screens = £234.00) = www.unmannedtechshop.co.uk/product/fatshark-recon-hd-fpv-goggles/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw7uSkBhDGARIsAMCZNJuLIkebzV5bEa3hOfCdsd1RCjPLZ76FdT-NXYuG_NYKnn1-e7o9QMoaAgD3EALw_wcB
Video Recevier with HDMI (you can use on a TV/Monitor or portable 1080p screen = £179.90) = www.unmannedtechshop.co.uk/product/walksnail-avatar-vrx-digital-hd-fpv-receiver/
So its cheaper then i said, but i do use these goggles for my 6s drones etc and also wear glasses. with these i dont need the glasses so was a purchase for the drones and glasses requirments in mind for me :)
@@MoleFPV Thanks for the reply, where did you get the car?
