I know what Detroit Pizza is. What's Detroit Techno? A lot of square waves, with the sauce on top of the cheese? 🙂

I on the other hand have never heard of Detroit Pizza ! Detroit techno really refers to the first examples of techno music developed in Detroit in the late 80s / early 90s by artists like Underground Resistance, Juan Atkins, Derrick May etc. Detroit Techno is techno music with a raw analog sound that doesn't feel overproduced, relies heavily on hardware synthesizers, specially the 808 and the 909 boxes, and it's about expressing feelings through evocative atmospheres.
