5917 - The Kiama Picnic Train - 13th December 2015

On the 13th of December Lachlan Valley Railway ran it's second last Kiama Picnic Train for 2015. The train was hauled by locomotive 5917 and ran from Sydney Central to Kiama. The Train then made a shuttle trip to Shellharbour Junction before being turned on the turntable and returning to Sydney.
The train is seen on its way to Kiama at Como, Otford and Albion Park. Then on its shuttle trip it is seen crossing a bridge next to Kiama station and then returning along the shore of Bombo Beach. 5917 is then seen shunting and being turned. Finally The Kiama Picnic Train is seen passing Minnamurra, Helensburgh and Engadine on its return to Sydney.
Apologies for the slightly out of focus shots and wind noise I hope it does not detract too much from the video.

Hey Snowman did you notice that 5917 was missing his Kiama picnic train name badge? At least his Christmas decorations stayed on which includes tinsel on his sides and Merry Christmas flags in his coupling area
