      In Ambrose & Walsh and Wasim & Waqar you have two bowlers that complement each other because of their similar technique. And they are amazing. I'd also throw up McGrath and Warne because of their differences. If i was picking the best 11 of the last 40 years I'd have all six bowling in pairs with Gilchrist or Sangakara as keepers cause you almost wouldn't need batsmen to make more than a couple of hundred.

    They had the umpires at their side, we had our fingers at ours. So we scratched that ball, made it swing and they knew it all along. They might have even tried it as well but it was not only about scratching it, it was abour deliveing it at a certain pace, length and angle which they couldn’t do. Therefore, when they failed in doing it, they cried cheating. It was not cheating, it was done in broad daylight. The only reason we didn’t talk about it was because we were afraid that we would lose our art, our secret or the rest of the teams might learn it from us.
    Similar was the case with Saqlain Mushtaq when he invented the Doosra. They called him a cheater as well. And yet today, all of us thank him for introducing us to one of the best variations in bowling the cricketing world has ever seen.

    Reverse swing is Pakistani culture. I have faced reverse swing on a tape ball. Our pitches are like that so bowlers depends on Yorkers "gitay suja" our swing to get him out. Our batsman go after every ball "Ar ya Par"that is why we fail as batsman.

      @harrismazari5484 2 года назад

      @@yasirali3067 there are two kinds of swing. conventional swing and reverse swing. Both reverse swing and conventional swing can be outswing or inswing. The direction of the ball does not matter.
      Conventional swing is when the ball swings away from the shiny side. This happens because the rough side of the ball is going to be "slower" and hence will have drag and the ball will swing towards it (away from shiny side that is)
      Reverse swing is when the ball starts swinging towards the shiny.
      Reverse swing happens when the ball gets old and the rough side becomes so heavy that it actually starts going faster through the air and hence swings towards the shiny side.
      The first thing you need with swing is prominent seam on the ball (which will wear off very quickly in tapeball). The other thing you need is that the rough side is actually heavier (which is impossible in case of a tape ball because rough tape ball will mean lesser tape and hence lesser weight). In other words it is close to impossible to reverse swing a tape ball. You can swing the ball in or out but it will be conventional swing. Hope this helps.
