This gentleman is Syrian and when he speaks Filipino he uses the "po" as a sign of respect to the elder, unlike other Filipinos who would rationalize their intentional omission of the word "po" because they claim that they are from other region of the country. Obvioulsy he is more Filipino in words and in deeds.
I am from other region as well so I know that it doesn't make us less of a Filipino if we don't use the word "po" at all times. The words "po/opo" is an NCR thing. You can't impose people from all over the country to abide by your region's customs. Bisayas, Ilonggos, Warays and other ethnic groups as well make up a huge chunk of our population. So I guess most of the Philippines are "less" Filipino compared to those living in NCR. 🙄

This gentleman is Syrian and when he speaks Filipino he uses the "po" as a sign of respect to the elder, unlike other Filipinos who would rationalize their intentional omission of the word "po" because they claim that they are from other region of the country. Obvioulsy he is more Filipino in words and in deeds.
I am from other region as well so I know that it doesn't make us less of a Filipino if we don't use the word "po" at all times. The words "po/opo" is an NCR thing. You can't impose people from all over the country to abide by your region's customs. Bisayas, Ilonggos, Warays and other ethnic groups as well make up a huge chunk of our population. So I guess most of the Philippines are "less" Filipino compared to those living in NCR. 🙄

My tears is falling sir while watching this, it reminded me when i give money and bread sa nagpalimos na matanda sa isla namin.. When i look her eyes she hold my hand shaking with teary eyes sa sobrang saya nya.. I feel heaven in my heart to see someones smile. Yesterday febuary 29, 2020 we park sa garage namin at may matandang babae nangunguha ng basuha and i give her money and food and she told me she was hungry...
