i used to watch saiyuki when i was like 15 , now i'm 20 and i still love it. i especially love when they tell the story about their lives when they were in 'heaven'. anyone who hasn't read saiyuki gaiden, you should really read it. it'll give you a whole new perspective of the entire anime/manga and let me warn you, it's really sad. but worth reading.
This one and Dragonball are based off of the same legend "Journey to the West." Therefore, the two Gokus are based off the same character as in the book. This anime sticks much closer to the original legend than Dragonball does, but it's still not very accurate.
@PrincessRose2006 maybe cause goku is in many other series an adaption from the chinese novel journey to the west. it appears even son goku from dragonball has it's roots there. so I wouldn't wonder why their behaves are quiet alike :)
yeah the colours are wrong for so many reasons lol goku and homura have gold eyes and are treated as herasies for them where as nataku's hated for entirely different reason and obviously goku never said ''wow his eyes are just like mine..!'' secondly kenren is a god or something and only get the red hair when he reincarnates to gojyo a taboo child half human/demon.. So really those are huge plot points.. Why..? -.-,

homura has one eye red and other blue....gojyo is almost like tenren..both are playboy types..both are tall
