The red shirt is from the Red Devils cheering squad for South Korea back in 2002 Korea-Japan soccer World Cup. Literally everybody wore red shirts in 2002 in South Korea cheering. But still this guy is wearing the Red Devils shirt in 2003. And also later on in the show, maybe symbolizing his consistant personality n character.
idk if you guys caught it but the security guard was also an NIS agent with the parents. he tried to stop doosik when he fought with director Min and flew out the window with him. Summer didn't get it altogether wrong, the actor said that Kanghoon's feelings aren't completely black & white. There is some affection for Huisoo but the loner part of it is also bigger. i think both Huisoo and Kanghoon had to mature really quickly in comparison to Bongseok to help and protect their parents. Kanghoon's "I'm sorry" to his dad in earlier episodes shows that he feels a lot of guilt for all the time his father had to spend in prison and that he'll forever be on parole with the ankle monitor stuck at their house/shop. he wasn't able to use his strength to protect his dad, so when a new person with abilities finally showed up that he could be friends with, could be himself with and it seemed that kisoo could harm her, he burst out in rage and seriously beat him up. kanghoon's anger was misdirected at kisoo and kisoo's anger was misdirected at kanghoon (he said in ep 7 "was it you that f'd up my leg?" he thought he sabotaged his PE exam so only kanghoon could pass the NTDP)
The red t-shirt is the official cheering uniform for the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup. Every generation that experienced the 2002 World Cup had one. It can be seen as a device to show one's personality of sticking to what he likes, just as he is obsessed with his son Kang-hoon.
4:17 THE RED SHIRTS R ICONIC SHIRTS FOR KOREAN SUPPORTERS OF 2002 WORLD CUP and we took world 4th. IT WAS REALLY GREAT TO KOREAN PEOPLE. IT WAS ALMOST MIRACLE. HOW GREAT? THINK ABOUT Chicago Cubs IN 2016. U KNOW WHAT I MEAN. AFTER 2002, WE used to wear that shirts so long~
This episode provides new pieces of the puzzle not yet discovered. We now know that it was Jo Rae-hyuk who proposed the idea of creating a superhuman development program through a high school. But that's not all: although he doesn't say it explicitly, Jo Rae-hyuk certainly organized the accident that killed Ji-hee, probably on behalf of Min Yong-jun; the idea was probably to deprive Ju-won of the family, which Yong-jun considers a distraction for Ju-won, so that he could devote himself entirely to missions. When Jo Rae-hyuk tells Min Yong-jun "I take my job very seriously" it is a way of telling him that it was impossible for a human being to survive that accident and therefore would support the thesis that Hui-soo has the powers of Ju-won. If we already had an unflattering opinion about these two men, imagine now. Furthermore, we saw how Jo Rae-hyuk manipulated Gang-hoon when he was in middle school to convince him to go to her school to become an agent in order to clear his father's record, which he feels guilty about. On top of that, Jo Rae-hyuk made sure to build the school near Mi-hyun's home, so as to be sure that Bong-seok would attend Jeongwon when he reached high school age. A diabolical plan. And finally, although it is not explained in words, we begin to understand why Bang Ki-soo is so intolerant towards the school and Gang-hoon: it is probable that he has a gift, or it is assumed that he does, which that substitute teacher Yoon Sung-wook pushed himself to the limit, seriously injuring Ki-soo's leg and incapacitating him for the program; I also think he sees Gang-hoon as the program's darling, which he probably hoped he would become. It should also be noted that Yoon Sung-wook observed the scene with cold detachment while Ki-soo writhed in pain, without the slightest empathy; which is very different from Choi Il-Hwan who actually seems to have the students' well-being at heart. Now we also know why Bong-seok is always so happy when he sees the driver Jeon Gye-do: he immediately recognized him as Bungaeman, the hero of the children and of his childhood; moreover, as he says, even if Gye-do is no longer Bungaeman, one doesn't stop being heroes, which he seems to be trying to do: it's clear that the guy with the scar on his head who follows Hui-soo is one of the North Koreans who came to look for the files of the South's superhumans and kill everyone from the program (note that one of them was the super who threw rocks in 1996) and Gye-do understood this when he read the memories contained in the cell phone when he touched it; the way the whole scene is constructed, with a crescendo of tension is masterful, especially when you realize that the North Korean can fly. A detail worth noting: both Mi-hyun and Ju-won, to go to school, prepare as if they were going to war, with Ju-won wearing the military boots that were given to him by the officer in 2003 and which he always worn whenever he went on missions. It is curious, however, that Mi-hyun did not recognize the school security guard, as he was one of the agents who escorted Doo-sik in 1994, but perhaps she pretended nothing had happened, now having the certainty that the school is managed by the NIS. And in fact, here too the construction of tension is formidable in the moment in which Mi-hyun is talking to Choi Il-Hwan and Ju-won inspects the school noticing the cameras, a real lesson in directing and acting. Of note, there appears to be a North Korean mole inside the school, having told the group to enter through the back.
Pls dont hate on Kisoo, he is actually a nice kid. The temporary teacher is the one unscrew the high jump board. Kisoo used to got tested like that by the same teacher so he knew something is weird about this school and try to find private place to warn Huisoo (ep 2 when he follow her to the hall and wait outside). That teacher messed up his leg so he is unable to do the test to enter PE uni. After that he thought Ganghoon is the reason he got test like that so he pour anger on Ganghoon Juwon put his hand in hot oil to test how fast he can heal I think because this will be a big fight. As they grow older their ability will be weaker. The security guard is a former NIS's agent (ep 9 in the elevator after they caught Doosik) Start from now mama Mihyun will prove why she is top of her class with perfect score on every test since ANSP was established The North flying guy on the bus doesnt lift the bus, the bus driver make the bus lean to 1 side to confirm that guy ability. Because other normal human would lean with the bus while this guy was unfazed and still stood in that same spot just off the surface
5:30 Summer forgets all after 7 episodes 😂 the homeroom teacher asked the temp that did he intend to create an accident to expose children's power. In ep7 he actually did that, not the bully guy

5:39 the homeroom teacher was insinuating that the temp teacher purposely sabotaged the basketball backboard to fall on Huisoo. We know from a flashback that the temp looks for ways to put students in danger to see if that awakens any hidden powers. That's how the bully got injured (we suspect) on his leg, but instead of providing aid as the bully writhed in pain and agony, the temp looked on with the emotionally detached curiosity of a scientist performing an experiment.
Gye Do (bus driver) realized that the north Korean guy was following Bonseok and Huisoo, so he was trying to maybe knock him off his feet or even knock him out if he could so he wouldn't be able to hurt them. The last episodes to the final battle are greater, the ep 18 19 and 20 were released at the same time and I got exhausted with different emotions that time lol But just the heart of this is parents - kids love at the end.
I have asked myself also how did the bus driver keep his job how do you explain road rage accident 😂 my friend said forget his real dad the bus drivers boss is his real dad for being able to forgive him for wrecking the bus.
Juwon checked his ability is still there or not as his young days by putting hands in a hot oil as he didnt use his power in a long time. He is getting ready for the battle/fight as he sensed the danger also . I guess he just forgot that he had a big fight with Frank and he is still alive 😂
Please pay more attention to all the small details set in the show. you can miss very meaningful things easily by blink of an eye. I recommend watching the whole show from the beginning when you finish it. you will be surprised that tiny details and all the puzzles come together to make the show way better
You can hang on a bit longer to find out more about the temp. They haven't revealed it yet, but they will soon. For Ganghoon, they're basically using the same old tactics: your father's on probation for decades now, but if you help us, we'll help you/him. The next few episodes (all the way to the end) are gonna be wild. Binging them wouldn't be a bad choice 😂
Congratulations to guryungpo,Kim bung seok and huisoo for winning best actor ,best supporting actor, and best rookie awards in kdrama awards also bagging best writer ,best VFX .
4:17 we first see the red shirt being worn by the strong father in 2003, which is the year after Korea (with cohost Japan) hosted the World Cup. In that world cup, the home team outperformed far beyond expectations, reaching the semifinals (eventually losing to Germany) when the country felt it would've been a proud moment just to reach the round of 16. Along the way, they beat many of the traditional European football powerhouses such as Portugal, Italy, and Spain. That men's national team had the entire nation in a frenzy, and the country wore that red shirt to root for them and create an ocean of red inside the stadiums. If there's footage of the US vs Korea match, watch that and look at that sea of red in the stands. That's psychological home field advantage.
and this has been shot from 2021-2022, Bongseok actor now is slim lol. So the budget has been fixed ever since and dubbed as the most expensive kdrama. This has been great great work but it hasnt blown up as Squid games because its in disney +/Hulu but its huge in Korea, Bongseok as a rookie main lead actor has now announced he gas one drama coming, one movie, one variety show with Blackpink Jennie lol and now a music showmc. Huisoo is already a superstar and starred in another big drama before Moving and have another two big dramas coming. seniors are seniors just chilling and proved their worth lol but season 2 hasnt been announced yet. This probably will win the grand prize on their baeksang next year
The significance of the red shirt is the year South Korea hosted the World Cup in 2002 and achieved their best ever result of 4th place, famously eliminating both Spain and Italy. SK was the first country to ever make the semi-finals outside Europe and North America
you haven’t really missed too much with the substitute teacher that hasn’t been revealed yet, except that you can tell from the interactions that he doesn’t care as much about the students as Ilhwan does. I love the way this drama plants seeds and then slowly just allows them to grow over time before our eyes. it’s kinda brilliant. ❤
I don't know if the producers did it on purpose as a callback, but Chicken Dad has a movie called "Extreme Job" where he plays a cop that opens a fried chicken shop. It's worth a reaction! Also, please do more K-drama reactions with Summer!
He is going to act in a next series 'Dak Gang Jeong' (Sweet and spicy Korean fried chicken) based on a webtoon where he get a mysterious machine which turns people into fried chicken. 😂 He is stuck with chicken for rest of his life.
@@glennhkboy OP mean they choose the actor that famous for his previous movie also a fried chicken shop owner and has nickname as zombie because he cant die
@@glennhkboy The webtoon may predate the movie, but that dad wasn't Ryu SeungRyong. Anyway, does the webtoon have the line, "Fresh chicken even after dead?"
I think we're to infer that the part-time PE teacher was the cause of the basketball backboard falling to test the girl's powers. Given his methods, it wouldn't be a surprise if he was the reason the Bang Ki-Soo was injured and became a bully.
Yes, totally. And this is confirmed with the completely detached way the temp looks on at Kisoo writhing in pain, almost like a lab scientist watching his specimen react to a chemical agent. He likely caused that leg injury, suspecting that peril/trauma might activate dormant powers (or peril forces the gifted to expose/use their powers to avoid the danger). This temp is nosy by nature but additionally has a complex because the homeroom teacher never lets him in on anything important regarding the NTDP.
4:19 It is a T-shirt with the slogan "Be The Reds," which was used to support the Korean national soccer team during the 2002 World Cup. It originated from the red color of the 'Red Devils', the cheering squad for the Korean national soccer team.
I must confess that the opening scene left me a bit disconcerted since the motives that the director could have had to proceed to murder Jang Ju-won's wife are somewhat disconcerting. The reason was Jang Ju-won, upon losing his family, would focus solely on his job and eventually not have a reason to quit his job? Was it so he wouldn't have something to hold on to outside of his life in the intelligence service? However, this would seem like an absurd reason, because Ju-won was carrying out his missions efficiently and with passion, and his motivation was precisely his family, and by taking away his reason for living, they could take away his motivation to carry out his mission. On the other hand, we see that the other agents on the team had their families (like the woman who would later become a hairdresser) and that did not seem to bother the director. And furthermore, by killing Ju-won's wife (and trying to kill his daughter) they were in grave danger, because if Ju-won discovered the truth he could take revenge by killing the director. Anyway, I think it is perhaps the only decision of the director whose motive is very difficult to understand and seems very feeble from the point of view of logic (even twisted logic like the director's). We see more of how the superhuman breeding program was organized, an ambitious project but also risky and with problems when it reaches the phase of recruiting the kids. How to deal with those reluctant to devote their lives to the intelligence agency? Presumably with blackmail, but that wouldn't always be easy. The final scene is quite exciting, with Jeon Gye-do driving the bus recklessly to neutralize the superhuman North Korean hitman. It's not a spoiler to say that we are entering the dramatic arc of the final battle, the epic battle that will be the climax of the story.
"He looks like he's about to go to Hogwarts!" LMAO!!!! But that's not the school on my mind as it's national plan time! Xavier School of the Mirror Universe :) THANKS for this!!!!
Someone mentioned in the previous episode comment, but I think the class president has a crush on Huisoo. I don't know who said that he just wanted to be a friend. What you need to do is distinguishing someone's comment as their opinion or the fact even though it may not be easy. I think you guys get the most of the things correctly. I really enjoy your reactions. Someone mentioned about the security guard. There is a reason why he has all the monitors of the cameras. Also, one of North Korean agents was in "My Name." The policeman in episode 14 was in "Bloodhounds." Did you recognize him?
6:32 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Summer looks warm and very cozy with that background I like it It was huge fun that Summer named that dirty guy as cocain principal, super sniffle, super allergin 😂😂 4:45 He’s a truly useless shit In front of 15-16 year-old kid talking about his dad’s sentence and deal with his future What a scumbag It s obvious that he killed Jihee (Huisoo’s mom) A big truck in car accident scene in k drama It s never been a coincidence You can trust me, I ve watched k drama for whole of my life😅 You d remember that Jaejun got hit by a truck, the color blind guy in Glory. And I thought that the bus guy is regenerated Frank because of his face wound The actor is something though When I watched him in this drama at the first time I was just like.. What!!!!!!!!😮😮😮 just like I m watching Al Pacino in Moving 😅
The real villain is Min and those people on different organizations who keep on manipulating other people just to have more powers and get what they want😤.
Somebody tell me. How do non-Koreans know so much about Korean culture and even trivial historical stuff? It’s extraordinary. Do they just google it all or how they learned all this info?
Many foreign viewers wonder why the bus driver hasn't been fired yet. As a South Korean, I would like to answer: South Korea is a country with very strong worker protection laws. (Of course, there are companies that do not comply with this law.) A company can never easily fire the workers it has hired. As far as I know, in the United States, workers can be easily fired. (Starting today or tomorrow, you are fired!!) South Korea can never do that. The recommended resignation must be announced at least several months in advance.
it's time to go down ! from next episode will be intense like extremely intensee the Red tshirt is a national football fan tshirt when the world cup time

Did they miss the scene where the temp teacher just watched the bully kid hurt and did nothing?
Been following your journey on reacting to this series since ep 1. I always feel happy when I see new videos coming up.❤
Congratulations to guryungpo,Kim bung seok and huisoo for winning best actor ,best supporting actor, and best rookie awards in kdrama awards also bagging best writer ,best VFX .

About Bang Kisoo, it is presumed that he can hear people's thoughts.
you haven’t really missed too much with the substitute teacher that hasn’t been revealed yet, except that you can tell from the interactions that he doesn’t care as much about the students as Ilhwan does.
Not really..... in the original Webtoon, HiSoo 's dad was a fry-chicken dad. This pre-date the movie Extreme Job.
He is going to act in a next series 'Dak Gang Jeong' (Sweet and spicy Korean fried chicken) based on a webtoon where he get a mysterious machine which turns people into fried chicken. 😂 He is stuck with chicken for rest of his life.
@@aileen8492 Talk about being stereotyped!
4:16 The t-shirts is for supporting Korean national team in 2002 world cup(football, soccer).
Get ready, you are reaching episodes that will be FIRE!
It originated from the red color of the 'Red Devils', the cheering squad for the Korean national soccer team.
now you guys mention "chicken dad", you've not seen "Extreme job" (2019) have you?
Cant wait to episode 19-20

Oh you’re gonna love the NK agents 😊
I loved them too but I felt they didn’t take nearly enough time to flesh them out. Felt a bit rushed and thrown in.
오늘도 잘 보고 갑니다
서머누나도 잘 보고 갑니다 ㅋㅋㅋ😊😊😊
It seems like a month waiting for your video 🥺
"He looks like he's about to go to Hogwarts!" LMAO!!!! But that's not the school on my mind as it's national plan time! Xavier School of the Mirror Universe :) THANKS for this!!!!
다음편이 더 재밌습니다 ㅋㅋ
Someone mentioned in the previous episode comment, but I think the class president has a crush on Huisoo. I don't know who said that he just wanted to be a friend. What you need to do is distinguishing someone's comment as their opinion or the fact even though it may not be easy. I think you guys get the most of the things correctly. I really enjoy your reactions. Someone mentioned about the security guard. There is a reason why he has all the monitors of the cameras. Also, one of North Korean agents was in "My Name." The policeman in episode 14 was in "Bloodhounds." Did you recognize him?
야호 신난다 무빙 이다

The real villain is Min and those people on different organizations who keep on manipulating other people just to have more powers and get what they want😤.
Summer upgraded lol 😂
Somebody tell me.
How do non-Koreans know so much about Korean culture and even trivial historical stuff? It’s extraordinary. Do they just google it all or how they learned all this info?
Many foreign viewers wonder why the bus driver hasn't been fired yet.
As a South Korean, I would like to answer:
South Korea is a country with very strong worker protection laws. (Of course, there are companies that do not comply with this law.)
A company can never easily fire the workers it has hired.
As far as I know, in the United States, workers can be easily fired. (Starting today or tomorrow, you are fired!!)
South Korea can never do that. The recommended resignation must be announced at least several months in advance.
it's time to go down ! from next episode will be intense like extremely intensee
the Red tshirt is a national football fan tshirt when the world cup time
You guys should watch psychokinesis movie of Mr Ryu Seung Ryong(chicken dad)
마지막에 양동근이 날아오를 때. 정말 소름이. 아 얘는 s++ 등급이구나. 김두식 급이구나.
