Nice look at these. I think I’m happy with the older versions I have, but it’s still cool to see the differences. Interesting that the new effects are a lot more opaque, I think the old ones work better for that purpose. Great video!
I think you stayed pretty positive for both versions, but I think I still need to get the updates re-releases haha. Plus if it helps support Jun and Jada Toys to continue the line, I’m all for it.
I've seen a few of these comparison and I don't think anyone has mentioned the smaller eye print for Ryu. I like the smaller eyes on him. It makes him look more intense and serious. I wouldn't like that look on the women, but it fits Ryu.
I like their shiny looks. We got original factory Ryu and couple days ago i got Fei and Chun, and back of boxes they both have art with only one character. So they are just from new factory.

I lole the more matt look...but I also don't hate the shiny look. They look like they worked up a sweat. When my local store finally got some in stock; I bought Ryu and then a week Later Chun Li. Oddly Ryu is from the new factory & Chun Li from the old one, and yes she has a sweaty face.😅
My Ryu isn't a "2.0" (from older box) but for some reason it's more matte, the skin has details, flat hair and headband. He's even more matte than my Ken. My M. Bison's body is matte too with a bit darker red. They're from the same store, so I think the batches have different qualities (?). I'm from Asia, and maybe we have somewhat more premium-looking versions.
Buy the new version if your old version is defective such as it has a paint application error or there is something wrong with the joints. I sold my old Chun Li and bought the newer version because my old one had a problem with her right hip and it was very limited in pose and had some paint errors on her outfit.

Yeah, those big eyes look a bit cartoony. The smaller eyes still look stylised but more in the comic style

I just tamiya mate spray my ryu. Fixes any shiny issue ❤

They all have paint issues on the belt paint rubs off little by little off the belt my ryu has that issue on hes belt😢
