finally there is a video dedicated to Indonesia biodiversity. Indonesia is not a joke. it contain both rich land biodiversity and the ocean biodiversity. and on earth, there is only 2 places where you can see a rich ocean biodiversity. coral triangle and great barrier reef. amazon is nothing to coral triangle in the size but it's always get the exposure to international eyes. but not with coral triangle. Edit: i know coral triangle is also about Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Eastern part of Malaysia, and Northern Australia. But most of coral triangle located in Indonesia territory.
There is also a great freshwater biotope in Indonesia and greater southeast asia. Then there is the tropical regions of Africa. Only 3 highly productive biodiversity locations on this planet. Not a whole lot. Then we have the northern forests and their biotope. Canada, Alaska, N. America, Eastern Europe and Siberia and beyond. That biotope is less productive but equally important. The colder air and denser air help to trap C02 within the denser forest regions. Very important.
The price to go to Raja Ampat is expensive compared to other tourist destinations in Indonesia, this is one of the many methods how the Indonesian government tries to protect the marine biodiversity of Raja Ampat 🙌❤
our traditional pinisi boats explore Raja Ampat on our trips and the magical thing is that you'd never find the same thing twice. the marine life always feels new, always magnificent. we let our Tour Leaders explore and it's mesmerizing every single time.
I’m glad that the video actually included a local dive guide like Usal Mambraku instead of just focusing on the foreigner’s point of view. 👍 To those who want to witness the unspoiled beauty of Raja Ampat, you’re welcome to visit the Indonesian province of Southwest Papua, and most likely you will fly into the provincial capital of Sorong, where you might enjoy a day or two of local life.
Great video guys 🩵 We’ve been operating for more than 10 years in this incredible part of the world and it’s wonderful to see some content focus on conservation some of the success stories and working with local communities in Raja Ampat.

Rajaampat is not just a centre of biodiversity, but also has many relics of human migration history. There are caves with prehistoric paintings, language diversity, and historical buildings.
If most of the tourists will only make a hidden place worse like polluting, destroys, does not protect nature etc. I'll be very happy if those places remains hidden.
The price to go to Raja Ampat is quite expensive, I doubt tourists would spend a lot of money for something like scuba diving (unless if they're really into it), not to mention how many hours and rules you need to follow to get there.. This is just one of the many methods how the Indonesian government tries to protect the marine biodiversity in Raja Ampat 😉

Indonesia should build more hotels near the rift so everyone could visit the corals and more job for the locals

That's enough with the hotels currently available... let them be exclusive and expensive.
@izzigosa so what's your point? Your statement doesn't alter the fact that the place is very fragile.
@izzigosano they are in bali or thailand just lookin for hedonistic party mostly, mostly

I hope... flights, accommodation, etc to Raja Ampat remain LIMITED, EXCLUSIVE & EXPENSIVE to avoid trashy "influencers" going there 🙂
As an Indonesia, I also want to go there, ofc I need a lot of money
