I’ve got the QK80 but the ease that you can take this apart is really tempting me. I really like to change stuff out and not worrying about cables or screws is fantastic.
With the pogo connector and the ball catch release for the case, it is a tweaker's perfect keyboard. Watching other reviewer and streamers literally open and close this board in seconds... I'm really looking forward to what their take is on an Alice style keyboard since they also delayed it to get the pogo connector.
This was my pick over the QK65v2 for me personally. Super easy to configure, looks simple and clean and not gimmicky; this is to be expected with Qwertykeys Neo line. Great video as always Anzel keep it up!
I'm honestly expecting this to be the trend!! Neos are made to appeal to everyone, QK's are meant to be a tier above in quality but provide a lot of novel new design quirks, and OwlLabs is their absolute pinnacle in experimentation and batsh*t ideas. So much is happening and I love it!
definitely leaning towards the gaskets over the o ring for this board but also wondering how the sandwich mount is gonna be in person for me. great video as always 🔥
All very similar imo!! Which is why I didn't bother sound testing all the different mounts lol. But the sandwich mount has a surprising amount of give, so keep that in mind!! And thank you for tuning in!
What was your experience like installing and tuning the neo stabilizers? Are they simple enough to get sounding good? Or would you recommend buying aftermarket stabilizers?
Man I really hope they take a crack at a Neo75 with this build design in mind. I love the way the Neo80 is designed but I’ve got zero use for the Nav Cluster outside of the arrow keys lol. So I’ll never pick up a TKL no matter how pretty it is.
I highly agree!! I feel like 75 is that perfect middle ground for so many people who are newer or need just that tiny bit of extra space. Here's to hoping, although honestly at this point I think it'll be a "when" rather than "if" !!
I honestly prefer the neo a lot. It feels more refined design wise and I prefer the sound profile. But preference is king and I can see why someone would prefer the qk. However, I do massively prefer the neo.
Man I really want this board but I’m a die hard 75% layout kinda guy. The qk version has some questionable designs that make it look way worse so I’m just waiting for a neo 75 to release or something
How would you say this compares to the Cycle7 soundwise? Clackier? I was hoping for a deeper sounding board for my TKL however I already ordered this and dont want to wait for the Cycle8. Regardless of the sound, this board has everything I was looking for with the ball catch/release, multiple mounting styles, and magnetic daughterboard. All three of those were musts !
Definitely clackier and fuller imo. But the luminkey is deeper and you might want to look into that. Even the qk80 is much deeper but imo it requires at least 1 layer of foam
Awww man I already ordered the Neo80 but the information and comparisons were super helpful. I actually ordered a vega ai03 second hand which is a super deep sounding board so this actually works out @@AnzelLmao
unfortunately I haven't really tried the neo70 so I can't speak on it! They should both be pretty similar though, so honestly just go for the form factor you like best!
Both are really good! Very similar value although the luminkey is slightly better value as a prebuilt. Luminkey I think has a more balanced sound profile but the neo is much higher pitched which is why I prefer it. But the luminkey imo will cater to a wider audience with its sound profile.

Big agree!! It’s just so nice

It's kind of ridiculous how fast I was able to change mounting styles. We really are in a new era!!

Cheers to another awesome keyboard that anyone can pick up! Great review, Anzel :)
thank you for tuning in as always, brother! Big love

THANK YOU
Think I’m gonna go with cf plate no foams with the champagne case
sounds like a crazy cool combo!
thanks!@@AnzelLmao

I think they were perfectly fine!
Ordered min a week or 2 ago. Went with champagne and stone washed silver weight and gonna go with either blue bubblegums or u4t's.
That sounds like a great combo! It’s been a while since I’ve tried U4T’s, they’re so good!

What's ur fav kpop group?
MY BOI
imma be real i barely listen to kpop LOL. If i do it's either NewJeans or le sserafimbc I'm basic like that HAHA
@AnzelLmao that's a W, le sserrifim got me to play OW again for a bit when they dropped the collab, so the marketing is working lol

I don’t blame ya man! Neo has some great stuff comin up soon!
Which one is clacker this or neo65
They’re very close imo
Waiting for mine to ship!
I hope you love it! What config did you grab??
@@AnzelLmao Red Board, Black Stoned washed weight, POM Plate. Planning on pairing the board with vertex v1s and gmk jamon.

whats the layout support for the HS pcb?
Tons of support for all the pcbs! ANSI, ISO, tsangan/7u, split bs, rs, ls, you name it!! Check out the product page for more!
Struggling to decide between the neo80 and the neo70. Which would u recommend and how do the boards differ in sound?
unfortunately I haven't really tried the neo70 so I can't speak on it! They should both be pretty similar though, so honestly just go for the form factor you like best!
How does the rgb work
its configurable through via:)
Damn, wanted to order one after your video but the pre order ended Jan 10
You can still get them!
@@AnzelLmaoreally?! Ashkeebs says sold out and ended Jan 10 🥹
oooo idk about ashkeebs. i know you can buy direct from their website or from the US vendors though. Maybe see if those are viable options?@@ericx3woo
Should be an in stock board basically.
We need more 70% boards
FRLTKL is the new wave
