Raul Jimenez was a force. One of the most complete strikers before his injury. Big, strong, could bully you, could score goals for fun, great hold up play. Reminded me of a Prime Diego Costa.
so skilful too. Good with his feet and great in the air
I remember his debut Vs Everton when he scored that header
@@dabbigailwilliams the most important thing is, he could get goals. There was no doubt about his ability in front of the goal. And he also played w a smile on his face.
He was not dirty like costa
Finished L tri striker now. Pexico fans and coaches always disrespected him at his prime. They still do with santi. They’re only talent💀. Still pick shitty liga Mx payers over premier league players.
He was our leader, and we haven’t replaced him. The man was a legend, and got treated crap buy us.🐺
absolute gem of a guy aswell
He really wasn't. After the way in which Coady behaved behind the scenes we treated him very well. If it was up to me I would have marched him out of the club on the spot.
Jota, Raul and Adama were such a good attack tor wolves. Im a united fan but back then they were so fun to watch. Shame that it had to end so fast
I absolutely love Conor Coady. I live in Wolves and frequently went to home games. He was always the last man off the pitch applauding the fans win draw or lose. TOP MAN.
Hearing English speak about Raul like this is giving me goosebumps makes me so proud thank you
👍🏻🐺
When Jimenez was at his best I think he was 2nd or 3rd best number 9 in the league at the time. He could do everything, sometimes they'd just boot the ball up to him and he'd manage to control it then hold it up for 10 seconds 1v3 till his team got up the pitch, unreal player
But he was the 3rd or 4th best on the L tri team
He'd be your guys' greatest striker oat if he put on that horrible jersey of yours 😂@@sushipizza4439
@@sushipizza4439 And Pulishit was on the bench rotting away at Chelsea while Jimenez was doing his thing. Shitty ass USMNT team fans forgot Mexico has been their daddy for all of history. Bros so frustrated that he stays hating on Mexico get a job lil bro 💀
@@sushipizza4439And? Mexico always been ass not surprising they had him 4th
@@MrHammer234 yeah, L tri has a lot of corruption but yes now they have really ass players. Lozano raul and corona 3-4 years ago would of actually been quite good ngl
You can tell how much the club really meant for coady, the enthusiasm he has whenever talking about wolves. Best captain I've ever seen
Ever since that terrible injury he unfortunately became a shadow of himself. Hopefully he can find some form again.
In every single interview I’ve seen coady comes across as a top guy, what a man to have in the dressing room
Unfortunately that was far from the case, and it was his own behaviour and ill-discipline that led to his departure.
@@garethwilkinson5267Care to elaborate on your bullshit?
Respect Coady there seems to be a curse on former Club America strikers unfortunately we’ve lost so many legends to tragedies
Benitez and Cabanas 🥲
chuchito ;/
@@mrQueven13those two guys were both hell of a strikers. Better than todays strikers in the liga mx. my childhood was great watching them as well back then
I can still hear the noise from the collision. I’ve never watched it back.
Love Raul and Conor. Should have kept both players in my opinion 🐺
Rarely comment on RUclips videos but had to drop one for this podcast. Listened on Spotify and it was one of the best ones 👊🏾 what a guy Coady is
He was so immense for the Mexican national team. There has been a real drop-off for the whole team since Rauls injury. It actually has allowed the US to get so good these past couple years
Bollox Mexico have never been that great
Mexico and USA are both ass. Jimenez plays no part in it either lmao
@@Tomtomjamesonwe were that good
no way! he had glimpses like that bicycle kick but he never had the same link up like he did with wolves so he never really thrived
He’s never consistently played well for Mexico
On 9/9/2011, I captained Molde FK against Conor Coady & Liverpool in the NexGen series. I had the privilege to play at THE historic Anfield…(they thrashed us 4-0). On the date, Liverpool started Coady, Raheem Sterling, Suso, and Andre Wisdom (to name a few). Liverpool were class hosts. Wolfsburg and Sporting Lisbon were the other two sides in our group. Conor has probably forgotten the occasion given his prestigious career, but as a Yank abroad, it was one of the most surreal and remarkable days of my life.
Wow impressive mate cool story. Great last name too
How was your football career?
What’s your name? I’m also american did you rep us? I respect you for going to europe. More of our players should of done it back then!
Edit: after I quick google search I realized you were released by molde in 2013. Did anything happen after that? This is actually real what he’s saying. Very interesting story and glad that it happened to you
How was it being under the management of Ole solskjaer?
Amazing episode ❤ Huge Jimenez fan as well. Glad he was able to recover
Vamoss Jimenez ‼️🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🧡
That 4-0 win was one of the best games and I’ll always remember the constant stick we gave to Foster and you could quite clearly see how it effected his every move in the game. Hated Foster as a player in games but absolutely love him outside of football and as a person 🤣
I was at Wembley for that semi final and remember looking at the clock at 77 minutes thinking we are hanging on. Horrible day 😂
I was at that Watford game and actually felt sorry for Foster. It was bullying at the highest level
I didn't feel bad. One of the funniest days of my life watching him get rattled by us and put one on a plate for podence to score 😂😂😂
Sticks & stones. He's a big boy
It’s just pantomime. Don’t be soft calling it bullying 😂
I'm a wolves fan , gutted when coads left
Very off topic but What’s up with nicknames that doesn’t even shorten the name?? Coady is even easier to say than Coads lol
Why did he leave wolves?
@@SauliBo1Philly Fodez
@@Do27gg Bruno Lage idiotically moved him on 😡😡😡😡😡
@@SauliBo1 I don't know mate but that was his nickname
That neves chip over foster tho 🔥
Watching from South Africa, glad you did that wrexham stint, we needed to see you protect the line one more time. It was worth it, and welcome back to normal crazy life
That era for us was unreal, coady was the pinical of what we were. Raul, neves, motinho, saiss. They all made the time special.
The Watford game at Molinuex was FUNNY! Fair play to Foster though, took it on the chin, secretly he loved it!
What a player, so sad the way it ended
Raul jimenez was one of the best strikers in the world before the injury , glad he’s on the mend !
Lmfao no he wasn’t. To say he was one of best in the world is insane
@@Ooth9999Real Madrid we’re actually interested in signing him at one point
@@landedpainter2752 madrid signed kepa this summer. Does that make him one of the best in the world?
@@Ooth9999he was so promising just like Raul kepa was way younger though well is
Best in world ? He was not even top in 20🤣
It looks like he's getting back to form. Those injuries have been devastating
As much stick as Foster gets when he is against the Wolves, i really do like the guy and respect him as a quality keeper! Just banter! Love the podcasts and love how down to earth you are! Keep it up lad (Wolves Fan)
I still love Conor. Hope he's doing well at Leicester.
i remember the noise, honestly the only time I have felt sick watching football
Most underrated player in the world .
Cracking pod ben! ❤
Conor’s a top lad. Glad the Wolves support affected you so much Foz, serves you right.
Let's be honest although it's tragic this injury ruined raul jimenez's career poor guy
That moment marked the end of Wolves. It was the last time that management tried to compete.
Gutted Connor went to the blue nose lot - still a cracking pro and bloke though
i remember watching it live, the cracking noise still haunts me
I was in the Steve Bull Lower near Foster when we beat them 4-0…it was relentless 😂
After that injury. Omg. Wolves were doomed
Loved Conor coady I was hoping he’d stay with us after Everton he’ll always be a wolves legend
His reputation was tarnished after the events that led to his departure and even after Everton didn't take up their option there was no way that he was ever going to come back. He was a horrid individual behind the scenes.
I miss you captain ♥
Why was Conor in the England squad 8 months ago and now deemed not good enough for the premier league.
Jota was the start of wolves slide when he went
1:30 When you get home and head to your dark room to slide it into the missus but forgot your mate was staying over instead
It’s not the hardest job in the world but I get the sentiment 😊
The sale of Jota was an enormous mistake. A pure gem.
Not exactly a mistake when a club like Liverpool comes in for him. No chance Wolves would’ve been able to keep ahold of him lol
Nonsense @@Herondinho
@@nf-ol5ge Tell me how it’s nonsense🤣 you think Jota would rather have continued to play for Wolves? Second the offer came in for him he’d have jumped on it immediately without hesitation
@@nf-ol5ge Difficult to keep a player once an offer comes in from a club like Liverpool. For many players it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and they wouldn't be happy if the club didn't let them go provided a reasonable fee was agreed. No sense keeping an unhappy player. I'm a Liverpool fan and we've had that with Barca. Nothing good came of trying to stop it. It's not as if Wolves (the club, not the fanbase) are particularly loyal to their players - Coady got shunted right quick.
Miss you skipper 🥲.. Hope to see you back in molineux one day wearing the old gold.
David luiz ruined the career of one of the best no 9s in the world so sad he will always be our no 9 . si senor 🇲🇽
Absolute rubbish. David Luiz did nothing more than compete for a header in the way that hundreds of players do every season. Occasionally a player is seriously injured. Occupational risk.
Remember being at the semi final and when Jota and Neves went off i said to my dad this is a hell of risk to take them off as they bossed that game for us.
The reason some are using their head is because the ball has been (intentionally) passed to them by their teammate, a keeper isn’t allowed to touch the ball with his hands in that case, if he does then it’s a free kick from wherever the keeper was when he touched the ball to the other team
What a team we had under Nuno with our captain Coady. Now we're just 💩
Should have beat united. Nunes Mateus will be a big loss if he goes great player
That was horrific the sound was disgusting
Jimenez was criminally underrated. Such a complete striker who even went back to defend. High workrate
i was at the game when you were bantered and we were brutal to you 😭
It wasn't just the Wo1ve5 was it Ben? It was the time wasting you would always do against us. Oh and the beautiful Neves assist you described as a "hoof" at Vicarage Road.
'scoring goals hardest job in the world' pretty sure the hardest job in football would be GK - impossible to argue otherwise
Wolves hasn’t recovered from that injury
It was like petr cech’s. Both brutal
It’s sad to see that people blame David luiz for this injury. It was a complete accident yet people act like he hit him on purpose
Is Jimenez anywhere close to the same player now?? I’ve not seen enough of him recently ! He could’ve played for a top European team at one point !!!!
He’s not been the same after his injury
He is slowly gettin his form back
David Luiz needs to be in jail.
Full podcast?
he will never be the same sadly sucks man cuz he was mexican like me and i was rooting for him .
Cmon Coady, Enzo needs you fit
Conor il be honest with ya Coady
I'm a WBA fan and the missus Wolves, we both agree it was bullying but also deserved 😂
Wish you'd just upload full videos here. Being forced to listen to the fucking pepsi max adverts on a premium subscription is a piss take.
HE-MEN-EZ
I’ve always wanted to see this duo Ben n Conor 😎😎 they have the same personality,
fun,😜😉focus, 🧐 chatty 😵🥴lol 🤣
Honest opinion, i dont think he should be playing football anymore. Its obvious hes nowhere near his best and hes bringing his team down. Sad, just facts i like the guy i think hes a good person.
What do you think, scrap extra time, and go straight to penalties?
Imagine this guy on drugs he would chew ur ear off
Conor’s got one of those real scouse accents, not like those fake ones you can’t understand 😅
Funny because he’s from St Helens
Which is still Merseyside isn't it? It's not just a Liverpool accent.
Hes got an old school scouse accent like from the 70’s/80’s .a really nice accent in my opinion.
Mackems are from Sunderland
Should ask what’s it like to ruin your career leaving a team that’s backed ya since day one to join a side that was destined for the relegation battle to simply end up in the championship
My captain still 🟧⬛️
Yes i know hes not from Liverpool but hes from mersyside. This is a nice scouse accent not like the kids you hear now with the scatty accent.
Coady is dead to me after the way in which he behaved the scenes. Good riddance to the shouty man. Shouty man on the pitch and unfortunately a shouty man off it, which ultimately was his own downfall. You can't act and mouth off at people in the manner Coady did and expect to stay at the club.
blue nose wool
i remember the noise, honestly the only time I have felt sick watching football
