    Loma saying he is thankful to Linares of teaching him a lesson... Its priceless, it talks of a humble man, and a true CHAMPION!

    • @ninmmkmfdm
      @ninmmkmfdm 6 лет назад +1

      lecheparavaka like loma said he got too confident and let his gaurd down, got caught walking in high threw a deflated jab and linares didnt let him get his feet under him. Straight right to the face of loma. As he is going dow. His feet were all close together

      BigLurch 1 thats why... He got confident and got caught slipping..

      BigLurch 1 the same thing aylas said about thr prefight breakdown. On what linares should do. Great fight. And this proves he is only human and still proved himself

    Lomachenko embodies what I think a true champion should look like. Outside the ring he is:
    - humble
    - never comes up with excuses,
    - always focused only on the fight ahead
    - doesn't care how the judges or the ref are doing their job,
    - takes lessons from victory and defeat no matter the outcome
    - Exceeds expectations from fans and haters with every new fight
    - improving in english :P
    Inside the ring he is:
    - most technical and fluid boxer that has ever lived, incorperates skills from past and modern all time greats and makes them his own. true modern boxing science, he is pushing the meta game and shows the world how a boxer in 2018 can look like
    - one of the most smartest fighter, insane fight IQ, decisive and intelligent in decision making, conditioning oppponents and reads. beautiful to watch
    - best offensive evasion game, always in your face pressuring but never there when you want to hit him.
    - best footwork ever displayed by humanity. period.
    - combination punches with extraordinary angles, precision and speed. can even knock out a guy like linares even though he is bigger and loma lacks punching power compared to other fighters. This is what true skill makes you able to do.Always fighting clean aswell, true to his personality.
    - incredible cardio, one of his often overlooked strenghts due to every other skill of him beeing so flashy but its his cardio that backs it all up. Clearly earned through hard work and dedication and makes him able to keep up that pace. In this fight he even went up a notch after the 9th round which won him the fight.
    - And lastly: He is a fighter down to the core. I think the fight with Russel and now with Linares proved that. Both fights came down to a point where they refused to play Loma's game and kept firing back aggressive. You would think that it is at that point where Loma will crack, but it is always the opposite. Even though he is dodging and slipping like no other, he is an offensive fighter by nature. He controls the center through pressure and he wont back down when he brought out the best out of his opponent.
    That is what seperates Loma from Floyd. Both led an incredibly succesful boxing life, coached by their fathers. Both will be remembered as one of the greatest of all time and certainly the greatest of our time.
    Floyd has a perfect record and made more money than anyone else. But his fights are less entertaining to watch for many people and his outside personality may sell fights, but are hardly an inspiration to young people and future generations.
    But Loma is a rolemodel. He shows what true skill and class looks like inside and outside the ring. He fights for completely different values than floyd . For him it's not about the money, it's about artistic perfection.
    As boxing fan, I feel very blessed to be able to witness that in my own life time. It would be a shame to only know him as a past legend and never truly be able to relate what his performances meant for the boxing world at that time.

      Good commentary. Not at all certain that all of Loma's knockout victims would agree that he lacks punching power. It takes serious punching power to knock out an opponent with a body shot.

      I mean I'm sure Linares promoted himself even more with that fight. Hell, I didn't know him before and now I love that guy. He is a fucking beast. But I agree with your comment. They could have asked him more questions. It wasn't only about Loma. It was for both champions to make such a beautiful fight.

      Linares came to win and he did well. But his face got messed up and he was not active enough late to keep Loma off of him. Loma better be careful though. Mikey Garcia is levels above Linares. He is smarter and hits harder and he has a better jab. If Loma beats Mikey and continues on to eventually become like 25-1 or something, than you can argue he is Top 10 all time. But he HAS to beat Mikey to become one of the best ever instead of just one of the best of his era. Same with Crawford. He has to beat Spence to elevate himself to legend status.

      Linares looked great but I don’t like the arm holding. It’s cheap and degrades the quality of a fighter. I view it as cheating when people get overwhelmed so they clench up and get reset by the ref. When loma did the work to get close just so linares can grab and get reset he needs to lose points no matter what

    Lomachenko and GGG the two boxers in boxing today. I think this weight class is Lomachenko's limit. He's better at his previous two lower weight classes. Linares was much bigger and the size difference made this fight much harder for Lomachenko. Lomachenko is still more talented than Linares and it showed in the end.

    All time classic fight. Loma started off so well and was outboxing Linares, but then Linares started to time him and use his own footwork to counter Loma's movement and turning.
    Linares timed Loma perfectly with the straight right, but it wasn't enough as Loma showed grit and heart to get the win.

    • @ahmedaaa4328

    Loma was on his way to taking Linares' soul and was being nonchalant in the 6th to further take Linares' confidence and got caught. Jorge regained his confidence after that punch and won the next rd. Vasyl was nonchalant on purpose, it was no accident. He thought he had Linares on the verge of being beat mentally and was gonna be another No Mas casualty. Great fight. Incredible skill by Loma over a bigger, stronger elite boxer. Loma is the best boxer and my pick for best athlete in the world.

    WTF?!! Till knockdown it was a total declass by Loma? He was so surprised of being on his but that he stopped this dismantling process somehoew. Linares not even close to worst Loma's day version. Everyone of best boxers were in knockdown, even Floyd from Judah. Its a boxing you can get hit and still Loma easily outclassed this dude despite all his saying before this match i would do this i would do that-Loma went out and schooled him being from lower weigh class and smaller guy!

    Lomachenko proved his class by getting up off the canvas and stopping a warrior in Linares. I had it even until stoppage. People are blinded by their awe for Lomachenko (including the commentators) that they gave him most rounds. Really good fight by both men. Conclusion - Lomachenko is a legend, Linares a warrior.

    For people that actually pay attention to the details, you can clearly see loma’s foot slip under him like it did in the previous round when he tried to side step linares. It was a great punch and a clean knockdown but he was not stunned at all, just knocked him off balance.

    • @SweetChariotOfFire
      @SweetChariotOfFire 6 лет назад

      Linares was fighting toe to toe and had a shot to actually win it. It very close! Loma’s liver shot hurt more than the punch to the face by Linares. They both walked the line of momentum. Neither could really take over, and ultimately came down to one punch. Great fight!

    • @SweetChariotOfFire
      @SweetChariotOfFire 6 лет назад

      Tupac Yeah there were rounds that were clearly Linares, and a pair that were definitely Loma, I’m glad it didn’t come down to scores, but in the end I’d say that 2 point lead by Loma should’ve been 1 at most. It was closer than we thought. Linares is a back half fighter and would’ve turned it on in the 11th and 12th, so for Loma’s sake it was nice to get KO in the 10th.

    • @evanh.6462
      @evanh.6462 6 лет назад +1

      SweetChariotOfFire I feel like Loma's a stronger back half fighter than Linares so it would've been an interesting end. He was looking more worn down than Loma towards the end. But he was also catching Loma in moments Loma's never been in before. That 5 punch combo caught him hella off guard in 9. Actually got me worried Loma was gonna lose at that point

Loma so much smaller schooled him all rounds, and just cause he got caught doesn’t mean anything, he wasn’t laying there dying lol he instantly got up and was ready to continue the fight so, no excuses that referee stopped the fight early lol there’s 10’seconds and you know that, so if you ready get up before he counts to 10 ugh don’t like when ppl bring excuses.
