What's great about this is that the way you set it up the stakes are much more real. You can't be careless , crash, die, come back and claim. That is YOUR ship. This makes it feel unlike basically any other SC content!

I’m anxious about that setback, but I really love the fact that you’re out in your ship living as a crew-and the fact that you’re on the wrong side of the law in a Drake ship is completely apropos. Thank you for explaining how criminal missions work-I’ve never understood them completely, and now that I’ve got a Corsair and a wipe is incoming, maybe I’ll finally start climbing that ladder. Especially if they fix those dang grimhex elevators. I love that station’s flavor, but I have to admit that I detest the asteroid field on the way in, especially when it’s night-side.

Regarding damaged ground vehicles: My theory is that ground vehicles take splash damage when the corsair is hit by missiles, I've had some success mitigating this by leaving the vehicle's power on, but turning the engine off, I assume keeping the shields on helps mitigate damage.
Never played this but I’m hooked on this series. It’s amazing. Makes me want to play so badly, but I can’t. I’m awaiting more videos to slake my thirst for this rare kind of gripping content.

Part 4, i love it. I know the surplus shop on Providence. I buy the medium armor and do bunker runs as a "crusader style" attack force member. I like that Aril set, looks a bit like Tau from warhammer 40k. 🤣
I just started using my DIY TrackIR with Star Citizen again and started getting motion sick watching this, emulating your head movements without realising as you walked around. You have such a small deadzone and lots of smoothing applied :p Loving this more narrative and experience based content
@9:25 OMG I thought it was just me. I don't think this is limited to the Corsair. I had one in the garage of my Carrack. It started ok, but as soon as I tried to roll it backwards it said something about systems critical and then wouldn't move. I ended up having to reclaim it.
oh wow! that's very interesting cobaltblue! we have had like 4 Ursa's fail this past week in the cargo bay (one of them is very funny though so will be in the next episode) and i thought it might be a weird corsair issue. nice to know other ships are having the same problem
haha I kinda thought that too but i think it would look better if they tapered off before reaching the legs or something :) would love to see some plainer jumpsuits tough - just a zip up the front and a few pockets maybe, in grey or black :)

14:20 to 14:41 or there abouts: THAT WAS FUCKING AMAZING EMERGENT GAMEPLAY. I mean JUST The way its' designed to be! Wow. Dude thought he was going to power up a comm array and those missions are most often never defended that at all, and the poor guy had no idea you needed those down to do your mission! Would have been cool if you hailed the guy to let him know he could leave and go on another mission, but a missle up us ass works just as well ;)
This series has been awesome! Are you going to do this with other ships? For instance: 1. Living on the smallest ship possible (maybe the new medical picese?) 2. Other ships like the Corsair (retaliator, merc star runner, hercules, corsair etc) 3. A comparison on what its like to live on these ships overall maybe something like it. Even if you ignore all of those suggestions you have made a great series and I look forward to what you come up with next. Cheers!
I really love your videos, been watching since the Anti Xeno days and have followed your journey in SC as we swapped games around the same time. Love the editing, narration and the general vibe of them. I wish, however, that you didn't use head tracking while on foot. The view is always tilted in some way, and the movements are jarring, if you are not the one wearing the head tracker. That's my only piece of feedback! Stay safe, I look forward to watching Skunk shenanigans during 3.18!
Rover: Best vehicle in the game/worst vehicle in the game. I've had a couple malfunctions with it in the Corsair, but it also had the same issues when I put it in the Valkyrie. Plus you exit the Rover inside a ship, it clips you halfway inside the roof of the transport vessel and you have to wiggle your way outside. But no other ship of it's size can hold as many passengers, so we put up with it.
I wish I could find a group like this. None of my friends want to play star citizen because the wait times (quantum travel),lag and bugs. I get burnt out quick
oh totally - there are people that cant even stand the very minor bugs we see in SC - they really shouldnt be gamers lol but what can you do? Come jump on our server and play with the Skunks :) you'll find plenty of enthusiastic peoepl there
They need to make the jumpsuits you find on missing crew missions or some of the hanger crews around the verse available. It's a better looking coveralll
6:19 The voice on the radio sounds so cool that it adds the same immersion into the essence of what is happening, as if you are involved in working with cool professionals. You definitely need to transfer all members of your faction to this type of sound filter )

How do you turn on the directional impact warnings? Is it a mod of some sort, or ship specific? Because I don't think I've ever heard it from anything I've flown so far. Edit: A side note about the Ursa. I've found that all of the wheeled ground vehicles have a bug where if they're left in the ship without fully shutting them down, not just turning off the engines, that they'll basically use up their fuel and stop working. Not sure if there's something new with the corsair or not, but I've experienced it with connies, cutties, a 400i, etc.
So have they not made the security station the only place to hack yet? I thought they were making only one place to hack your crime stat away. Did they change thier minds?
no its all on the live servers - crashes dont really matter much though since crash protection was added - your ship and all its contents just get stored at the last station you were at

Its not just Ursa's mysteriously malfunctioning, Cyclones too. The Drivetrains heath drop to 0 for some reason. PTV seems to survive though, weirdly.

Our taskforces are spread over several timezones so ther are usually people on - I myself tend to be on between 2200UTC and 0400UTC
